Wouldn't this make the male "beta" and a "nice guy" which is unattractive in sex?

@Nak Khid Language cannot express the inexpressible. -
Some other female would not have a problem. In your case, she had very little consciousness and a very huge ego. However, don't make this a victim's mindset. You gotta deal with reality the way it is right now. And right now, you need to deceive women into sleeping with you. Pathetic humans.

I know someone in person who tells me that his ultimate dream is to kill every single human being on earth and then to kill himself. I ask him why? And he says because humans are full of shit creatures, and that they create a lot of unnecessary drama. I ask him if he will kill me too, and he says yes, everyone without exception. Sure. But still, rocks don't accept. -
Feeling awkward around women might be stemming from overrating them.

Yes. I have. Rocks don't accept. -
@Nemo28 There's no right or wrong here. The future is mysterious and unpredictable. It's not possible to know what is worthwhile doing and what's not. But, as a general rule of thumb, whatever you do or decide to do, don't resist or second-guess. Even when you resist or second-guess, don't resist or second-guess that. Just fully embrace your life. Embrace all the details, the positives and the negatives. Live it up to the fullest.

With more meditation, thoughts will slow down, and you will be able to see what's truly going on. -

Love is not what you think it is. -
The distinctions/differences between any two things are arbitrary. Everything is interconnected, no matter how much we try to divide reality. Make sure you don't get caught up in the thoughts or in wanting to do something while avoiding something else. In my experience, it doesn't work like that. Also, for a deeper understanding, watch Leo's video on Sameness vs. Difference. It's probably his longest video, but it is also the juiciest and most interesting to me. It is definitely my favourite. You make the distinctions. You create your own reality.

Yep.. My mum did have the answer.. So, I was still stuck contemplating the question: "What is balance?", and I started wandering left and right trying to get an answer or at least some idea. I have failed. The insights I got were nothing compared to the insight my mum gave to me. She's my angel, I love her so much ♥️ The way I start asking her any metaphysical questions has become a certain way, I can't ask her directly as that would come as shocking (lacking a better word), and it also wouldn't be appropriate since normally nobody really talks about the deep stuff. So, I preface my actual questions with fake funny questions until she asks me to tell her directly. - Hey, mum! + What, son? - Can I ask you a question? + Sure, boy. - How are you? (while making a stupid face). + *Laughs* I'm fine. - Hey, mum! + What, son? ... *Repeat twice with some twists*... + Okay, what do you want? - Okay, I wanted to ask you: "What is balance?" She starts thinking, and then she starts giving me some examples, and I tell her that I need a definition, I need to get to the essence of balance. She thinks, and then starts giving me more examples. I say, I understand the value of the examples you're giving, but I need to have a definition that I can use in general. She thinks, and says: "I can't give you a definition, I can't point to it, all I have is examples". I say: "fine, let me have them". She mentioned nature as an example, and how any imbalance would create an opposite force that reinforces the overall balance. And then she moves on to tell me to observe the universe in general, that it is all (and here's the key insight) in motion. At first, I was like, duh! I know that mum, tell me something I don't know. But I didn't realise the depth of what she was saying until now. BALANCE IS A DYNAMIC. Of course! How else could it be?! It's not static. It is moving all the time. The problem with my existential understanding is that it is single-dimensioned, it is 1-D and cannot be otherwise. Existential insights dismiss time, and they replace it all with the present moment. Existentially, everything is one. But that's very limiting in practice. It's not wrong, just limiting. Balance, in the absolute sense, is everything. Whatever happens is already balanced. But on the practical level (it assumes time), we need to use time in that understanding. We need to add another dimension to that single dimension. We need to start thinking at least in 2-Ds. Now, I have a proper ground for building my definition(s) upon. I will keep contemplating while keeping that insight in mind, and then I'll see where it's going to get me. .. It was a really awesome day at the gym! I didn't feel lonely like I thought I would. I felt like time started expanding and that my energy levels have, at least, doubled. I should start consuming more food. .. Not sure if it's related to the gym, but for the first time in months, I had a nightmare tonight. I can't remember the details, but basically it was about feeling lost/locked up, something to do with an old friend that I haven't seen in two to three years. .. I keep forgetting that I should observe my addictions. I should be more aware throughout the day.

??♂️ You're saying that as if it is the truth. But you wouldn't know, would you? (Unless you already know, which puts you in a really dishonest position) ? @LfcCharlie4 ?❤️ @Consept I was using a specific pointer trying to help electroBeam in his specific situation, as I thought I was doing with you. Of course, it's not a general advice. Just trying to get him out of the box he's locked up himself in. Maybe just the final straw that'd break the camel's back.. -

At least I've given a disclaimer ? It's probably beyond your understanding (believe me) ? Okay, jokes aside. The ultimate answer is no answer, if you like koans, and I've given none. Everything = Nothing -

