Do you guys recommend Cannabis as a good psychedelic substance to try out? Just how effective is cannabis for Consciousness work? -

Yes of course, but the mind lives as if it’s separate and disconnected. Yeah but you aren’t always aware watching things. Notice that right now that breathing is happening and that you weren’t aware of it until I said so now. Notice the sensations on your feet. It is likely that you aren’t aware of any of these things for most of the day. How can you be a watcher always if you are not always watching? Sounds more like you are the reactor most of the day. Not always being in the here and now. How often are you carried away by your thoughts? Meditation is about noticing that. How often are you actually watching yourself being carried away by past and future? You most likely do this habitually. No. You live now, but you are not always observing now. You tune the Now out most of the time. Are you telling me that you are aware of every car passing by, every bird chirp, every tree, every breath, every sensation, and you are also aware of watching it and being the watcher? It’s likely that you do many things habitually and automatically. Look up the term habituate. Notice that that is the curse of being an adult. No. There is no such thing as a distraction if you are actually meditating because you notice the thought and let it pass. It is YOU who is being disturbed, not meditation itself. The Now just is and is never disturbed. When you lose connection to the Now, that is being disturbed. Stop thinking of meditation as a technique and see it as a way to connect with God. I’m not sure if this makes sense, but the only way to realize this is to actually sit down and BE with Now. Whenever a thought arises, you watch it. If the thought distracts you, you are no longer being with what is. That’s pretty much it. You are either fully immersed and acceptant of what is, or you aren’t. I am meditating right now as I type this message very slowly. I am fully present into every key that I am typing and every movement of my fingers, my breath, sensations and I am watching my mind, emotions, etc. You can either live consciously or unconsciously. -

Nice! Yeah I love running. Not really. You aren’t aware of how you shine the sun or how you work your immune system or breathe. Observing gets you closest to the meditative state. Lol. When you exit meditation, it won’t be disturbed because you are no longer meditating. How can you be disturbed while meditating if you aren’t meditating? Meditation is all about noticing your mind and it’s tendencies to distract you. When someone talks to you, you use talking as an object of meditation. Meditation is just being in the Now. If you are lost in thought, you aren’t meditating. Meditation is noticing distraction and disruptions, but being unaffected by them. You are like a tree that withstands the storm. Correct. Meditation is all about being and observing the Now. That’s it. It is when you become ONE with all that is happening. You become ONE with Consciousness itself. When your monkey mind takes over, you are lost in your mind and out of touch with what is happening. You are the watcher. Notice that when you become the watcher and are able to watch all that arises and goes, your mind is completely still, calm, and undisturbed. Even if someone is yelling at you, you watch it nonjudgmentally and be like a tree. That’s it. Meditation is actuality and everything else that you think about meditation is concept and imagination. All definitions that you place upon reality are what limit it. Look at your hand and observe it and BE with it without thoughts, labels or distinctions. You realize that there is no hand and all there is, is Pure Being. That’s it. -
r0ckyreed replied to r0ckyreed's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Not necessarily. If you are disturbed in your “meditation” then you aren’t meditating. If you hear a loud bang or someone coughing, that should not disturb you if you are meditating. If it does disturb you, then you are not meditating because if you are observe nonjudgmentally, you notice things as they arise and pass away. If you notice your mind being disturbed while being detached, nonjudgmentally, then you ARE meditating. When you act and behave mindlessly, then that is when you “exit” meditation and this is how you live 99% of the time. Meditation is using the 1% in which you are aware and fully being in this Now. Consciousness itself cannot be disturbed. Consciousness is the space in which everything appears. You can either be present with Consciousness or you can be absent from life. Most people live in concepts. Meditation is living is actuality. Awareness cannot be disturbed. -
r0ckyreed replied to r0ckyreed's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Precisely! You don’t need to sit to meditate. If you are in Actuality, you are meditating. You can do traditional sitting meditation or you can meditate while you run. Osho explains it perfectly when he says that concentration is not meditation because concentration can be disturbed, but meditation cannot. Meditation is becoming the watcher. That’s it. If you are fully present right now, conscious without judgment then you are meditating. When you are arguing with someone, you can meditate by observing your emotions nonjudgmentally and then let them go. Don’t think that there is formal meditation and then the rest of the world. That’s duality. Integrating meditation with everything you do is key. -

