  1. Contemplating this. Organically speaking, bigger egos seem to be found in males in comparison to females. Consciousness can be measured by how much or how little ego you have. Could this been a sign that women are more conscious? (Not to mention their prefrontal cortex develops faster than men). Please don’t take any of this personal, I could be grasping at straws here lol. Thought it would be interesting dialogue.
  2. Great question. Our sense of self is often tied with our positions on things. Going against that position means the death of ones existing way of interfacing with reality through various belief systems. This is threatening to the ego, and will often result in backlash in the form of denial, anger and projection. All of these emotions are rooted in the fear of realizing that you do not have the full picture of life.
  3. @Consept thank you! This is helpful.
  4. The answer is No, your current visual field is not the only thing that exists in the Universe. That would be known as solipsism, which is falsehood. There are infinite universes, but YOU as GOD are experiencing those infinite universes simultaneously…including yours, mine, everyone on the forum, etc.
  5. Becoming the authentic you is a recipe to lose many friendships that are superficial. Don't mistake this as a bad thing, it's very good. Also, watch for the urge to hold onto friendships that have passed their expiration date. This is especially the case if you are a people pleaser.
  6. Why make fun of them Leo? (Tier 1 behavior) Do you have an ounce of compassion for these people? Most are victims of a poor educational system.
  7. You cannot intellectually understand what God is, as it transcends intellect. Also, just because someone takes 5-Meo DMT, or any other psychedelic doesn't guarantee that they will grasp what it means to be God. Understanding what is God is very, very challenging. You have to sacrifice a lot to do it, and be willing to lose all comfort in your life and mind to pursue. Look in the mirror and ask yourself if you really want this. If you do, you'll naturally come to understand. If you don't (but act like you do), you are in for more bad than good. Take this journey seriously, and proceed with caution.
  8. You should not need spirituality to "solve" anything in your life. The egos primary motivation is to fix things so it can live comfortably. Avoid this way of thinking. Spirituality rids the need of solving anything essentially...this is the beautiful aspect of it.
  9. In your mind, what is the distinction between the two? How does the transition from self actualization to self transcendence look like? For those into Spiral Dynamics, I look at it as a Yellow to Turquoise transition.
  10. Sounds like you have thrown in the towel on your spiritual journey. Best to admit it honestly than to delude yourself
  11. Be careful not to use this saying as an excuse for avoiding spiritual work.
  12. Reality is infinite, there is no coming out of it. That's why it's imperative that you learn to love reality through your awakening. Else endless suffering will be the case.
  13. You gotta start slow. Trying to change too many things about yourself at once will backfire on you in a nasty way (ego backlash). Start by making VERY small changes. If you eat like shit 7 days a week, try 6 instead. This is just one example of building momentum. Also know that you will screw up your progress here and there. You need to be able to screw up, learn from it and move on. Beating yourself up is only a mechanism to stay the same and not change. Self compassion is important as well. Read: Self Compassion by Kristin Neff
  14. Look up some vids on YouTube from David Goggins...very good stuff about mental toughness. He also has a book called 'Can't Hurt Me'.
  15. At least you know where you messed up, but it doesn't warrant you beating yourself up. Look at it as a learning lesson, you the wisdom for your next interaction with a romantic interest.
  16. There are definitely levels of consciousness. Of course consciousness is always present, but your level of being conscious of consciousness can be low, high or in between.
  17. Paradox is you can't get to effortless consciousness without ... effort
  18. This is all you need in determining what to do. Don't let your friends and family guilt trip you into anything, most young adults have a herd mentality, and shack up/get married/have kids for validation from their social groups.
  19. Not all Christians are anti-abortion. In fact, not all anti-abortion folks are religious people per say. The discussion of abortion rights is a very complex issue..where you can find a wide range of opinions. Sucks for politicians who have to figure out how to satisfy everyone's ego...it's virtually impossible.
  20. For me, it's understanding the why instead of the what. Simply abstaining by force will lead to constant relapse, and more evidence for you to be less and less loving to yourself. One has to get a the motivations...9/10 it will be because there is love lacking in the person, 1/10 genetic reasons. The void will always need to be filled, we can decide what to fill it with. Self compassion is key.
  21. May want to move this to the Dating/Relationships/Sexuality section of the forum for more feedback. Either way, search for ‘How To Be a 3% Man’ by dating coach, Corey Wayne. He has great material on female attraction and runs a great YT channel on this very topic.
  22. Projection much? Maybe you are the low calibre one here.. Practice what you preach and introspect, no one likes a hypocrite. I will be reporting your post as it’s condescending, degrading, low consciousness and lacks humility.
