  1. People who are traditional minded - keeping things the same, tradition, culture - may tend to excel and take duty and pride in taking care of traditional infrastructure - stock market, roads, bridges, military, religion, family, history, money, humans

People who are progressive minded may tend to have less interest in maintaining/repairing traditional infrastructure and may even get bored/uninspired by it.  They may tend to see their duty/interest in progressing future knowledge/infrastructure - the future of science, education, healthcare, mechanics, physics, spirituality, space, software, art

Traditionalists may tend to be fine with dedicating their lives to things that we have already figured out, problems we already know how to solve/design for, problems where the main deal is learning from someone else how to solve something in a cookie-cutter, step by step way.  They may tend to focus on studying existing information.

Integrative/progressives may tend to get bored by that.  They may tend to want to dedicate their lives to the things that we have not figured out, things that the textbook/classroom cannot teach you, things that must be experimented with, imagined, created.  They may tend to focus on looking for new patterns, new connections, new ideas.

Ask yourself - what do we not know how to do and how do we progress more towards that?

  2. When saying that self inquiry doesn't work - first ask - what is your definition of "work" and "does not work".  Then ask - what have I tried?  How many hours have I tried doing self inquiry?  Am I thinking in images or words?  What questions do I have?  What am I trying to figure out?

My 2 favorite methods are to either A - sit on the floor in the darkness with my phone set to a timer or B - get out Microsoft Paint and, using the text function, start asking questions and answering them.

  3. You can make inferences that someone is around yellow/turquoise based on the breadth/depth of topics that they go into, their curiosity for the world, their open-mindedness/creativity/interest/excitement for ideas/discussion/exploration/stimulation.  You kinda just have to be willing/interested in exploring topics and see how the other person reacts to them and how they chose to engage back or not.

There will be a collection of yellows in the engineering/research/teaching/art/music/psychology/film places - you just have to find them - they will tend to try to make things better and better and learn/experiment with new things/ideas/methods for new outcomes.

  4. Okay so I did some thinking - moneyless societies do not work.  You need your government to have more money than people/companies so that the government will have authority and can regulate.  If there was no money, government would have no authority and no one would listen to it.  If people/companies had more money than government, then they could take it over.

However, private companies have corrupted the US government and have gotten it to not pay off its debt to make it so bad that it cannot pay off its debt because it wants the country to fail so that private can eventually take over public.

Private does not want to get taken over by public (socialism) nor does it want to get regulated.  It needs the government to get as small as possible, not bigger.

Private thinks that the US will not pay off debt, wont be able to pay for services, will print more money, will get larger inflation, wont be able to pay for anything/print more money/more inflation, wont have any power, will get new money system, private will take over.

Private doesn't realize that private never works when acting on behalf of public.

Private wants to make public so weak to add idea that "anything government touches it messes up" and that "private is always better than public"

Private owns news stations and makes citizens confused about how money and government work.  It lets them think debt is okay and something we can live with.  It spouts off fake news and hatred and toxicitiy.

If government leaders had knowledge of how money and government work, they would have never allowed the government to get a debt or have less money that that of its citizens/companies.

These are all guesses but it sounds right to me.

    I wrote about it here:

  5. OMG.  I never realized it at the time.

Take a look at the wikipedia foundation and its dedication to access to knowledge and accuracy.

Take a look at how you can make your will part of wikipedia to help allow for the continued growth, access, and fact-checking of knowledge even after you die.

Take a look at how they are trying to take a worldwide approach with all of their chapters!

This is so beautiful and I am so proud of wikipedia.

  6. School places emphasis on making all A's and so it tells students that all they have to do is make As and they do that by being complete and correct based on what the teacher thinks is complete and correct.

Eliminate grades and let the child pick their own value system.  The current system has the top students thinking they are "smart" because they made A's.  If grades don't exist, students can focus on their own values- learning, asking questions, having fun, forming friendships.

Learning shouldn't be dreadful, over-work, right, wrong, incomplete, etc.

Let students get their own values.

You can't make students value grades as it doesn't work - kids quit trying.

  7. I was in camp Bernie Sanders but since that is out, I don't see how I could vote for Trump or Biden from their inappropriate touching of women/children (and Trump's lack of social rights awareness) and just looked today on ballotpedia.org to see who else would be on the ballot.

I've never voted Libertarian but this seems like the best option.  They've got some decent things like trying to eliminate military involvement in foreign wars, decreasing the debt, decreasing medical costs, decreasing education costs, removing immigration restrictions, etc.

Interesting age combination - Jorgensen 63 year old female (president) and Cohen 37 year old male (vice president).

  8. teachers just teach what they know and discipline what they know - everything is based off the book - book is always right and anything else is wrong.

teacher has lots of kids.  some don't want to listen.  teacher interprets it as them being rude and rowdy so teacher punishes.  child goes to detention for not listening or following directions that teacher decided on (and student had no input).

if teacher quit disciplining, then they would give power over to students - teacher is authoritarian who gets to set all rules and has free speech.  students don't have free speech in order for the environment to be quiet.

have to think of students as equals with teacher.  have to give students voice. use multiple sources of information.  let the kids think for themselves.