That’s what I was trying to get at. “Qualified” is a credibility that you are projecting onto others. Qualified is an illusion. Who is more qualified at understanding consciousness than you? Sadhguru is talking about his experiences and nobody is more qualified on Sadhgurus experience than Sadhguru. Watch Leo’s video called Authority. Thanks for sharing your experience. I guess psychedelics may help expand the mind, but I would really like to raise my state from myself rather than from a plant. But I will consider your experience and maybe use psychedelics as a method in the future. I am basically using Iron Mans Logic when he tells Spider-Man “if you are nothing without the suit, then it doesn’t belong to you.” I will try to keep my mind open though. Thank you! So I guess I will keep practicing meditation and then once I feel like I am ready, I may explore psychedelics. That’s a good point. Meditation to me is as simple as listening to God. All meditation is, is just being aligned with the Eternal Now. It is being in Actuality. If meditation isn’t in actuality, it’s not meditating. -

Meditation isn’t an escape Lol! Everything else that you do is an escape! Meditation is purely BEING in this MOMENT. This is backwards. Meditation isn’t about changing your experience. It is about accepting what already is. If you think it’s different, you are not meditating. -

Not if we all wear masks and SD. If we did that for 3 weeks, Covid would be gone. Those Right wing Trumpvid-20s are the ones running around with no mask and no regard for other humans. These guys put economy over human lives. Pro-life my ass! Lol! ? -
r0ckyreed replied to Mvrs's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
This is correct. Follow this advice. Your getting too lost in concept. Notice that you and she are concepts and this is the duality you are creating. Notice that all there is, is Consciousness. Any words, concepts, ideas about Consciousness take place within Consciousness. Therefore, you can never define Consciousness because it is beyond words. Trying to rationalize and conceptually understand Consciousness will not get you that understanding. Rationality and any mind stuff you are thinking is ego. When you can just BE with What Is, that is Actuality. -
r0ckyreed replied to Mvrs's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
You are imagining the I that you think exists and you are imagining her imagination of your imagination of you not being there. Notice that you are never away. Actuality is always here. There are no minds in Direct Experience. Minds are imagination. -

I stopped critiquing after your second amendment Thing. Holy cow! This is too ideological man. You can’t say that everything against Trump is fake news. Do you realize what Trump means by fake news? It means that any coverage that goes against him or portrays him in a negative way is false. God dam man. Do you also believe that Obama started 9/11? (It’s a joke. He didn’t). If you did not get that joke. It means you haven’t watched the full video I posted above. Please watch it. Your ego has all of these defense mechanisms that you aren’t even aware of. Please open your mind to the possibility that everything you believe is wrong. If you can’t do that, then why are you on the forums? I wish you to find the Truth for yourself. please watch Leo’s Self-bias video. i don’t know why my post got duplicated. Sorry. I beg you to please THINK before you vote. Have a great day! ❤️??? -

