  1. It's funny because I once unexpectedly saw leo's name mentioned in a spiral dynamics blog where he was described as that "charismatic bald guy" lol
  2. Visions
  3. What I do here, these research and brainstorming stuff are truly hard. Doesn't come out unless I'm in some sort of need/and the lack of it which is the one causing the pain. Aka.... the human condition? "man cannot remake himself without suffering, for he is both the marble and the sculptor." — alexis carrel (not supporting the guy in a way)
  4. Despair What is to be done? Nervous breakdowns... things out of order.
  5. I've got a lot of things in my mind rn. Looking for a reliable note-taking trick. My goal: to see the beauty and glory behind the things I study (reality, consciousness, psychology). I'm quite insecure about being young... like are my ideas not to be trusted, merely because I'm young? But then again David Lynch made/released Eraserhead as one of his earlier films? What's my relation to pain? What's the meaning-centric relation to pain? What's an objective psychiatric pov on an abuse patient's relation to pain? Power is knowing... How do I work?
  6. Life- According to Seneca, "the whole of it calls for tears." Like... what are we even? Just pure consciousness in a body? How does one explain time? Like, a thing's there and then suddenly it's not. Our emotions, cognition, our memories. All of it's chaotic and... brilliant.
  7. the secret to creativity is that need to see what will happen next. In this sense everyone is creative. It's just the type of creativity that varies.
  8. Intelligent design ("Nothing's wrong with the world" -Michael Lerner) How do you create when you're in a bad mood? Integrate (?) Acceptance. To eat the egg that is our pain. Takes practice, of course. Grannon- take responsibility for your emotions. ---- Burroughs: The face of "evil" is always the face of total need. A dope fiend is a man in total need of dope. Beyond a certain frequency need knows absolutely no limit or control. In the words of total need: "Wouldn't you?" Yes you would. You would lie, cheat, inform on your friends, steal, do anything to satisfy total need. Because you would be in a state of total sickness, total possession, and not in a position to act in any other way. Dope fiends are sick people who cannot act other than they do. A rabid dog cannot choose but bite. (this in my view is the reason why we need knowledge... because knowledge sheds light on all parts of life; so yes, let the truth be said: knowledge is power). Teal Swan- desire is not the problem. it's your beliefs.
  9. Fear is just a feeling Needs, however, make the world go round Normal and healthy human traits - a sort of "spectrum" (Vaknin) intertwined with culture (Vaknin) Shadow work = making the cultural conditioning conscious (the shadow) This is, in a way, a process of alchemy. If I'm not mistaken, the unconscious manifests in the form of complexes (felt in the body) Perhaps complexes are the same as neurosis. Or like very similar to each other.
  10. Building a Google drive of necessary self-actualization tools Thing to ponder about: is self-actualization still necessary if you don't want it? Research: teal swan- wants or needs? motivation for decisions
  11. The idea of a commonplace journal Been learning a lot lately... My only "ideology": know thyself.
  12. Life is either tourniquet or fornicate
  13. Those people are ferocious. Try to keep away from them as much as you can.
  14. being honest about my pain path to enlightenment? jung emphasized the importance of.... thinking and heart balance martingbutler- if people are nice to you they need something from you hypervigilance? nope. awareness of hypervigilance itself, as well as your conscious memory of said wisdom- in fact any wisdom vaknin- people objectify others (idk if he said habitually??) of course, projection. primitive defense mechanism- splitting :0 self bias- "we love ourselves better but care more about the thoughts of everyone else" (Aurelius I think, paraphrased)
