  1. @acidgoofy I'm glad, like I said not everyone does. I'm merely here to point out there;s multiple paths and different approaches suit different people
  2. @BETGR164128 Why worry? It's THIS. Dream or not, it's THIS. And, always will be THIS. All concepts need to eventually be burned up and thrown away into THIS eventually, so why not start now?
  3. @VeganAwake Is it bad that I literally can hear that in Eckhart's voice from how many times I listened to the Power of Now
  4. @This Your existential experience is you're own, your awakening will be 'unique' in the sense nobody will experience exactly what you go through. What you speak of is common post-awakening, everyone wants to compare their awakenings to teachers, others etc Sure there are depths to awakening as I often point out and 'pointers' where you can kind of tell how deep ones awakening is, but no 2 awakenings will ever be exactly the same, just like no 2 football games or apples will ever be exactly the same. Post-Awakening, it's ALWAYS best to trust your own direct experience, and not compare yourself to another's awakening. I fell into this trap a number of times thinking well this happened to Ramana, Rupert said this blah blah blah. In reality, THIS IS IT, The Absolute is ALL and It's always Here, Now. However, sometimes we can need a helping hand to see the truth of our own being, and that's where teachers, 'techniques' etc can come in, but in the end YOU are always your own guru.
  5. @Nahm This is one of my main issues with Psychedelics. It creates some sort of sense of 'I'm special, I had the deepest awakening of anyone ever, I'm more enlightened than you!!!' When in reality a true awakening is the complete opposite of this lol. It's realizing ALL are The Self, and all that's happy to you is that you have luckily realized that for yourself, and simply for 'others' it is still veiled and not seen for what it is. It's actually the most humbling experience possible to realize there's NO hierarchy, and that we are literally all the same, hence why sages like Ramana advocated for Non-Violence and equality of all sentient beings including animals, why would you want to harm yourself? Anyway, ended up on a bit of a rant, and if psychedelics help people see this truth of their own being I'm ALL for it. I just see a lot of superiority complex and issues that come with it, but that happens in a lot of awakenings, maybe it's just exaggerated in Psyches as they make the experiences so rich, idk. But saying shit like this, just doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever. People are ready for awakening at their own pace, and as the saying goes when the student is ready, the teacher will appear. That teacher could also be Psyches for sure.
  6. @Arzack You said to me only old souls can recognize their own being. I am saying I have done that, 'liberated' myself (I don't really like that term) and now you're saying I need a chart. If your theory was correct it means I MUST be an old soul, so surely I don't need a chart in this case? Again, not denying the power of Psyches for some people, but to say they're the only path to be is very reductionist and thinking. Also, 99.9% of awakened beings done so without Psychedelics, the greatest recent masters (as I mentioned) all awakened naturally, and I'm sorry but I do not regard the likes of Martin Ball on that level lol. Isn't he also having health and energetic issues as a result of extortionate use of these substances? I'm just saying, your path may not work for everyone, just like I know my path won't
  7. This is common in an early awakening breakthrough to feel despair and fear. It's like visiting the biggest city in the world alone, with no maps, no idea where you are and no idea where you're going. My advice would be to keep going, realize that nothingness = complete freedom, and then allows you to live from a place of absolute love and joy. You can still take action, except it is the universe/absolute working through you, as you ad the SMall I are not the Doer, it is the absolute that is taking care of everything. Paradoxically it frees you up to do whatever you want, and in an even more amazing way as you now have 0 demands on anything or anyone to make you happy, meaning you can actually enjoy them way more than you ever did, as there is 0 fear of losing them, you can just purely enjoy life as it is, here, now.
  8. @Arzack So am 'I' a 'high level old soul' who evolved 'in between previous lives'? I'll prefer to use my direct experience as my main source, and the fact that The Self has been recognized, and that as a result absolute peace and happiness are the side effects of this. I'm not saying these tools can't help, however, promoting them as the only path is complete BS, it's not as if people haven't been doing Ayaschua for centuries. Transmissions have been used for centuries and can also accelerate the process. Your path isn't the only path, like I said there's many ways to awaken, I was simply stating what helped me, and it didn't take decades, I worked with my teacher for a total of 9 months. There is of course still integration, but all forms of seeking have been dropped, for there is nothing left to seek, when THIS is all there is.
