Yea but regardless of the shooter’s motive is, I think the mainstream media is so disconnected from how the actual population feels. Like they are genuinely surprised that no one gives a fuck, like do these guys care this much when someone who is not a ceo dies?

You don't expect traffic to be stopped and FBI involved and news media to report every single murder now do you. One is happening every minute, so you have to be a bit more rational in that train of thinking.

    What picture?

You said you exist because your parents had sex. So, I'm saying, that can't be what really happened because we as humans shouldn't have to bear suffering because our parents had sex, so something is wrong with that picture. Didn't ask to come here, but we have to figure life out.

@Princess Arabia thank you. I know sometimes I complain about my trauma and life situation. My goal isn't merely to make people feel sorry and pity me. The reality is that I know there are people out there suffering deeply like me. I know if I killed myself, then I would be unable to help others make it through these challenges by sharing what helped me. I know deep down if I can overcome the challenges I face in life, then I can use all the wisdom I gained along the way to help countless others. I have saved people from things like suicide, an existential crisis, kidnapping, and predatory loaning before. These people would be dead if I didn't find the strength to carry on. Humanity would be hurt if I killed myself. I try to find meaning in my suffering by using it to develop deep compassion and empathy and then using my wisdom to help whoever I can. I think my life purpose has something to do with this, but first I want to love and accept myself. Once I master this, I will be able to help an unknown number of people.

Keep doing what you're doing and you're in my heart.❤️

  4. @trentonYour comment touched me and I I wanted to say thank you for reaching out to OP with such a heart-felt response. You did that from the heart and poured a lot of emotion and thought into it. I know your partial story too, and I could tell you could relate to what OP was expressing; and as a lover of life and humans you probably felt called to respond with so much love, care and compassion. It always touches my heart when I see genuine acts of love between humans shared with one another and when expressed in such a genuinely heart-felt way. When reading OP's post, i felt like responding because it touched me so and I could see parts of myself within it, but I decided not to, just to give myself space to not respond to everything that gives a rise in emotion within me and to allow for it to settle itself on it's own. I felt every word expressed on both ends and I just wanted to thank you because you didn't just reach out to OP but to anybody that read your words and probably needed to hear. That's the power of Oneness.

I’m not really sure what to even trust. But it seems from what I’ve read the Nordic nutrition recommendation is based on a big body of research and that’s why I saw it as a good part of a foundation, to see one perspective of what the science says. It’s not for no reason they say that. There’s this quote too I’ve heard “Eat food. Mostly plants, not too much” . I personally don’t follow the recommendation about low fat diary for example. So I don’t follow it all. And I also make sure to feel for myself what feels good to eat

I'm not saying it's all bad, I just tread on thin ice with them. Smart choice to feel for yourself and how the body reacts.

If I would try to get a foundational understanding of nutrition I would read from major sources like the Nordic Nutrition Recommendations which is based on a lot of science.

I don't trust any of those big companies like the WHO, FDA, PHARMACEUTICALS etc, they are usually connected and profit-based, and are not holistic enough. Anybody that recommends low fat dairy or anything low fat for that matter, that is not originally low fat, I don't trust. Ever seen the foods served in hospitals and that the WHO recommends to sick out-patients. The food pyramid is also misleading. I go with private institutions, holistic companies and nothing to do with the government. The FDA permits poisons on the supermarket shelves and a lot of people that work as pharmacists are ex-FDA employees - I know because I knew one personally.

It might apply to some with depression. I know a person with depression and they have struggle with self image too, unstable sense of self, so it might be what you mentioned. So mind will be all over the place. It can also be connected to having a negative self image. Or a disconnect from oneself.

The reason why I mentioned poisons, is because they can disrupt the hormones, create a neurological imbalance which can also cause one's dopamine levels to drop or oxy...levels (not sure of the mechanisms), but bottomline, drops the mood and creates those kinds of thought patterns. They can be related. There can be biological or neurological or psychological reasons why people think of themselves a certain way or develop low levels of dopamine. These can be traced back to certain poisons/chemicals in our food.

I know there’s toxins in almost everything nowadays. If you eat a healthy diet, especially organic, it has less toxins, I don’t know how much of an effect it has though, how much it is in it. So I can’t say in that case. I think in most cases if a person eats healthy and are still depressed it’s probably not due to diet

It helps of course; problem is, some aren't even aware of what "healthy" is. It's not so cut and dry and gmo's are prevalent too. An apple may not even be an apple these days. People might think cows milk is healthy, fluorinated water, eating wheat bread, it's very complicated if you're not educated in this field somewhat. Lots of misunderstandings. Eating mostly organic, fresh and whole is usually the better choice, but many unhealthy foods are lurking around as healthy to unsuspecting consumers who either misinterpret the packaging, e.g low fat, gluten free, thinking its healthy or meatless burgers filled with poisons. These are just random examples of how we may think we're eating something healthy but aren't. Not to mention those sports drinks advertised as healthy.

I didn’t read the entire post but a thought I had about depression is that our minds are not made for the average lifestyle we have today. We have so much free time , so much comfort. In the past we would be worried and occupied by survival and have no time to be depressed because of this constant occupation and also thighknit community probably contributed too to us not being depressed vs today we are more isolated.

It’s ofc possible to live the modern todays lifestyle with zero depression but this was a thought I had about what might contribute to it.

Please don't underestimate the power of poisons affecting our neurological systems. Lots of poisons in our foods today and can have effects on our moods and disrupt our hormones. Nobody speaks about this much, but it is a factor.
