  1. Yup. You have to learn to accept who you are right now. Have gratitude and curiosity for the present moment and immerse yourself in it.
  2. You are spot on here. That is the right approach. There is a reason your ego is there. Your ego is there to help you. For eg. Things like procrastination could be part of your ego trying to block out some underlying feeling that is very painful to you (worthlessness). Or the pursuit of making money is your ego trying to make sure you survive. The ego is always trying to help you. But sometimes it does so in very myopic ways. For eg: You may be a very angry person. You think it's harming you. But from your ego's point of view, that angry part may be trying to prevent you from getting hurt by other people. The more you understand your ego's motivations- and stop trying to deny or suppress it- and understand it in a loving way more - the more you will integrate and transcend the ego.
  3. I don't think it's similar to Leo's content. It seems the channel focuses mainly on manifestation (like a billion other channels out there). Leo's work is really unique and has content that I haven't seen anywhere.
  4. I'm currently trying to balance both achieving my goals as well as being happy with where I am now. I tend to get very anal about achieving my goals and I end up feeling like I'm climbing a never-ending hill. I believe the solution is to be grateful for what you have in life. Try to find play in the work you do as well as accept and love your current state.
  5. I think you should do what is most important to you at the moment. I learned this the hard way by trying to focus too much on spirituality before getting my material needs met. As @JosephKnecht said, take look at Maslow's hierarchy and Spiral dynamics. Try to sort out your relationships, finance, career. You don't stay young for very long and these things are best sorted the younger you are. Exhausting and fulfilling these drives will naturally allow you to go towards the spiritual path more fully and completely. Does that mean you don't do spirituality at all? Absolutely not! I would say use stuff like meditation, therapy, yoga, visualizations to put you in the right state of mind to accomplish your goals. Also to keep you sane(and dare I say joyful) while life throws shit at you. I'd say keep the enlightenment bit and hardcore monk mode for much later - when your mind doesn't distract you with women and money and fame as you have already (hopefully) satisfied those needs.
  6. @Eren Eeager I think Prayer and LOA(Law of Attraction) are the same things with different names. I haven't dabbled with them long enough to completely believe it or give you a surefire answer. Although, there is a lot of literature out there suggesting that healing is possible. Our karma determines if healing is possible or not, or so say these texts. If people haven't learned an important lesson they came into this life for, they are less likely to be healed as their soul needs to learn this lesson first. I guess the only way is to try and see the truth for yourself. I plan to get into LOA soon to verify it for myself.
  7. T bel I think dopamine addictions have multiple factors. But the fundamental root of addiction is generally trauma. Having trauma in your body makes you feel icky and uncomfortable inside. To get away from the unpleasantness of trauma, people try to fill their time with things that give them pleasure - food, sex, TV etc. This is what causes dopamine addiction fundamentally - needing that pleasure stimulus to get over the pain your body is in. Keep in mind trauma doesn't have to be major like rape or abuse. Your friend being mean to you all of a sudden could be a form of micro-trauma. Micro-traumas happen every day. I'm not sure if you have noticed, but on days that you feel happy and light, you are less likely to resort to unhealthy addictions like junk food, masturbation etc.
  8. I think the main reason self-help books aren't helpful to most people is due to subconscious resistance. Let me illustrate this point: If you grew up very shy and awkward for most of your life, and your core inner belief suggests you are worthless - no amount of self-help will remove feelings of worthlessness. You can build an alter ego of a person who is confident but the initial trauma/belief that you are worthless still remains. Changing your behaviors and mindsets in a healthy way ideally involves being aware and letting go of subconscious beliefs and feelings - while simultaneously embodying new perspectives and behaviors. Sometimes by just letting go of the trauma, your brain can come up with the right beliefs/perspectives. An additional point to consider is - behavior change is slower in general, however, the right perspective without the mental baggage weighing you down is immensely helpful.
  9. I believe both healing and financial freedom should be done simultaneously. Healing takes time. If all you do is heal and if you're heavily traumatized-healing could take a couple of years. And it won't help if you're broke. Having less money would probably add to your mental strain. However, if you only chase success and financial freedom, you'd be left feeling empty. They say money can't by you happiness. But I say, while the phrase is true-money can buy you a therapist and that can lead to happiness.
  10. I am a big fan of Leo's and I think his work has given me a lot of great perspectives in life. However, his recent videos have me very confused about the nature of reality because it seems so far off that I can't relate to it. At times with Leo's latest perspectives, I find my self in a state of delusion about the ways things are because I think things like 'Oh everything is one' or 'nothing exists and people and objects are all an illusions' etc. But it creates cognitive conflict with my direct experience and I find it very hard to see reality clearly. I feel lost in my own thoughts about how things 'should' be rather than what they are. But the following video by AH Almaas completely explains Leo's view and any spiritual viewpoint for that matter. It doesn't negate my view of duality nor does it negate any other spiritual view. All views are real and valid. This video helped remove a lot of the confusion for me and I highly recommend it by those who are getting confused by Leo's recent videos.