There's no answer. Whatever you believe becomes the truth for you. -

There's skepticism that assumes itself to be a correct position, which is actually false, and it contrasts itself with religion. That is false skepticism. It's just another unconscious belief system, only having one more layer of deception and sneakiness, claiming that it is correct and that it is superior to religion. This type of skepticism stems from fear (selfishness), just as much, if not even more than, religion. And there's skepticism that is aware of itself, and that is skeptical of itself, it has no ground to stand on. This is true skepticism, but it itself does not like to be called true because it actually isn't. Trueness is relative and it requires a ground(s) of pre-existing assumptions. This type of skepticism stems from Love (fearlessness), and it comes after going full-circle, it comes after passing through the gateless gate, it comes after enlightenment. True skepticism sees itself as a mere tool in your suitcase alongside belief and other tools, it does not favour one on the expense of another. False skepticism, on the other hand, denies beliefs, while running itself on its hidden toxic metaphysics. Going back to the 'virus' metaphor, what is a virus but a command/program that has gone out of control? You see, the command/program itself can be useful as long as it is used well and kept in check. Corruption stems from unconsciousness and closed-mindedness. The last point I'd like to make is that, look at kids.. Really observe them and try to remember.. Weren't you a believer as a kid? Sure you were. Weren't you open-minded as well? Sure you were. See, these two traits don't contradict or invalidate each other. Only a fearful/logical/linearly-thinking/ignorant mind would use one and reject the other. But there's logic, and there's also Truth. If you want to live like a kid again, then enlightenment is the way. Truth is the way. Meditation is the way ❤️ (I realised that maybe you already know all that, but I'll leave it for others just in case) ? -
Lento replied to electroBeam's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
How do you know skepticism is the right way to derive real insights and awakenings? What if all the problems/depression /etc... you have in your life are due to the skepticism that had infected your mind like a virus would infect your computer? (Hint: They are). -
Duality means infinity, just as non-duality does. The former is in division (form), while the latter is in wholeness (formlessness). The notion you're suggesting is pretty much useless in my opinion, because duality already covers it and it covers every other shade between black and white. What I think is interesting, though, is the process of realising the trinity of: Duality. Non-duality. The integration of both. This, in my opinion, is very worthwhile to look into and study, as the latter is the balance between the former two and only comes after realising each of them individually. So, the ordinary human being (scientist) stops at the level of duality. They are good at analysing things and creating divisions in reality. The next level would be the enlightened people. They are good at seeing the big picture and connecting what's got separated by duality. And the ultimate level would be the enlightened at the highest stages of the Spiral, i.e. stage Turquoise and beyond. I don't know a lot about this category, but I assume they are the ones who create the biggest changes in history, they have a lot of leadership traits and they are the most integrated and balanced human beings there are.

I'm having a crisis over here.. I have been contemplating so hard to get a clear definition of what balance is, and I still am failing.. On the one hand, I have a clear idea of what balance is on the existential level, while on the other hand, I can't seem to know what it is on the practical level.. This is totally wrecking my mind. I don't usually get stuck on answering any questions, but this one is breaking me down. I'm crippled. Here are the highlights of my speculations so far: Balance is getting the most out of the least. Balance is a directed and sustainable flow of energy. Balance is the stillness throughout the worst of storms. I have many YouTube videos on my watch later list about this topic, so maybe I'll find the answer there. Or maybe I would have to read something from religion, a scripture or something, maybe just a few pages on the internet, or maybe my mum had the answer all along. I shouldn't underestimate the wisdom low-consciousness people may have. .. Anyway, so as for the purposes of this journal, I have applied for a gym yesterday and today I am going to start working out, you guessed it, by myself ? My plan is to start small and build my way up gradually, as I understand how forcing things always backfire. I am well aware of how homeiostasis/ego backlash works and I'm not going to let it win again this time. I gotta be sneakier than it is. Plus I don't want to experience a lot of sore muscles ? Oh great Awareness! Please be with me, on my side ? As for the addictions, I started experiencing some withdrawal symptoms, but there's nothing serious yet. Balance now seems to be much more difficult than I thought. And it is indeed a serious business. I should look for balanced people, as I know none yet.

@Bill W The way Leo presents his content is not objective. He clearly loves what he does. He's so passionate with his message. He is transmitting his motivation to us through his videos, and the more authentic he is, the more impact he will have. I would say it can be dangerous, it really depends on both Leo and the audience. Then again, what's not potentially dangerous? Even a cup of water can be dangerous if you think about it. -

@electroBeam Self-Actualization is not just about the NOW. Just keep that in mind. -
Lento replied to electroBeam's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
After reading through all of the comments here, I would like to point out to the people who are blaming @electroBeam for his lack of results, that they are probably wrong. The thing is that I think it's actually the other way around. He's lacking results not because he hasn't applied Leo's teachings correctly, but rather the exact opposite. Notice that the majority of Leo's content probably for the last two years or so has been more directed at enlightenment, and specifically at deconstructing the ego. Self-actualization is about both construction and deconstruction. However, the construction part of Leo's teachings is paid, i.e. LP course and booklist. I'm not saying this is intended by Leo as a strategy (like RationalWiki likes to think), but I think it's fair to point that out. Now, I don't know whether you guys have bought anything, or whether electroBeam hasn't. But I don't think it's fair to place the blame on him for the lack of results. In my case, I haven't bought anything because I didn't have the money, and since I started following Leo, my life started declining until I'd hit a rock-bottom, and then I started experiencing the positives. So, maybe electroBeam needs to be more patient. Maybe he needs to deconstruct himself fully like I did, and then start constructing again from ground zero. I mean I can sense how he still has some unresolved ego issues, but that does not mean he should stop in my opinion, but rather to give his best shot at deconstructing his ego and then constructing it all over again. Just my thoughts. -

@electroBeam I sense a lot of bias in your criticism, even though you make some good points. At the very least, I would say this critique is not coming from below, like other naive critiques. -

@EddieEddie1995 The Truth is true whether you've "found" it or not, otherwise it wouldn't be the Truth, right? It's not a state, but it includes all the states. There's nothing to worry about. Nothing can go wrong. Go on with your life. Remain gentle, caring, and awesome as you are!