  9. Psychedelics can help but you don't need them, none of Ramana, Nisgardatta, Rupert, Francis, Adyashanti, Ramaji etc used them. Bear in mind, most people here have not realized the truth of their own being yet. If you're under 25 I would seriously advocate against serious psychedelic use, your bran is not fully developed yet, so why risk damaging it? I would recommend reading some the greatest recent masters if you're ready for it - Nisgardatta Maharaj, Rupert Spira, Francis Lucille etc I'm biased and too would recommend working with a teacher 1-1 and receiving transmissions, both Ramaji and Ananda Devi are great. It depends how far along you are in your journey though, a good 'theoretical understanding' is useful for sure. Ultimately though you are your own Guru and only you can wake up. Teachers can of course help, but in the end it's down to you. I'd say start with developing a solid meditation habit if you aren't doing it every day, and Self-Inquiry, this video may help you understand that- True awakening isn't about 'experiences' but the permanent recognition of You (and everything) as The Self, and abiding as that. Seeing through the illusion of the separate self, and finding out the truth about your own being. Silence is the greatest of all teachings. No word can be spoken that is true about the absolute. THIS is it, now. Always. Enlightenment is not necessarily extraordinary, for some of course it is, but not for everyone. After all, it is simply the recognition of the truth of your own being. Recognizing this, allows us to recognize the absolute peace and happiness that is inherent in our Self. Have fun
  10. @TrynaBeTurquoise It's pretty common when one gets into consciousness work they stop working out as much, sadly. I get that bodybuilding in it's purest form is basically pure ego, but like anything you can evolve exercise with the understanding. Make Bodybuilding more about overall health as we always discuss and turn it into not only an art of developing your body consciously but performing the exercises is also an art. Or, if that doesn't take your fancy, find exercise you can lose yourself in and deeply enjoy, and then it simply becomes a meditation. Also, exercise is incredibly good for how we feel 'relatively' speaking in terms of our body/minds wellbeing, just because we realize absolute happiness doesn't mean we won't get aches, pains and the rest! Oh yeah, btw found a book you'll love I'm listening to it on Audible, it's pretty good so far! (41 hours of Boundless next....) 'The Joy of Movement' https://www.audible.com/pd/The-Joy-of-Movement-Audiobook/0593151453?qid=1583491850&sr=1-1&ref=a_search_c3_lProduct_1_1&pf_rd_p=e81b7c27-6880-467a-b5a7-13cef5d729fe&pf_rd_r=4860YV55S7A0DY9HJ5T5
  11. An incredibly important video for most people here that think awakening solves every problem/issue that exists in your life. Thank you for sharing! Funnily enough if your fat and eat McDonalds pre awakening, and do the same post-awakening, you'll remain fat! Sure, awakening can help you realize these habits and help change them, but you'll still need to learn what to eat, how to exercise etc Personal Development is still important post-awakening, such a key point to remember!
  12. @SBB4746 I completely understand where you're coming from mate. They are not on missions to save the world or save humanity, more just help people realize the true nature of themselves when they can, and express this understanding in all areas of their life. Rupert actually said in a video recently 'I'm not enlightened, I'm not any better than you, all I see is Awareness, and in some it is more veiled than in others.' 'We are all the light of this being, in some cases, this being is still veiled by thoughts and feelings.' If you want to see a true humble master, who knows the nature of his own being and simply helps others realize this too. I also agree on the Messiah complex, anyone who believes 'I am more important and enlightened than you' will become seriously humbled eventually. There is NO hierarchy. True awakening is the most humbling thing of all, it's literally realizing you are the Self, like EVERYONE else, so if all are that, what makes you special and more enlightened? It's one of the issues of teaching before full Self-Realization, when you have 1000s of people asking you Qs and treating you as special, it's hard to not start thinking that you are special? Imagine you had 1000s of people telling you you're the best footballer they've ever seen, you'd start thinking it about yourself wouldn't you? @electroBeam Nothing wrong whatsoever with wanting to help people, spread love and express your understanding, the difference is when you think it's you that's the special one and changing the world. It's always God/The Absolute, All desire is God's desire, and from that place, desire comes from a place of love and wanting to share. The reason desire gets such a bad name is because people desire for them Self alone, without caring about the consequences on so called 'others' (yourself). But, like I said, wanting to help and express love and share value is natural. Imagine a world where people actually did that, it would be amazing!