Realize that all of this happened under Trump. And what did Trump do? “There are fine people on both sides!” He told the White supremacists to “stand back and standby.” Please read this entire critique with an open mind. The intent of this communication is not to attack and offend you, but to show you ways where your ego is taking over and to show you different possibilities of being a more conscious spiritual being than you are now. Please read critically and THINK critically about my critique. This is a critique from above not below. More like freedom of ignorance, hate speech and misinformation. Come on man! It is Trump and Republicans who are using “free” speech to divide this country. There should be regulations on speech otherwise you have fools like Trump infecting people with his Trumpvirus. All the conversations I ever have with conservatives are some of the low consciousness conversations. They spread fake news all over such as claiming “Biden is a pedo” Qanon and all of these conspiracies are Right wing. Hmm. I wonder why. Look at all of Trump’s Devilry. He is stage Red on spiral! How else do you think stage Green is going to react to the low consciousness that Trump is bringing? Everything Trump does and says has impacted and even killed many Americans, especially during Covid. Just imagine what this Covid situation would be like if Hillary were in office now. If you have an open mind, you can acknowledge that she would have taken it so much more seriously. Problem is that most Trump supporters are out of touch with reality. Here is a perfect example: This is the tu quo que fallacy! Or the You Too Fallacy! Come on man! What has Biden lies about that led to deportation of Muslim families, separation of Mexican families, increased riots and political division, race relations, school shootings, Downplaying Covid! Etc. etc. do you really think that Biden’s lies = Trump’s lies? Do you really think that Biden would downplay Covid like Trump did? Come on man. Lol. You actually can blame Trump on Covid. He doesn’t wear a mask, he holds Trump rallies, doesn’t encourage people to wear masks, spreads Covid bullshit misinformation everywhere, he discredits scientists who are working hard, and if you were watching the news, he admitted to downplaying Covid!! Even after getting Covid and recovering (due to his status and privileged treatment) he still downplays it man! There is no evidence that the economy before Covid came because of Trump. How do you know he didn’t inherit it from Obama era? Economy is great and Trump takes credit. Probably not, but he has started a Civil War and divide. Obama didn’t even start WW III. Trump almost started another war with the assassination of Pakistan general man. What about all the missiles in Syria? All that $$ on that could have been spent on education and higher consciousness. But that was all about proving Trump America had a bigger di*k than other countries. How often have you been attacked in your life by someone else with a gun? Where is this fear coming from? If you look at the highest conscious spiritual leaders that have ever existed, name me one of them that had a gun and thought we needed more of them. Look up the weapons effect. It is the psychological idea that the mere presence of a weapon creates a more fearful, violent, and anxious environment. You realize that more guns does not equal safety right? If you gave everyone guns, you would have a lot of accidents and a lot of people who don’t know how to use them. Think about that. Studies show that more gun control decreases crime. Notice that the Las Vegas school shooter bought several guns at a store with no question (check my facts on this please). How do you think the black market exists? Lower gun regulations! Every Trump supporter always cites Chicago as a perfect example of why gun control is bullshit. But actually do research on this. The research told me that gun violence is high in Chicago not because of high gun control, but because of the lack of gun control in nearby cities and states. People go to other places with lax gun laws and buy their guns there. Think about this: I am in Oklahoma and all I have to do to get a gun is go into a pawn shop, show them my drivers license and then I can buy a gun for a few hundred bucks. That means a person could work at their minimum wage ($7.25) 9-5 job for 3.5 days and they have enough money to buy a gun. I call BS. look at the Florida shooter. Research that one and tell me why a kid should have a gun. If the human brain of a teenager isn’t fully developed to operate a car, what makes you think it is capable of operating a gun? The solution to this gun crap isn’t as simple as more guns. You have to go meta and see the psychological health, education, culture, laws, environment, etc. Please, please, please! Think before you vote. I hope this can change your perspective on things. If you want a high conscious leader, you ain’t going to get that from Trump. Please watch Leo’s videos on Conscious Politics before you vote. Again, I realize that your ego may be offended by what I am saying, but this isn’t about personally attacking you, but to help you see ways that you can grow and become more conscious in life. Whether you vote for Trump or Biden, just know that you are God and are capable of more than you can imagine. -
Hello guys, I was wondering what are the most powerful meditation techniques that you have used? I heard of Kriya Yoga, but I searched everywhere and couldn’t find any info on it. Please let me know what your favorite techniques are. My goal is to become a Buddha without psychedelics. I aim to use contemplation and meditation to get me there. Thank you! While I am at it, my favorite meditation is listening to sounds as a meditation. Another one that I really love is the Actuality vs concept meditation if looking at my hand for an hour.

There is no hate or judgment here. All of that is your interpretation and imagination. 9000 posts are imagination. Nothing actual about it. Your own hand and body are imaginary. Transcend these ideas and beliefs and Love will be all your left with. Notice that everything you type, think or say or are convinced of or identify with is concept and imagination, not actuality. -
So Ralph Smart is a popular Youtuber, but he has completely become a Zen Devil. He is telling all of his followers to NOT wear masks or take the Vaccine! He compares the conformist behavior of wearing masks and taking Covid vaccine to the sheep of the Jones Town Massacre. It is very toxic. However, I heard Leo say something about Vaccines and how they can have side effects that can affect our consciousness. I think he said that they usually contain metals that aren’t good for bad, but don’t quote me on that. My current plan is to continue to wear a mask not because I am a “sheep,” but the highest Consciousness thing to do is to wear a mask because it has been shown to reduce the spread of Covid and saves lives. Even Captain America would wear a mask, but I am not sure if he would take a “mandatory vaccine” lol. For those of you that are fans of Ralph Smart and Teal Swan, please think again. Ralph Smart has encouraged people to party during Covid, which is unfortunate. Please NO conspiracy theories here. They are a waste your consciousness, which is your life.

