  1. Do you consider Matt Khan to be a good quality teacher? He seems a bit mainstream, going on magazine covers and all.
  2. Greetings. I ask you all this question because I come from a rather angry family. I have parents who will seem to shout, insult, curse when even a slight inconvenience is presented to them. I do recall Leo talk about ascetics, and how ascetics will intentionally make themselves suffer to “purify” themselves. Is that what is going on with angry people? Are they just “impure”? Those who attain high consciousness states, do you ever get angry?

  4. The solution here is obvious, get some really high quality photos of yourself and set up a tinder profile. Write explicitly in your bio that you're just looking for casual hookups and not a serious relationship.
  5. He's got my vote, f*** the two party system. I'm sick of voting for lying corporate candidate #1 vs #2.

  7. I’m asking about the 100 hour work week because I’m wondering if the trajectory of my life. Short term, if I want to build something, is it okay for me to work extra long in a controlled period of time?
  8. Why is it that there are so many billionaires like Elon Musk and Gary Vee promote this lifestyle, why is it that they are seemingly able to do it?

  10. This whole list sounds rather traditionalist
  11. I do need to put my input here. It's not ''indoctrinating children'', as much as it is about educating children. Introducing education of the LGBT community into public schools is not about brainwashing children to be gay because that's impossible, you cannot groom people into being gay just as how you cannot use conversion therapy to make people straight. The reason why this education exists is to provide children with the resources to understand if these feelings arise within themselves. As well as how to make sense of how some of their classmate might have two moms/dads. https://actualized.org/insights/gay-grooming-nonsense

  13. Marriage and family itself is neurotic and out of date.
  14. I swear to you all that this is not clickbait, here is the official CNN story on the matter: https://www.cnn.com/2023/05/31/politics/mike-pence-announcement-2024/index.html
  15. Suicidal thoughts are ''silly nonsense''? Really? Pls elaborate because I'm curious. I have struggled with these desires for a while and I'm wondering what causes them? Like, is it a trick of the ego? self-deception? Based in falsehood as death is an illusion?
  16. In strict Political Science terminology, this is correct as American Conservatism is a form of Liberalism. Otherwise known as, classical Liberalism. The authors of the American Constitution and Declaration of Independence drew their philosophy from early Liberal thinkers.
  17. Alriiiiiiiiggghhtt... Is someone with this so called ''higher intelligence'' still susceptible to smoking? I know Alan Watts was a cigarette user. Would you ever date a smoker?
  18. Greetings. I finished the life purpose course and now I want to move on and actualize it. I want to start an online business. I asked a friend which programming language I should do for such a thing, and he said JavaScript. Is he correct?
  19. @Leo Gura Are people who smoke inherently less intelligent? What about less conscious? I personally know a smoker who does technical laboratory work. I remember reading an account of Paramahansa Yogananda talking to a disciple. They were talking about if this student was going to be a student of Yogananda, under what conditions? May he drink alcohol? Smoke? Enjoy the opposite sex promiscuously? Yes, Yogananda said. But if he still wants to do these things after raising his consciousness, that he cannot guarantee.
  20. I see the Poké Bowl trend is catching up to the mainstream. Fun fact, working at a Poké restaurant was actually my first every job. I got the job at age 17 because I was saving up to study abroad in Japan. I was hired by these two Chinese immigrants who were husband and wife, and both owned the store. While the study abroad never materialized because the study abroad company never called me back due to the website I was applying to at the time having technical issues and they never received my application, I ended up earning some $2,000 from working there. To this day I'll go to that same restaurant frequently, and because the owners know me they'll give me free drinks.
  21. @Leo Gura So was Siddhartha Gautama himself not an awakened being?