  13. @Nahm Yes of course, it is not someone 'giving' you a transmission, more someone transmitting presence to presence and 'helping' you realize it yourself. Only you can wake yourself up. You are always your own guru. Anyone who says otherwise, you need to be cautious around!!! (Think I read an article saying Bentino Massano told his students they will never be as enlightened as him and he's more awake than Jesus ever was....Compare that to what the likes of Rupert and Ramana say lol )
  14. @VeganAwake Yes bro! If you ask people what they want 99% of people will say happiness! (Unless they're starving or something) And, then we stop demanding things and people to give us happiness and paradoxically we can enjoy them even more! Life is beautiful
  15. I think by happiness he’s referring to what guys like Rupert and Francis refer to. As in: Awareness = Happiness = Peace = Love ”Peace and Happiness are Inherent within consciousness.” https://non-duality.rupertspira.com/read/peace_and_happiness_are_inherent_in_consciousness
  16. @ttm My reply to that would be there are 'depths' or 'facets' to awakening, for example I am not arguing Ralston is not awake, and hasn't realised the truth, he pretty clearly has. You could say that's an awakening of the 'mind' potentially. An awakening of the 'Heart' would involve an awakening to love, but yes an embodiment of love to me is much more important than simply speaking about it. After all, no word can ever speak the absolute truth, which is why Ramana said the highest teaching is Silence. Because silence is the only 'place' the absolute can be realized, and that's why I'm a big advocate of transmissions. In regards to Leo embodying love, I can't personally answer that as haven't seen it myself, so I don't know. But embodiment isn't an overnight thing.
  17. @ttm I have to admit I actually agree with Leo on that one. An awakening to love is a key part to a 'complete' awakening, look at someone like Ramana who truly embodied these teachings, love is always at the forefront. Love = Consciousness = Reality. 'However, love, peace and happiness are inherent in the knowing of our own being. In fact, they are the knowing of being. They are simply other names for our self.' Rupert Spira. However, not sure Leo abides there, he's probably had awakenings while tripping, but that's different from actually abiding and living the truth.
  18. @Preety_India Thank you! @TrynaBeTurquoise was watching his Anti-Aging podcast which is essentially 90% about blue zones, 10% the wild and wacky stuff us normies probably won't do
  19. @TrynaBeTurquoise His videos are hilarious lol. Yeah, I personally thought WFPB eating was the healthiest diet for a long time, now am more just on The Wholefoods side, will always remain Vegan for ethical reasons now though, and I'm 99.9% sure Dairy was what caused my acne when I was younger so I would never go back to eating that again, and I have no need to eat meat
  20. @Inliytened1 And we're back to agreeing again I'll add = Happiness @VeganAwake I am very very shocked you recommended someone as awakened as Robert Wolfe, a descendent of Ramana Maharshi, well done! I am still shocked you're actually recommending a decent Teacher, a teacher who's truly self-realized, Jesus was right- Miracles can happen!
  21. @Beginner Mind Yes, these 2 are exemplary embodiments of the highest teachings, we are lucky to have teachers in the West of that caliber who also integrate Western life (Family, Kids, Work, Sex etc) with the tantric side of the teachings. I also think Rupert is Vegetarian/ Vegan, which was one of Ramana's teachings due to the equality of all sentient beings, human or not. Of course we can't be perfect in this regard, but in 2020, it's not hard to not eat animal products as a starting point
  22. @TrynaBeTurquoise I never noticed your quote at the bottom, that's fucking jokes How do you even write one there, I'm such a tech noob sorry!
  23. He's certainly right that the majority of teachers are not fully awakened, bear in mind there are literally 1000s of teachers these days. You're going down the right path, so keep going. Recognizing the truth of your own being, and full Self-Realization is, of course, the ultimate 'goal' of awakening. As is truth, but the truth is synonymous with realizing your own being, and what comes with it is absolute peace and happiness. If you are ready to read, listen to fully awakened teachers I recommend- Ramana Maharshi, Nisargadatta Maharaj (be warned sometimes they are mistranslated and will be VERY direct- For example hearing 'The world doesn't exist' as a seeker can be tough to stomach!) In terms of western teachers- Rupert Spira, Francis Lucille (Rupert' teacher), I'm biased but I class my teachers Ramaji and Ananda Devi as fully awake- I'm sure I'll get backlash here for that Others you might like - Adyashanti, Peter Brown and Shinzen Young At first, it's great to get a grasp of what different teachers are saying, but I would then say it's much more effective to stick to one teacher you resonate with and go deep into the teaching, ideally working 1-1 or going to retreats etc. That's what I did and it worked amazingly for me, good luck! And, always remember, THIS as it is now, is always it.
  24. How to destroy Neo-Advaita 101 by Rupert Spira et al What a teacher, to me, he's like the western Ramana, if a bit wordy at times
  25. @ttm Yeah, I see his point absolutely speaking, but that's not going to help anyone relatively, and that's where we can get into some murky waters. Knowing reality is love, and embodying love is 2 different things, just because you could do that, doesn't mean someone who is Self-Realized and awakened to love would, to be, one of the greatest embodiments of our recent history is Ramana Maharshi. I bet you won't hear off sex or abuse scandals from his ashram anytime soon
