  1. Absolutely. Forgetfulness is the egos favourite defence mechanism. https://www.actualized.org/articles/understanding-ego-backlash
  2. Throughout his meditations, Marcus references life and death as if they are indifferent from each other. He explains how when one reaches their death, they are returned ''into that which gave you birth: or rather, you will be changed, taken up into the generative principle of the universe''. There are countless other references to awareness / consciousness he leaves. The more I read of him, the more I get the idea that he isn't referring to the well known Roman Gods, but the god that dwells within. For someone who lived 2000 years ago in Rome, he had a pretty good idea about the nature of the universe. I find this particularly odd... Have any of you noticed this while reading Meditations? Any further info would be appreciated!
  3. Bumping this with yet another intriguing quote by Marcus: "Think always of the universe as one living creature, compromising one substance and one soul: how all is absorbed into this one consciousness; how a single impulse governs all its actions; how all things collaborate in all that happens; the very web and mesh of it all." - Meditations, 4.40

  9. I assume it would be blasphemy to ask for the name of the book... @electroBeam That's an interesting one. Definitely would help with shadow work. @Javfly33 I probably won't bother since it isn't in english, thanks for the offer though
  10. See a therapist. There is always an underlying issue.
  11. That isn't an awakening, you just labelled it as that. That is a glimpse. Open your mind to something that is beyond mind and words and even conceptual ideas. ( I'm not enlightened but this kind of thinking is getting me closer )
  12. Out of love! Try to stop others from suffering, but do not get too caught up in the morality of it. Understand why it happens in the bigger picture. That is stage yellow thinking.
  13. Yeah of course, wouldn't want my grandma getting ill. Or anyone else. Hypothetical anyways, there is no vaccine
  14. I will follow that cause !
  15. Nope. I would rather catch it and become immune
  16. Just keep trying to quit. Don't beat yourself up. The more you give in, the more addicted you get. If you distract yourself with something productive and overcome the urge, in the moment it wont feel good, but the next day you will feel good about yourself.
  17. Press F to pay respects
  18. He will come back more integrated and radical than ever
  19. You stopped a good thing! Understandable though, the opportunity will reveal itself again
