@Leo Gura You seem to be arguing from a point of geographical determinism, which is a limiting POV. Watch this video: -
Does this as well apply to Universities, where the top of the line University is supposedly better than your local public research university? I ask this because I'm deeply insecure about the rank and status of my school.

As well legacies of foreign intervention, invasions, imperialism, and modern day value extraction (neo-colonialism, neo-imperialism, sweatshop labor, etc...). -

Why not? Isn't it a good thing that so many students are taking it up on themselves to protest an injustice? I'm personally resentful that I attend a small local commuter school and I can't join, but is that really a good thing for me. -
Really? Is this correct of all fancy and luxurious brands? So brands that are selling luxurious premium top of the line cigars, or lets say, alcohol or clothes, is it all bullshit? What about wristwatches and cars?

Preety was banned? Damn. I've been on this forum since high school and she was always one of the most consistent posters. I wondered where she went. -
Hi everyone! So recently I downloaded this app on my iPhone called ‘Clear Space: Reduce Screen Time’. The reason why is that ever since high school, I’ve always had an issue with compulsively using my iPhone in bed, watching videos when I know I have to wake up early. Almost every day in High School, I would wake up super groggy and tired, because I had spent the prior night watching YouTube on my phone late into the night. I would each day tell myself “never again”, and “no more”. Only to repeat the action the following night. During High School, I was also behind on my assignments and doing everything last minute. That was because when I would get home, I would feel this compulsive urge to either play computer games or watch YouTube. I might begin working, but the urge would overwhelm me, and I would give in. Then, I would not begin working on my assignments until late until the evening, late into the night. Waking up tired and groggy almost every day also meant I was frequently late to school, often skipping breakfast. Just a week ago, I was up on my phone at 2:00am watching YouTube shorts, and that’s when I’ve realized: enough . I blocked out YouTube with the clear space app, and I blocked out distracting websites on my Computer with a downloadable program called ‘Cold Turkey’. The results are good, as this is the first week of my life since Middle School I have not watched a single YouTube video. But the cravings and compulsive urges are definitely there. I have opened the YouTube app on my phone, and tried to open it on my computer, numerous times this day alone, only to be told by my blocking apps that I blocked these websites. It’s not just YouTube. I’m also feeling a compulsive and strong urge to consume sugar. I’m trying to cancel sugar, but the cravings are really strong.

First Putin, and now this? Usually when hosts get cancelled from major networks, its their downfall in relevancy. But not him. -
Immediately thought of HealthyGamerGG.

Can confirm. When I was 18 I went on a family road trip to East coast states and I forgot my phone. It was just two weeks of walking in nature and various national park. I felt so rejuvenated when I got back home.

Does this still affect you tangibly? Culturally or the way you live your life? -
I can definitely empathize with you. I'm of Lebanese descent, and so I have a lot of religious fundamentalism in my family. I also go to a College with a heavy Muslim population, and they are certainly insufferable. I try to have my own worldview, but it seems that Muslims are the only group that have no issue not respecting sensitivities and differences, and will have no problem telling that your, or other religions views, are just incorrect that their religion from their specific sect is the only correct view. They have no issue with saying that the other religions are going to burn in hell. Muslims as well seem to be the only group which refuses to self-reflect and find flaws in their culture and worldview. I think Israel-Palestine is the best example for this, as they seek to destroy the only well functioning democracy in the middle east, while the other Arab countries are no where near as successful as Israel.

In my personal no-YouTube rule. I actually do make an exception for Actualized.org. But the rule is that I can only watch it through the main website, or by listening to the podcasts. Because the episodes are so long, I don’t have an issue with compulsively watching it for short term and quick pleasure.

As much as I oppose the death penalty, its great to see a Socialist country still upholding socialist/proletarian values and holding the rich accountable for there crimes. Whereas in Capitalist America we elect such people as President at most, or at least just excuse them for their crimes. -

Which is really sad because such a leader could be really competent and smart. But the primitive monkey brained mouth breathing audience only understands strength and power, that's what they respect.
