  1. So useless, that you can't even describe them as useless.
  2. @Vynce Love means the acceptance of what is. What is, is consciousness. Anything that arises within and as consciousness can do so because consciousness is 100% accepting of everything. There is nothing that consciousness would say "no" to. Because consciousness is without boundaries. Existence is Love. Notice, that the moment something exists, it is "accepted" as existing, no matter what or how it is. Existence can't "reject" anything from existence. Existence can only 100% accept (aka. love infinitely) itself as what it is. Imagine you would say "YES, FOREVER, TO EVERYTHING THAT WANTS TO BE, YES!!?" That's what consciousness is. Is! Not "does", but is. Consciousness is Love.
  3. If God is hiding underneath all the pain, it is also hiding underneath all the pleasure. And if God is hiding, it is also in plain sight
  4. ...which is just another way of saying "I control this part, but not this part." Again, beware the trap of solipsism.
  5. And yet you believe that you are in control of some, but not other parts of the dream.
  6. @Tyler Durden You're getting trapped in solipsism. Watch out for that.
  7. Do you find a flaw here? @cypres Everything doesn't become one, since there can only be one everything. But I'm assuming that's what you meant anyway? The problem with talking about "everything" is that it can't be done, since saying anything about everything is essentially not saying anything about anything, because language is always dualistic and thus less than everything. Edit: what I meant to say with that meme was that the "mechanism" by which infinity (everything) appears to be finite (less than everything/infinity) is through forgetting itself - as it must.
  8. In infinity, you can't be anywhere but in the center. Nothing better to strive for, nothing lower to descend to.
  9. @cypres Then I don't understand your question anymore? I thought you were wondering how it is that we think each of us is a finite self?
  10. @cypres Careful not to get lost in abstractions. Nothing made God think anything - not really. Didn't you see the meme I posted? It wasn't just a silly meme about Dori. It was my answer to your question.
  11. @cypres There can't be anything prior to reality, because "prior to" is part of reality.
  12. @BeHereNow Actually yes, they do. Of course it's impossible to say what exactly is going to happen and when, but it's safe to say that if we keep going the way we do, catastrophe will follow no matter what. Climate change is a very thoroughly researched subject. @Scholar Yeah that's probably what's going to happen. We'll corner ourselves, begin to panic and only then implement radical measures. How about we don't let that happen to begin with and rather wise up now??
  13. I think the stuff that Leo talked about in his latest video sounded exactly what Leo Tsu taught in his Daodejing. @Leo Gura You can't be serious abut this. First of all, they're not nonsense, they contain a lot of value, each spiritual tradition covers a some aspect of awakening to a certain depth. Calling it "nonsense" is just ignorant. What you're saying sounds just like any old dogmatic teaching, even though you might object to me calling it that.
