I agree. But I think there is no need to bash mystics. Everything in reality is perfectly inevitable. That's what awakening reveals to you. So there is no point bashing anyone or anything.

Well I'm already well aware that there's no such thing as "me" in reality. "I" am not a solid entity or some fixed object. Not a physical sensation. Not thoughts. It's just a fabrication. In fact every time I refer to myself as "I" or "me" it's a new "me". It's a different thing. Nothing is static. Everything is constantly decaying and transforming. I'm well aware of that as glimpses here and there. But to function in life you are forced to assume soild entity called "you".

It's one thing to theorize about it and to experience it is a very frightening experience. One exercise was about realizing the imaginary boundary between the subject and the object. That scared me a little bit.

Yes. It's good but too much. I might end up not having a clue who am I anymore after I finish it. It's like deconstructing your entire identity.

Let's flip the script. All these cool matrix ideas that you have are imaginary and what you called Your "imaginary life" is absolute reality. It's as real as it gets. Check in your direct experience and see if that's true. There's no where to go anyways. Your question implies that there is some sort of an ultimate destination to reality..when in fact all that exists is a path without end. There's a reason the matrix exists in the first place. It must be boring as fuck to stay in nirvanic oneness for eternity.

I can sense that. What confused me Leo says there is levels to awakening. I'm convinced that all of reality is itself awakening. So in that sense you could say there is endless levels to awakening that's true which is the same thing as saying there's zero levels to it and this is it lol.

That's true. I'm struggling with obtaining psychedelics tho. But I think I will be able to obtain them sometime in the future.

@Leo Gura how can I know who's "really" awake? . Different teachers have different concepts about what It means to be Awaken and they all think that's the only "real" awakening. Mooji : just realize the "I" thought is an illusion and stay as "isness". Rupert Spira : you are the knowing of experience. Be aware of being aware. Osho : meditate and stay in a silent mind. You : realize that you are God and you created the whole universe. How can I know which one is the highest method?

Says who? Science apparently explained a lot of things. Might not be able to explain everything. But to say it can't explain anything is just ridiculously false.

I think Leo should be the first one who wants science to understand psychedelics and be able to induce the psychedelic experience without actually taking them. Regarding awakening.. I agree with fred (the nonduality teacher they talked about in the other thread) that we are already awake. There's nothing to Awaken to. This is reality.. This is as real as it gets..hello, Can you see it?

Spira says there is multiple finite minds but only one infinite mind (what you call God) That's simultaneously inhabiting these different finite minds. What you say here is 100%solipsism. I respect your opinion. And I know that's most people's opinion here. I'm not trying to debate or disprove psychedelics as nonsense or mere hallucinations. I thought the video is interesting and offering the opposite perspective always reveals truth from falsehood. So there is no need to take these studies as debunking spiritual experiences but looking at it from different perspective is never a unuseful thing.