"Until someone demonstrates a method better than science, it is the best we got." -- Matt Dillahunty -
Wow. I was thinking about this series before he posted it lol! This is awesome! I have just graduated with a psychology degree and I am going into graduate college to pursue a Master of Science in Mental Heath Counseling. Here is the "objection" I wrote on YouTube (if you already read it, please skip the section): —————- One of the points in my science class was that we never use the word “prove.” Science does not prove anything. It tests hypotheses and verifies if they are reliably verified over time. I would avoid using the word the science proves evolution because evolution is a theory, not a law. I agree with many points in that it is completely relative, but just know that science does not prove things it merely tests hypotheses to see if they hold up. I think in your next episode, it would be cool to see you distinguish between a theory and law. In my own contemplation, I see that laws are also relative. But in sciences defense, a scientist or at least a good scientist avoids absolute words like “proof” “always” “never” “proven” etc. By the way, I recommend you look into Matt Dillahunty on Youtube. I think a discussion between you and him would be awesome! I have really wanted you to talk with him on his show “The Atheist Experience” for quite some time. I think it would be a powerful talk. Please watch the video above! He is trying to respond to the assertion that "Science is his God." —————— In my experience, science is highly relativistic. Even mental health disorders in the DSM are mental maps that we construct and verify with other mental health professionals, cultural differences, etc. Science is helpful in this case because science does research to help clinicians to verify the best treatment outcome for their clients. There are so many research designs used in science such as between-subjects and within-subjects design, small-n design, pre-test/post-test, factorial designs, quasi-experiments, and there are different ways to sample. Even though, I agree the science will never discover truths about Consciousness, I believe that science is highly beneficial to discovering better ways to flourish and navigate the truths within the contents of Consciousness. For example: Assessments are vital in counseling and help us measure where the client is at intellectually, mentally, emotionally, etc. It helps us formulate a diagnosis. There are many limitations to assessments and diagnoses, but science helps us investigate the validity of certain assessments, procedures, diagnoses, etc. Our current way of doing science has been highly beneficial to research in a variety of disciplines. It is the falsifiability of the hypotheses that allows scientists to perform tests and studies that demonstrate a certain hypotheses to be false. If the hypotheses withstand scrutiny, they become theories. It is this reliability of measurements, investigating, falsification, etc. that helps mental professionals collaborate together with the latest scientific finds to best help our clients. We use the findings of scientific research to provide psychoeducation to clients to help them navigate through their life, find meaning, and overcome obstacles. Positive psychology is a very important scientific discipline that does not receive as much attention. Here are some of the problems that I have seen in science: Scientists have this distinction between the hard sciences and the soft sciences. (Biology, chemistry, etc. are hard scientists, whereas psychology, sociology, political science, anthropology, etc. are considered soft sciences). People in the hard sciences, I have noticed, tend to discard soft sciences as not real sciences because they are so subjective. Psychology has been criticized by hard sciences as not being scientific, and it has made it more difficult for this field to grow. It is funny how the sciences that view humans as parts are seen as more scientific than rather than the sciences that focus on people as whole beings. Positive psychology is a branch out of psychology that came to being because of the negative bias that psychology was in. Martin Seligman, the founder, wanted to investigate the question of "What are people doing well instead of what are people doing wrong?" "What is self-actualization? How do people become self-actualized? What are the qualities of self-actualized people, etc.?" Science is such a broad and vague enterprise, but our culture suffers from materialism. Science to me is anything that intends to investigate reality. This means that witchcraft, psychonauts, shamans, philosophers, psychologists, biologists, chemists, meditation, religion, contemplation, etc. are all facets of science. The principle of science itself has been good for exploration, but the paradigms that culture places onto reality and processes in science inhibit exploration. Science researches psychedelics, but the paradigm they interpret and research from is limited. Another major problem that we see in the field of psychology is that there are not many studies being replicated. Replication is a crucial part of science, but I remember my psychology teacher saying that one of the reasons why we have this problem is because the Journal companies in which research is published typically do not care as much about replication studies. I think the word "care" is used a bit misleadingly, but the fact is that scientists' reputations are also a thing to consider. A scientist wants their study published by one of the best Journals out there. Replication studies are not viewed as "important" reputation and credential builders. Scientific studies that make huge discovers warrant recognition, fundings, etc. I think funding plays a huge part in science. The Universities are funded to carry out certain investigations. The problems with replication is that scientists do not usually ever fully try to replicate other studies, rather they replicate them and then add their own interpretations and insights. Not to mention, there are cases where scientists have plagiarized and fabricated data to get more money. There are many ethical dilemmas that are tied to the ego. For instance, consider the case of a scientist who is having pressure to produce a valid experiment (sometimes, experiments fail and their hypotheses are null). Scientists do not get paid for null hypotheses/results as I understand it (Don't quote me on that). But for the scientist who has their job on the line or their credentials are on the line, what do you think they are going to do? What happens if a scientist has invested years into a research project that all of a sudden fails? Some scientists have fabricated data to make the data appear as if it is significant rather than null. Just think about this, if replication is a huge problem in science that we are seeing, how do we catch people from fabricating data if we are not replicating studies? So yeah there are many positives to science, but the way in which the ego coopts it for its own gain and worldview is very tragic. I intend to keep learning more about science so that I can use good science with future clients of mine and become the most effective mental health counselor that I can be!

