It sounds like some sort of automatic unconscious response from your body is preventing you from peeing while you sleep, and your dream world is just conveying that to you. Similar to how you don't conceptualize moving your finger away from a burning hot stove, maybe your body is unconsciously holding piss in the same way, without any conscious input from you. I imagine this could only be achieved if you became really obsessed with not pissing yourself again during the waking state, to the point where now it is part of a subconscious response. Like, someone might have a dream where their mom is shouting at them to wake up for school, and then you wake up and she is actually shouting at you to wake up for school. You don't intellectually know your mom is shouting at you during the dream, but your body and auditory senses know. Your body might be doing the same thing, holding in piss, then that gets converted into the dream world.

Yes, that's called psychosomatic illness, an illness where the body and mind are connected. Being stressed mentally can produce a tangible and physical cortisol response which will produce noticeable physical symptoms.

mostly fat, then protein. Some carbs are fine, try eating carbs that come with fiber, like blueberries, carbs from whole foods basically If you eat something like an avocado, you won't feel any decline in energy levels or a feeling of heaviness in your body. There are some meals you can eat and you'll still feel like you can run a marathon after eating them. Just pay attention to how your body feels. Salmon is great too. Maybe salmon, avocado, and some greens might be the move. Careful with greens though, you probably wanna cook them, if you eat them raw they can have oxalates which cause digestive problems, the oxalates get reduced when you cook them. Could be an insulin response messing with blood sugar levels, either too high or too low. Blood sugar can control energy levels like that. Or maybe, for whatever reason, the food isn't being digested properly. You can try paying attention to foods that do and don't make you feel this way, maybe pay attention to the nutritional profile and look for patterns regarding that.

A word is a pointer to something, like a finger that points to the moon. The word "moon" points to the object "moon". When you point to something, you by default separate that one thing from everything else, thus creating a duality. -

I think it's really interesting how, experientially, there is no difference between a reality where solipsism is "true" and a reality where solipsism is "untrue". The only difference is that in one of them you imagine others to have some other existence, and in another you imagine that they don't. The difference is always just what you imagine, it can never come down to anything else. Almost like this idea of "me" and "other" is imaginary or something. Also, remember, imagination isn't less or more real than any other thing, that's just a hierarchy you're projecting. Your table and your imagination of an apple are equally real. There's nothing that is less real than something else. -

How is your sleeping pattern or sleep quality? Have you been under lots of stress recently? These are big factors -
idk for sure if I got covid or not, but I think its likely I did considering the symptoms. After I recovered from being sick I had an altered sense of smell/taste. Anything that had vinegar in it had a really awful bleach/chlorine taste to it. I also had clogged up ears for a bit, the pressure in there felt as if I had just come off an airplane. I only noticed these symptoms after I started to recover. First time I've experienced such symptoms from being sick. Is it painful or is it just phlegm build up? I think phlegm build up is common for a while after being sick

I have experienced something similar. When I get too stressed I get this weird depressive feeling, It's like a general feeling of lingering anxiety. Might be related to cortisol, I don't know for sure. Eating carbs helps but its an unsustainable solution. Getting enough sleep can definitely help, sleep deprivation is very taxing on the body.

Lol how does this fix the problem

All I will say is that Nahm has helped me the most on this forum. Lots of people here criticizing someone/something they apparently don't understand, which leads to strawmans

intermittent fasting, this will make you keto/fat adapted and thus eliminate or severely reduce food cravings. It's not about food cravings, its about changing your physiology so that you don't have any cravings to fight against in the first place

I have, quite literally, caught my self in the process of dreaming, or entering into a dream. Really, a dream is just a thought or imagination that is extremely immersive, to the point where you start entering into it and identifying with it. Maybe this becomes easier to do during sleep, since you drift off and lose your normal bodily senses that you so often identify with. I have noticed similarities between the imaginations and thoughts we project onto waking reality, and the process of dreaming. They both are things we imagine and identify with. Maybe you could even argue it is the exact same process, just to different degrees. -
I had a similar thing happen once, you just gotta own it. I think this type of hurdle is something that will continuously pop up in life until you fully embrace yourself and your personality, without feeling shame or whatever. Also, in a way, it can weed out people you don't want in your life. What's the worst that can happen? If there is some adverse reaction from them, then so be it. Think of it as the universe's way of filtering out what doesn't fit into your life. Don't take it so seriously, everyone has their demons, their private things they keep secret, they just do a better job of hiding it.

It might help to treat it as "voice acting" or as if you're playing some overly enthusiastic character, like a more extroverted version of yourself. And then slowly you can mold yourself into that as social situations arise. Project your voice, don't be timid, act like you're on a radio show being a radio host, and the entire world can hear your voice. It also helps to talk about things you are passionate about, it naturally makes your voice stronger and more powerful, pay attention to that.

How is the room you sleep in? For me, having white noise like a fan helps significantly. Also, make sure the room is dark and cool, its better to have a cool room than a warm room. Avoid caffeine/stimulants and blue light, you can download a blue light filter if you want. And try not to force yourself to sleep. Also, maybe get in the habit of turning off most lights around you as the sunlight goes down. In a sense, you want the levels of light to match outside as much as possible. This helps a lot IME, probably something to do with melatonin stimulation. Exercise is good but don't do it too close to bed time

That's a pretty cool nuance, didn't know that

How recently did you quit weed? I believe medically this is referred to as PAWS (Post-Acute Withdrawal Syndrome) and lack of libido is a common symptom.

I've had a phase where I got weird gore dreams as well. Didn't watch any gorey media in that time period either, so it wasnt something my subconscious picked up from some movie irl or something. One of them involved a guy jumping from a tree and then his body just splitting in half with blood and what not, strangely my dream character wasn't really disturbed by any of it. Still have no idea what it meant but it creeped me out for a bit, especially cause I woke up from it at like 3am in the pitch black and I was just left there to contemplate that dream in a pitch black room haha -
Well, it's the only book mentioned, so I would assume so Maybe
