This place is the only good social media, as it is about self-improvement and spirituality. The amount of brilliant insights I've received from this forum alone is tremendous.

Very good, I did the same thing. I used to have an Instagram account until I noticed myself compulsively using it. Social media is the new nicotine.

I mean, you ask me to connect the dots, but the more I do so, the more I'm inclined to vote third party. I'm basically on the brink of voting third party, due to the Biden administration's inaction on the Gaza issue. Since October 7, 2023, the U.S.A. has appropriated $17.9 billion dollars to Israel, has blocked U.N. votes condemning Israel, etc... "I will not put any conditions on Israel" - Kamala Harris Edit: Before anyone accuses me for risking a Trump victory… I don’t live in a swing state, I live in solidly blue Maryland. -

Before OP deleted the link, I managed to ask Leo AI a question Me: Dear Leo, will studying Physics lead me to the truth?

"Goon", by the way, is a euphemism for masturbation. A "gooner" is someone who masturbates, and a"goon cave" is the room where they masturbate in.

I think these videos perfectly complement Leo’s blog post on Ana Kasparian leaving the Left. https://x.com/stillgray/status/1845353519865360700 Twitter link above won’t embed, but it’s also important. If any mods would like to edit my post to embed the link above, and delete this block of text, feel free to do so.

But those voting for a third party candidate are not voting for Trump, they’re voting for a third party candidate. -

Sincere question. A lot of people are disillusioned with the current two options. A lot of people are voting third party solely because of the Gaza issue, since the Biden administration has appropriated $17.9 billion dollars to Israel since October 7, 2023. Sure, there are other reasons people might vote for, lets say, the Green Party, but Gaza seems to be the biggest reason. What do you have to say to those people, who are considering voting third party. -

This is precisely the type of crap which gets people to vote third party, and I don't blame them. And yet the blame is placed on the third party voter and not the establishment Democrats. -

One of the reasons in which I wanted to purse Physics was because I wanted to understand "truth". I for the longest time had been interested in Philosophy, even back in Middle School I would enjoy reading books from various philosophers, and even on my own read 'On the Origin of Species'. I got the idea to pursue Physics from Elon Musk, because there was an interview of him saying that he pursued Physics because he was always interested in truth. And that became my mission. To become a Physics researcher, and get to the bottom of reality and metaphysics. But now due to my academic situation, that's no longer viable. I could become a business person, but I don't want the focus of my life to simply be to enrich myself, make more money. That seems hollow, I wanted my life to be on the pursuit of truth. Which is precisely why I chose Physics, to get to the bottom of reality. Question: How will I ever get to the bottom of reality without a P.h.D. in Physics and tenured at a prestigious University? Edit: By ‘truth’ I mean getting to the metaphysical bottom of reality.

So a while ago, my ability to privately message people on this forum was restored. If you've been following the drama, you would know that I've been going through a crisis recently, trying to find my life purpose, and changing majors. So when my ability to privately message people was restored, here is what I saw. Why this is significant to me only makes sense if you read the threads linked above for context. The following are private messages sent to Leo in 2020, when I hadn't even enrolled in University yet, deciding what I wanted to do with my life.

I keep hearing this theory, even from people such as Bhagwan Rajneesh, Sadghuru, and Parahamahansa Yogananda. But there is no archaeological evidence that Jesus ever went to Tibet, India, or the like. There is however evidence that Jesus traveled to the land of Israel, Lebanon, and Egypt. -
No, unless I smoke too much in one sitting. But even that, I was developing tolerance to more and more nicotine, and I could smoke more cigarettes without developing a gag reflex.

Its just the soothing relaxing feeling that is induced from smoking a cigarette. Sometimes I would cease smoking for a while to diminish my tolerance so that the calming effect would be stronger. Its like a calming morphine, and it makes me feel the same calmed and soothed way as if I had just meditated for two hours straight, but like instead of two hours its an instant dosage of the same feeling

Update: currently on day two of no smoking. My final pack was a 20 cigarette pack of Winston Red's. Normally I prefer Marlboro, because its the smoothest and the menthol variety tastes the cleanest, unlike Newports where the menthol has a kind of dirty taste. But I wanted to try something new, and I never had Winstons before. So its currently day two of quitting smoking. The cravings are definitely there, and my whole body is screaming for nicotine. I'm trying to apply mindfulness to my cravings, and it is working to some extent. But I keep fantasizing about taking a nice long drag of a cigarette, and really feeling the nicotine buzz.

For those wondering the origin of what OP is railing against, where it started:
