One thing I've noticed about social media and online forums is that unless they have a really specific reason for it the people who post the most frequently tend to have less healthy relationships with the medium. that ocd-like urge to maintain a cycle of posting and checking your responses and posting some more can become extremely addictive. And then because you spend so much time there you become really attached and take it more seriously than the rest of the users while simultaneously coming across to new users like you know what you're talking about because you're such a regular. I've struggled with this in online communities in the past and have largely completely altered how I interact online because of it. It's a tough balance to strike for some people.

From what i've learned it's an extremely fiendish stim high. very similar to something like Adderall, but with the smoking ritual, long duration, and slow building tolerance making it more addictive. Doesn't sound enjoyable to me at all tbh, even too much coffee makes me feel overstimulated. the "try it once and you get addicted for life" attitude seems like "Just Say No" anti-drug propaganda to me. That being said, I'm not gonna try that shit haha.

Planning on rewatching the series, and watching these commentaries for the first time before the 4th one comes out.

Leo going on Rogan would certainly be a fascinating several hours, mainly for how Joe and his audience would react to the things Leo talks about. But there's no way a conversation with Joe would come remotely close to the depth that the TOE interviews reached.

Great conversation. The first interview seemed like they were still settling in to how to best go about things so some of it was a bit clunky, but this one flowed fantastic. Leo and Curt have developed a nice chemistry together. I was crying at the same point that they cried and didn't know that they were crying too until I looked at the screen, that was a beautiful moment.

I'm surprised Leo didn't talk almost at all about Spiral Dynamics in this interview. I'd think that Curt's audience would be really into that.

I watched her interview Eckhart Tolle once and she seemed mostly clueless to what Tolle was talking about. Strange, since her support for his books was a big part of how he got so popular, you'd think it would have at least resonated with her on some level beyond the shallow mainstream new age mentality, but nah. But also not too surprising, since her show is aimed at mostly middle-aged normie moms.

I had a drinking problem for a couple years and that shit did NOT make me feel good. It exacerbated all my personal issues and made me hate myself. Stopped drinking for a few years, and now I can't stomach more than 1-2 drinks on rare occasions. My hangovers last longer than the buzz and if i'm not in a social environment it makes me ruminate negatively about my life. I also noticed since I began to do spiritual work that I really notice how much alcohol affects my judgement, and I really don't like how out of control it makes me feel.

I think you should take them as frequently as you can manage, at doses that you can handle, while also minding your tolerance and taking the time to integrate. How long that is will vary from person to person and between different psychedelics.

The experience of being the opposite gender (or any other variation of the spectrum that isn't your default) would surely be a worthwhile thing for people to experience. Understanding the perspective of the opposite gender would be a fantastic tool for improving relationships between men and women.

Quit Facebook. It's not important. Spamming people's FB feeds just makes you annoying. It wouldn't even matter what the articles were about I'd probably unfriend somebody who was constantly spamming my feed with posts too. Alternatively, limit yourself. select only ONE article a week that is the most important thing to share. (but really, if you've got this much of an issue with it, you should quit)

Got my 2nd moderna a few days ago. Def has some side effects this time. Sore arm like the 1st time, but also cold sweats and chills at night which wasn't fun. Though seems to have all gone away now. OK I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets this. Wasnt sure if I was imagining this sensation or not. it kinda reminded me a bit of the sensation of drinking and feeling the liquid flowing into your stomach, but less pleasant and significantly more weird.

The guy was a huge asshole and loved to troll and piss people off. He probably had a ton of powerful enemies so I wouldn't be surprised one bit if he was "Epstein'ed". Unlikely we'll ever know for sure. He basically lived the life of a supervillain, which I kinda find fascinating.

Obtained a DMT vape pen. I know they have a reputation of not being as good as smoking the pure substance extracted yourself (obviously). But that's something I'm OK with for now. The convenience the pen provides is appealing for someone new to the substance. I don't really know when I'm going to try it out yet, but I will start with smaller doses anyway. So even if this pen isn't the best, that will be OK since I'll likely only be dipping my toes in the kiddie pool at first anyway. If it turns out that DMT is something that I want to continue using and I find it difficult to go as deep with the pen as I want, then I'll invest in other consumption methods in the future.

Got my 1st shot of moderna a few days ago. no side effects except for a very sore arm. In Canada they quoted 13 weeks before we can get the 2nd shot... VERY different than in the US where 3-4 weeks seems to be the norm. Bit annoyed about that.

well if you aren't worried about things being permanent in conventional human terms, then psychedelics can do stuff like this.

Most of the podcasts I'd think to suggest have already been mentioned but a discussion with Andrés Gómez Emilsson I think would be a worthwhile one. He's mentioned Leo on his channel a handful of times recently so he's definitely already familiar with Actualized.

I "registered" to get the vaccine, but I dunno what that means for actually getting an appointment. I guess they'll contact me when it's time to schedule one? I dunno. We'll see!
