  1. @SOUL please expand if you can I guess my pragmatic views are based on real life experience but I am only 21 so ??‍♂️
  2. That’s what this thread is for, radical views! I must admit I disagree pretty strongly with all the top 7, but I agree with 6/7 of the bottom ones haha. When you say private ownership of capital, do you literally mean nobody has any sort of private funds / assets? & are you proposing full socialism / communism as the top point sounds like 2 of Marx’s main proposals, unless I’m mistaken and I want to be educated if I am! But, either way that’s something I don’t think I’ll ever come round on, maybe that is just my bias as a small business owner, wannabe investor & ideally future real estate owner! @Leo Gura @Nahm @Haumea2018 would love to hear your guys proposals as slightly older members of the forum
  3. Now these are radical! Personally I'm massively against Equality of Outcome. As a small example if I gave $10000 to 10 of my friends I can guarantee you would get 10 different outcomes, and those who were rich before will get rich again & those who were broke, will become broke again. Just look at Lottery winners. I do agree with working for passion, but I believe that happens when we achieve your 4th point. Agree with your last point in terms of ending all discrimination against identity, but disagree we should all become the same Blobs without identity, our uniqueness is what makes us human & we should express that imo. In terms of Population, I support @Leo Gura's ideas that we don't need to population reduction, more so, we need technological innovation & solutions to sustain the population we have. I see your point regarding the Environment, it just wouldn't be feasible in the real world, I feel a more sustainable approach would be slowly moving towards a greener economy. I also find it hilarious we're told to eat less meat, shower for 10 minutes less per week etc, all while HUGE corporations literally destroy the environment day by day. It's like Killing a fly, and leaving an untamed tiger alive in the same room.
  4. Here’s a few more I thought of, that are radical to normal people but probably not here: No ideology or Ism is the ultimate solution to the worlds problems, Full socialists / communists see themselves as superior on content, but the structure is the same as capitalism & therefore limited. (Not to mention the negative beliefs any ideology creates) Re-Distributing wealth without proper education is about as useful as a chocolate teapot. If famous athletes & celebrities can waste 100s of Millions, you think the redistribution won’t just end back in the top 1%s hands naturally? Body acceptance should also become a movement about promoting healthy living & nutritional education. Nobody sane agrees with bullying & fat shaming, however, true acceptance is followed by responding to the situation appropriately & just accepting the growing levels of obesity is imo, far from the best response & is exactly what the real Devilish corporations want as it means people still continue to consume their poison. Acceptance followed by education & action would be a much more beneficial movement long term @mandyjw That should be common sense! I remember at 15/16 how many kids would’ve been so much better off learning trades & skilled Labour as they were never going to pursue academia or office jobs. All that happens is they rebel = bad behaviour & decreases the value of education for all, I couldn’t agree more with you! also, completely agree with your ambition point. I mean ambition in the sense of wanting to create your dream business & career, wanting to live your best life, not earning quick money so you can buy a Rolex and show off, I guess you could say striving for true fulfilment in all areas? I dunno ambition is just a much easier word to use ?
  5. @tsuki based on them definitions, I have nothing to argue. I guess the way I would phrase it is being quote on quote “Ambitious” to create your dream life in all aspects, the stuff @Nahm talks about, not just loving the life you live, but living the life of your wildest dreams because YOU want to, not so you can impress your mates. But, by the definitions you linked that isn’t ambition, so idk what you’d call it, creating your own reality, shooting for the stars? ?
  6. @tsuki hmm, I think that’s more a form of ambition than ambition itself, and there are much healthier forms. @Rilles Yeah man, although I more lean to the viewpoint of meeting basic survival needs to help people do their most meaningful work / passions, not sit around all day lmao. Not saying we shouldn’t have more leisure time etc, but If Covid lockdowns have shown me anything, it’s that having all the time in the world & no meaningful way to spend it for many (furlough has allowed this) isn’t ideal for most humans. Sure, some might want a life of leisure, but to me leisure is only enjoyable after working
  7. My other I guess wouldn't be seen radical on here, but would be in most mainstream circles, is that we should strive for everyone to be able to have Clean water, food & shelter as the bare minimum, and if you fail / don't work, you shouldn't just be left to die / become homeless. The problem of course is how do you achieve that... On the other hand though, I don't think their should be a cap on wealth, as long as we can meet everyone's basic needs, I don't think wealth should be capped, especially when you factor in that most wealth isn't simply hoarded in banks but invested in various sectors of the economy.