  9. thank goodness for the protests.  cruelty like that cannot be tolerated.  It's really nice seeing so many people putting up a fight against it.  Police departments and law need to be be caught up on what is acceptable and what is not.  It's sad that cruelty like this has been going on for hundreds (or thousands) of years but hopefully now public embarrassment will be what it takes to get them to stop doing what they are doing.

  10. I think the internet, youtube, netflix, documentaries, reddit, books, people being able to voice opinions freely, release of information freely, free speech, pictures, videos, spreading information, etc. is the best way to create change.

A protest in a way is a method for problem solving.  Stage red might problem solve with guns and fire.  Stage yellow might problem solve with thinking, logic, discussion, getting to the root of the problem and identifying sources to fix the problem and implementing them and ensure it stops happening as well as apology and forgiveness for wrong doings.  Yellow wouldn't seek to destroy to get attention but may still seek to disrupt to get attention...

Just throwing thoughts out there.  Sorry I didn't have any books.

  11. Actually I think I figured it out... may be superficial but its a start...

for people with parents who GOSSIP a lot about other's downfalls, and/or who CRITICIZE them on every mistake they have... or CRITICIZE just about anything that goes wrong all the time - as in - the DINNER TABLE topic everyday...

the child learns to be judgmental - first it may be towards others.. but then it is towards themselves..

then they start to think that everyone else is judging them based on how they judge themselves...

because the judgments are happening, they feel anxious around other people

you have to turn it off.

Now I know why I get so mad that my mom keeps gossiping about PEOPLE rather than talking about IDEAS.. all she talks about is other people :(

The parents think it is okay in their mind to call out other's shortcomings, but it is really TOXIC to a child's development.

The question is how to turn the focus away from people who, in your mind you think are judging you, to the actual task that is happening with those people.

  12. Ahh.  I have been having the same problem.  The neighbor came to the door, who I had never met, and my teeth were chattering the entire time.

Even meeting an old friend for dinner made my feet chatter.

When I played tennis with a group of strangers or even people who know me, in my mind, they all think I am a piece of shit.  If they are new, I tell myself that it won't take long for them to realize how much of a piece of shit/lame I am and that they won't want to talk to me anymore.

My mind tells me that my parents, cousins, aunts, uncles, brothers, ex love interests all think I am a piece of shit.

I remember I used to think my best friends were pieces of shit growing up and thought I was awesome and now I am wondering if that has something to do with it.  I also switch from thinking my parents hate me to thinking they are okay with me.

I find myself terrified of authority.- I've been scared of every boss I have ever had.  They have all been male with large age difference and I am a young female - I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

I quit my job and my company won't take me back and now I'm toying with other careers to try and I'm telling myself that anything I chose, I won't be good enough because I will be a piece of shit at it.  I told myself that I was a piece of shit at my last job and was the worst employee there and felt I had to quit to not get fired.  It is weird because when I was a student, I made all A's so it's a drastic change from good to bad performance.

Part of me feels like my parents are to blame for being too judgemental, but also every friendship I have ever had has gone to shit.  I feel like - okay it's good to know you're a shit but only to an extent and then it really messes with you - and I'm just trying to figure out how to symbolize these feelings so that I can get past them.

Whenever I see really bubbly confident people, I kind of feel like they are being fake and tend to appreciate the quiet people who I feel I can identify with.  But then there is the whole - the things you complain about other people are just things that you don't like about yourself..

I've been talking with a counselor for a few months now, but there's still a long way to go.  I even get scared over our sessions (but he admitted he does too.)

  13. Love all the goods and the bads that you have experienced in life.

Depression is from the past and anxiety is for the future.

Try to make peace with as many things as you can.

I am sorry that this is happening to you but it happens to us all.  Maybe think of death in a more happier light as a beautiful thing.  The end of one chapter and the start of another one.

I don't know the situation but if it is something that you can prevent, talk to a friend.  Watch Leo's latest video.  It helped me a lot.

  14. I'm sorry that you are feeling like that.  I have tried talking with my father with our relationship and he blew it off and starting lecturing me on things.

You are important, you are good enough, and you are not a piece of shit. :)  (or we are all shits in our own ways)

Some dad's just don't know how to communicate with their kids or don't try or don't realize how bad they are making their child feel.

Communicate more to your friends how you are feeling and that you feel let down when they don't want to talk about your passions when you are willing to talk about there's.  Maybe they don't realize what kind of impact they are having.

It sounds like you aren't the shit but your friends are being the shit.

I hope your day gets better!

  15. How to save the world NOW!

If world governments are willing to shut everything down immediately from an animal caused virus, then they should be willing to shut down the human caused virus that is destroying life.  Wheres the immediacy/media concern for all the fish, insects, animals that our own pollution virus is killing?

We need an immediate shut down TODAY for:

Production of food with high fructose corn syrup, sugar

Production of plastics for food and household items

Ban all air, liquid, and product pollution from factories/refineries

Ban chemicals in products that cause cancer such as pesticides and the chemicals in household shampoos, conditioners, and deodorants

Ban cruise ships from polluting the equivalents of 50 million cars.

    In three months:

Convert all existing gasoline parts in vehicles to electric power. Convert existing gas stations to electric stations.