I don’t think there is really such a thing as a Mormon nondualist. By identifying with a certain belief system and religion already embodies duality. Nonduality is about transcending religion to see it as parts of a whole. This is one of the problems with Hindus and Buddhists that I see. A true Buddhist does not identify as a Buddhist because any attachment leads to suffering. All identities, beliefs, ideologies, politics, and religion are imagination inside the Dream of Life. Any worldview is duality. Notice this. -

Same. I think I see your point and you make an interesting point. Conspiracy theories are just low consciousness speculation and come out of fear. Astrology and such are higher consciousness spirituality related aspects that encourage open mindedness about different spiritual elements. Whereas conspiracy theories can get you sucked down a deep rabbit whole. Just talking about crystals, astrology, and chakras are fine, I think we would have a problem if people become too dogmatic about it all. That kind of behavior isn’t allowed here and is lower consciousness. Leo did start a conspiracy thread, but then when he saw what was going on, he stopped it. People couldn’t even engage in an open minded discussion about conspiracies without being dogmatic about them. I think that is the main issue. Astrology and such is treated as hypothesis and another perspective on spirituality. If it ever becomes dogmatic, then it may be problem. But I don’t see people on here who are dogmatic about that stuff. It is generally the conspiracy theories that create controversy. These forums aren’t supposed to be wars lol, they are a way to learn and expand our consciousness. -

Yeah I hope so. I mean if everyone could just wear a mask and social distance for a month, we would have no more covid. Which this is another reason why Libertarianism doesn't work because people do not make responsible choices for the benefit of the collective. If everyone has freedom, then we will have millions of deaths by now. Hopefully Bernie Sanders runs again in 2024. I don't know what is going to happen to America if Trump is reelected. Pray to Infinite Love that Biden will win!<< I heard Leo talking about vaccinations and how they can have certain chemicals in them that lower consciousness. I am going to have to do my own research, but if you guys find anything, please let me know. My goal in life is to strive for High Consciousness and Infinite Love as much as I can! <3 -

One of the best ways to know how corrupt a teaching is, is to measure the amount of Love in the teaching or in your own worldview. If the teaching or worldview is based in fear, selfishness or anything Low Consciousness and lacks Self-Love, it is corrupted teaching. If the teaching embodies Self-Love, it is a good teaching. I learned this from Actualized.org's video on Self-Love. Wearing a mask is one of the most selfless things you can do in this pandemic. You may hate it, but doing it anyways to embody and accept others completely as an aspect yourself is Love to me. -
All Trump does is the red herring fallacy. He is so good at communicating and manipulating people, which is not really so good lol. I love Biden! The only thing I did not like was that he was demonizing Kim and North Korea by calling them Thugs. He did fine at everything else. I think Joe Biden is at Stage Green whereas Obama was at Stage Yellow, and Trump is Stage Red (which represents every Red state L0L!).