  8. @Guru Fat Bastard Honestly, I'm not sure in it gets much better than Francis in the modern day. It's a shame he's a little too old to go mainstream like Rupert Spira is, but I guess Rupert is Francis' student so the Direct Path will be taught anyways. His Q&A blog is a literal gold mine, and his critique of Neo-Advaita is so true, to paraphrase him, 'The world does not need more half baked teachers.'
  9. @Vision I get you, that’s great you want to Expand perspectives & branch out. Just because material possessions won’t make you absolutely happy doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy them & they don’t serve a purpose though. Im not saying you shouldn’t as everyone is unique, but don’t feel like you HAVE to renounce all possessions and live in a cave to be happy, you can be happy & enjoy material possessions, like a nice car, without needing them for your happiness, remember we’re here to enjoy life, so don’t force yourself to do stuff you know you’ll hate!
  10. Have you integrated the teachings of Orange first? what’s your finances like? Your investment knowledge? Your career? Do you have practical survival skills? of course we want to evolve past toxic capitalism & consumerism, but don’t put the cart before the horse too early!
  11. Lockdowns are a luxury of the rich. While Big Tech grows to astronomical levels your average person is struggling to keep their small business open, losing their job, their mental health being destroyed, especially with no end in sight. All while those who are encouraging & promoting Lockdown are doing so from their Ivory Towers, drinking from their $1000 bottle of Champagne. Oh well.
  12. @7thLetter Hoping you're right as I want to pick up more BTC, ETH, ADA, DOT, LINK, VET, ZIL & a couple other more speculative coins. I personally think we will see BTC stabilize, and see a small Alt rally as BTC dominance keeps dropping, once it goes below 60% then the Alts will really come alive! I like this guys video about cashing out profits along the way, especially with ALT coins, as the market drops heavy & the cycles last several years- Seems like we've had a small rebound since the 29k bottom last night, missed out on ETH close to $1k as well
  13. Great answer. Naval says similar (Early investor in a lot of tech companies, worth $100M+ I think or around that) about using your mind to make money. He has a great podcast series on how to truly build wealth & it is incredibly eye opening to say the least. I always think, if you want the answers to the problems you have, go to someone with the results you want & learn what you can from them!
  14. Also, I know this thread is focused on BTC but anyone see that Ethereum hit all time highs yesterday? Hopefully there's a nice dip to around $1100 before it flies off again!
  15. Lmao, sorry but this is Spiritual Ego at its finest. 'I've decided to be a sage, so now I must pose to the world as a perfect sage.' why not be yourself, instead of trying to be a 'sage.' Therefore, your natural presence & natural expression of Sagehood will shine through, including you playing sports and doing whatever else you enjoy, instead of trying to be a Spiritual poser. I don't mean to be harsh but it's one of the funniest things you see in Non-Duality, people get into this work then feel they have to pose as 'Spiritual' and can't do X, Y & Z. Now, I'm not saying don't do the practices, work, or engage in whatever 'spiritual activities' you enjoy such as say Tarot cards or Crystal healing etc, I'm just saying don't force your personality because you're now a 'Sage.' True sages never declared themselves Sages, lmao. Oh and 'Sages' activities and habits vary greatly! Sadhguru plays Golf, Francis Lucille plays Tennis, Eckhart Tolle drinks red wine, Adyashanti cycles & lifts weights (or did in his younger years) etc etc There's no 'list of activities a sage can do.' Although, I'd say there's one quote which sums it up pretty well from a famous mystic, I forgot his name- Love, and do whatever you want Simple as that.
