It sounds silly to the modern western mind that believes it is wise. Keep in mind that if the toad is not treated with sensitivity and thus is under stress it can eject other venoms into the medicine. -

Bufo Alvarius works for me. The toads are fully respected and asked permission to take the medicine. They are given a massage to relax them before extraction and then released. -

Plants can still outdo anything invented by man. People are comparing the synthetics to cultivated plants. But in wild nature there are thousands of varieties. For example, there are many different types of Ayahuasca in the Amazon. Servers have to go deep into the jungle to find “Black Ayahuasca” which comes from vines over 100 years old. Black Ayahuasca is several orders of magnitude more powerful than anything served in the Western retreats. Most of the plants in the jungles used by Shamen have never been heard of in the West. The Shaman I go to told me about plants that teach you lucid dreaming, plants that put in you in a delirium and make you forget your identity, and plants that paralyze you for two days and reset your bones. There is stuff out there that scientists have never dreamed of. -

Neo-Advaita seems to be a treasure trove of sound bites for scammers. Why not just assemble yourself a bag of chinese fortune cookies containg Neo-Advaita sound bites, and you will have yourself a low cost neo-advaita guru? No need to pay thousands of dollars. I hate to say that because I respect Hindu philosophy. But Western culture makes a mess of everything. -

I was taken to the cleaners once by a fake guru and it was a valuable lesson. I learned that I am 100 percent responsible for my own suffering and there is no “authority” out there that can save me. The fakes can only take people who are in the marketplace looking for someone to take them. If you are using the word “authority” and trying to figure out who is enlightened and who is not enlightened (a silly, meaningless task), then you are already on the hamster wheel running one’s little legs faster and faster to get to nowhere. -
These comments about men and women are just repeating "old wive's tales". When I was younger, most of my roomates were female. The tension is part of the fun. I know two lesbians who recently broke up, which puts me in an ackward position, since I still want to be friends with both of them. So, the “tension” also happens between women. The real issue is to learn how to get along with people. That's the real problem.

A long time ago, I e-mailed him after looking at his website and he sent me a link to schedule a session which, if I remember correctly, he was asking $125. I didn't do it. I since avoided his posts because of his use of empty platitudes. I am tired of fake and have found from hard experience that real teachers don’t charge that much.

The invasion theory was developed by the colonialist occupiers after they noticed that certain words in English and Sanskrit are similar. In other words, there was never any actual proof of any invasion. The concern of Indian politicians is understandable. In the past, the British Empire occupiers used “divide and conquer” as a technique for domination and control. In my opinion, it was a mistake to allow the Western scientists to collect data for their genetic history research – which is just another unproven western “science” pawning speculation as fact. -
"Heart of the Shamans was designed as a lovingly-crafter prayer, and sonic transport into the heart of the universe. A voyage through the energy centers of the body, this music supports ceremonial trance states of inner awakening. Weaving powerful medicine songs from the jungles of South America with instrumentation from around the world into a layered sonic tapestry, resonant with ancestral depths. Featuring a collaboration between Liquid Bloom founder and music producer Amani Friend with producer Rara Avis, ceremonial facilitator and vocalist Ixchel Prisma, shamanic healer Darma Friend, Native American Taos flute icon Robert Mirabal, vocalist Sarah West, and cellist Michael Kott."

The religion of the future is “animism” which was the religion of our ancestors. Monotheism is a relatively new invention, which is killing the planet. The monotheists were given dominion over the earth by a God in a dualistic framework, and the earth is viewed as “resources” to be exploited and consumed. Science and technology are the updated version of monotheism. Our ancestors saw the earth as living. The plants were living spirits. The animals were our brothers. The rocks, plants, and animals were respected and shared, without exploitation. We are part of nature. If we don’t return to the old beliefs, our civilization will end. -
I have one suggestion. Don’t allow anyone the privilege to start their own thread until they have 100 posts. The more pointless threads with silly questions tend to be started by new posters.

I don’t believe it is possible to awaken by feeding information to the entertainment-seeking intellectual mind, which will always makes a mess of it. There needs to be a path. -
Ever since I have been taking entheogen medicines, I have been having hard to explain synchronicities that occur before and after ceremonies. I will give one example of what they are like. One night, I went to see the movie “Gunda”. It was a movie about a pig and gave a pig’s eye view of the life cycle on a farm. When I was returning from the movie, I went to my mailbox and opened it to get the day’s mail. In the mailbox was a giant envelope, and on the face of the envelope there was a picture of a pig. The envelope wasn’t even addressed to me. It was put in my mailbox by mistake. It was from some animal rights organization. Nothing close to this has ever happened to me before or since and was the first time I have received someone else’s mail. It’s hard to explain this by confirmation bias. I have had other strange synchronicities which are hard to explain by coincidence or confirmation bias. Our minds connect with the universe and we have the ability to become more sensitive to the connections. https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/awards/story/2021-01-04/gunda-documentary-pig-farm-animal-rights

Lyrics: Machi machi machi – ma Machi machi machi – ma Machi cura Machi sana Machi cántame una nana Machi machi machi – ma Machi machi machi – ma Yo no lloro Yo sólo canto Con tu encanta Pacha Mama Madre Tierra Translation: Machi is curing Machi is healing Machi sings me a lullaby I do not cry I just sing with your love Pacha Mama Mother Earth This song speaks of healing power and medicine of Woman, the Moon and the Earth Herself. “Machi” is a word that comes from the Mapuche people of Chile and Argentina. A Machi is a medicine woman and sometimes also refers to a medicine man. https://progressivechristianity.org/resources/peia-machi-from-four-great-winds/

That's for a ceremony which starts at 8 pm Saturday and ends Sunday morning. Everyone brings a sleeping bag and sleeps on the floor. The ceremony can be in someone's home, a studio, or outside on the grass. It doesn't have to be expensive. In America, the organizers are capitalists motivated by profits, not healing or spirituality. -

That’s why I stay in Mexico. I would never do a retreat at a center owned by Americans. Americans are just interested in maximizing profit through mass marketing techniques. They make everything extremely expensive and healing is not a priority. My last Aya retreat cost $100. -
I don’t think there is going to be a civil war with bullets. There are more effective means. The trucker’s strike in Canada is paralyzing their country. Imagine if all the truckers in the US just decided to park in the middle of the street. The country wouldn’t survive for more than a week, thanks to globalism and just-in-time inventory control.

To assess the value of war, you need look no further than the Vietnam war. The total number of deaths from 1965-1974 has been estimated at 1,353,000. But what did that achieve? The US now trades with Vietnam, and could have done that from the very beginning, except for a faulty theory believed by circles which ran US foreign policy. Do you realize that thanks to media propaganda, Americans use to look at Vietnam the way people now look at Covid 19 or terrorists. It was a big scary country that kept you awake at night. Vietnam was a threat to your survival. Unfortunately, the same cycle of war repeats itself, over and over, i.e Iraq, Afghanistan. You can expect more wars in the near future, because we are ruled by apes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vietnam_War_casualties#Total_number_of_deaths
