weed will not really help you that much in the long run, it is more sedating than pushing and it’s addictive with symptoms of withdrawal when you stop. it can also make you more self biased and has a tendency in making people psychotic who already have issues. you even can have a bad hangover the morning after that tears you down, and i would be very attentive if you then have a more aggressive behavior than the day before. if you have any social anxiety it will make it probably worse. of course you can try out every drug you want to, but don’t wonder if you find out about all the controversials of the drug - a lot of people are in denial about the sideeffects promoting weed being less harmful than they want it to be. even the mentioning of it helping to chill out is a denial about needing it to chill out, instead of finding a solution to chill out without the substance, it’s like saying i watch movies because i can relax with it. weed is not bad in that sense, but it’s one of the drugs that are more underestimated than cigarettes and sometimes even sugar. weed is not a skill, it’s a substance.

there is a difference in accepting the body and still embracing being a transgender and not accepting the transgender part in the soul. even the hormone stuff seems ok for women if it’s about preventing unwanted pregnancy. so what the fuck are you guys talking about, except if it isn’t about own fears. there have been people over centuries who enjoyed changing their gender roles. of course hormones should be talked through with a doctor and i hope doctors ask some questions regarding why and if people are sure about their decision before they give out hormones. an additional therapy is probably supporting - but we have gone through a long history of denial about homosexuality and transsexuality and if a person is able to live a happy life with it today it’s because there are already enough examples of people who do, their community is more truthful to each other in a lot of cases than the people in denial. gender disphoria in a lot of cases comes probably because people still are afraid to stand to their preferences in sexuality and about belonging to a group. so i guess gender disphoria is still something that needs to be questioned in both directions why can’t a person be both? the true self in many cases can only be found by accepting the existence of the own preferences and denials about fears that exist in all people.

@Key Elements well it gets somewhere, it gets to how preoccupied people are while searching for their personal happyness. china is in a problematic situation, because they are to decide between two roots. actually in sense of gender equality they are pretty much on the same level as a lot of western democratic countries or maybe comparable to other asian countries in many cases even more progressive. but in sense of politics they are very blue and authoritarian, what partially is because the culture moved from an empire to communism, although they are not really as they are capitalistic, what makes exactly the problem they have to face now with what happens in hong kong. the tension between both parties is pointing to the conflict between theory and practice and even brings them in conflict with their bible. in that sense maybe chinas leaders really would do good and sit down on a table with the protesters, what will be difficult beacuse they have no leaders, maybe exactly because of the fear in mainland with which they hold up the stability in the country. the fear is on both sides. but i think china could profit enormously of a peacefull solution. practice will show. it`s enormously heated up and i really hope there will be a solution without using forces.

@lmfao think about the timing, if you move out and then get off medication soon after, it could be more dangerous than maybe change the medication while you are still at home, where you feel more stable. but if you move out soon, first try to get comfy in the new situation before you change the meds. better too slow than too fast. then you can also see if it`s the meds or maybe that you need more a shared housing what stabilizes you more. of course if it`s shared housing you need to feel into it, what kind of shared housing you would need, some are probably counterproductive to stability aswell.

@Byun Sean you could start connecting with people from any film school, you could make a post on the blackboard of the school, of course this work would be free, they might miss exactly that to produce something, you could put that up at every creative space in your closer sourounding be it design or art or dance, or you try to find someone who is into journalism, maybe sports journalism or other kinds - build a team or get part of an existing team for a while, it`s like founding a band, you could produce some high class content with, of course everyone in the team should be skilled in what they do, the output you can put it in your profile and then start to find a company that hires you. best is if you show that you can edit different kinds of work. or the other way would be to found a one man company do some comercial for yourself with your work and send it to some artists who are on the rise, you`d need to do a bit of research for that, of course here you`d do the editing not for free. connections and the right team are often the most difficult part, and that´s usually something we don`t really learn in any kind of school. but if you choose a team for the work they are doing it`s already boosting your possibilities as an editor. you could maybe even ask in film school for uncut material...if they don`t already have editors there...maybe it´s more about acting schools. usually every actor wants some material to promote themselfs, also i could imagine it`s the same for people wo want to go into some kind of tv journalism, so it would be a win win.

you guys in the us are just too polite, even the people in the discussion (who would be the heroes) round are so polite. politeness is really nice and such and maybe it`s exactly the problem, as for me this video and the argumentations in it is such a nice attempt in saying really politely, that a president of the united states want to defend the us boarder like they defended the berlin wall. only that the shooting is against people who want to come in, instead of fleeing. the democratic allied part of germany has always been open to people coming in, even though there are rules about who has to go back. maybe only a time until he would ask to "protect" other situations by shooting, a bit comparable to what happens in the china honkong conflict right now? would he also shoot on people fleeing from there if it gets more nasty? the seriousness gets lost because they don`t get nasty enough into the problematic. of course comparing one incident to another is not the same, but shooting on civilians at a boarder and then lashing out on people when telling it`s an offense against the democratic constitution. just because the incident is comic book doesn`t make the severeness comic book. it`s not a request for a comicbook shooting it`s a request for shooting on people with sharp weapons. i`m sure he knows what he suggested there, i`m sure he has been hunting in his life. the seriousness about it is not that it is comic book, but it seems like comic book in comparison to what things are happening in the world right now. shooting sharp with weapons but no sharp words please...could be a desaster if we would talk about how and to whom we sell and deliver weapons on presidents veto. it`s good that this topic came up though.