  16. This is common if you're addicted to porn. You could of course be naturally attracted this, but it could of developed through excessive porn use. Honestly, after reading Your Brain On Porn & reading Anecdotes of people's porn addictions & extreme fetishes this is very minor compared to what some have been through. I'd recommend a 90 day 'reset' of No PMO (Porn, Masturbation, Orgasm) then go from there & that's a good indicator whether it's a natural attraction or a porn-induced fetish which is FAR more common then you think. If you are naturally attracted to this, then you know it isn't Porn induced. However if it developed over years of watching Porn, after what you was watching no longer worked for you, then Its likely porn induced. Take a break, and if you can't take a break, then that means you're likely addicted, I know I was.
  17. @mmKay Nobody here is allowed to give you financial advice unless they're a registered financial advisor btw, they can only tell you to research about different investments and what they're doing etc.
  18. This +1000, as an 'average' investor you can learn the fundamentals through a weekend of reading & researching, it still baffles me the majority know literally nothing about investing. @Karmadhi All great restaurants are creators, they are literally creating meals & environments their customers enjoy, and if they enjoy it enough & have a great time they'll come back. Same as any hospitality business. The best are always creating reasons for people to visit them over the competition. For example, if a Bar / Club creates a night full of the best local DJs, whereas the competition just has the same recycled songs playing every week, what one are you going to go to that night with your friends? The most successful businesses are always the forward thinking ones as Leo said! For example, with Covid, lots of clubs will go under. The smart investors will know there's going to be a HUGE demand for partying and clubbing amongst young people and will create this opportunity for them & reap the rewards as a result. @Vision If you're literally redesigning & rebuilding the house, of course it is. If you're creating a better place for people to live & enjoy their rental, then I'd also say it is, same with service accommodation, it's similar to hospitality in that regard. But, of course, it isn't always!
  19. @ugreglo Double edged sword, Technology is the reason we're able to all discuss on here, find incredible teachers all around the world, connect with anyone in minutes etc But, it also has the potential to be abused like you see in China in a technocratic kind of way. So, then the question begs, is it the technologies fault, or the people / groups that are using it and what agenda they have.
  20. @7thLetter Yeah, if it drops short term I'm all for it as just means we can buy more, I'm only interested in HODLing BTC & ETH long term, Alt coins are different ofc.
  21. @7thLetter Random experts like Raoul Paul & the Winklevoss twins? Nobody really knows with certainty, hence the word Prediction. Let's just come back to this thread when BTC peaks this bull run & then when it bottoms out again. Wherever it peaks (if it was 40k, which I doubt personally) historically it falls at least 40% from this place. However if it does reach 100k, 40% drop is only $60k.
  22. Go take care of survival needs simultaneously. Most people have no foundation here and then use spirituality to bypass taking care of those needs, that's the biggest dangers of getting involved with Non-Duality at such a young age.
  23. @BipolarGrowth Seems similar but is actually different the deeper you go. Rupert has several videos on this. Non-Duality & Solipsism aren't the same.
  24. @datamonster Agree with this, but I don't think Stocks / Real Estate are the way to generate that money as you need Capital to play both those games effectively. Imo, either a 9-5 or an Online Business is the way to go to grow capital when just starting out. To be honest, I think Investments are most effective simply regularly investing in your portfolio over decades & letting the magic of compound interest work over time. The younger you are, the more risk you can take (Crypto, Small Cap, Futuristic Funds etc) but we should all have a solid base I feel. Think of it like this you invest $100k and only make 10% that's still only $10,000. But start with $10k and invest $15k per year for 40 years at 10% and then well, it's a very different story.
  25. @Michal__ Exactly, and the average return on Stocks is around 7-8% after inflation. It is not going to make you rich unless you pick the next Tesla (or Bitcoin ) which let's be real, is unlikely. Stocks / Crytpo / Precious Metals are long-term investments that shouldn't take up too much of your mind space unless you're day trading or actually working in the space in some form. Best way to build wealth is starting a business / career & THEN thinking about investing imo.
