  1. @Someone here I'd say because of a large amount of misinformation but also some genuine concerns. A lot of people aren't mature enough to properly handle and use psychedelics in a safe way. And unsafe use can mess people up.
  2. @Someone here Well you sort out your negative emotions surrounding the level of not knowing via doing inner work imo.
  3. @aklacor727 Honestly, I wouldn't recommend trying to 'game', i.e. try and act other than how you would normally act, with anyone you want a serious relationship with. Only for those you want a casual relationship with. Your mutual attachment styles are, to my mind, going to determine how your relationship goes. I'd just follow your intuition, and maybe look up ways to build intimacy, i.e. via this: . And try to make sure that you respect each other's boundaries. And, hey if it works out it works out, if it doesn't it doesn't. ----- That said, if you want to make having an awesome relationship a priority in your life I would get into doing deep inner work, and get it so you have a secure attachment style and have emotional maturity.
  4. @Leo Gura I'd appreciate your perspective on voice journaling too, if you're willing, please. Also, I'd appreciate your perspective on using voice journalling to go through the contemplative questions on the life purpose course, please.
  5. Does anyone here do voice journaling? I.e. speaking about a topic in your personal life and having a voice recorder note it.
  6. Oh my mistake, also, i meant to say that I listen to the voice recording afterwards. My current thinking is that it might meet the human need to feel heard.
  7. @Sincerity Thanks. How come?
  8. @BlessedLion No, i don't think you overreacted. Its important to have boundaries, in my opinion. I wouldn't be surprised if she has some attachment issues that mean that she will unconsciously try to sabotage intimacy when she gets it. So ironically it may have been that the date ended badly because it was going well for her.
  9. Book regarding journaling about childhood trauma.
  10. @ValiantSalvatore Thanks bro *Brofists*
  11. @ValiantSalvatore Fairs man. I respect the introspection.
  12. @ValiantSalvatore I call it a 'formal theory' but I use the term loosely. I just used the category based on my intuition. I'm not sure I understand the rest of your comment though unfortunately
  13. @ValiantSalvatore Oh intriguing. I didn't realise that ambivalent sexism was actually a formal theory.
  14. @StarStruck Wdym? The therapist didn't know that dissociation could block EMDR, or that you even had dissociation?
  15. @Jacob Morres I meant that the way the test is setup is based on a certain worldview. The creators have designated certain answers to be indicative of 'hostile sexism', and that link is based on a certain worldview, imo.
  16. @Jacob Morres Perhaps you are hostile, or perhaps you are hostile based on a certain worldview that is used to construct the test
  17. @mr_engineer Fair enough mate, and you're welcome. I get you dude. Sounds to me like that experience generated a real sense of fear inside you towards being perceived as having negative attitudes towards women. It makes sense to me why you would fear sharing your opinion here. I've been called creepy by a couple of women before. And, I felt quite hurt by it. I have some fear about being called creepy too. I think I understand. You now feel more empowered to navigate how you interact with controversial topics with demographics of people who might become hostile towards you?
  18. @mr_engineer I don't expect you'll get cancelled here for sharing your results mate, at least by the mods. Did you get have an experience of being cancelled in real life that has meant you are wary of getting cancelled again? Edit: Seen your latest edit. I won't speak on a modding related issue here. But i respect your preference if you'd rather not share your results openly. Also, if you want to speak on a modding issue I'd PM a mod or leo.
  19. @Emerald Would you say, in your current opinion, that all 'benevolent sexism' ought to be avoided?
  20. @mr_engineer What were your genuine results?
  21. I got 36% hostile, 27% benevolent.
  22. @Emrie Yep I tried it but i didn't get much out of it. Although i think my being very dissociated at the time was a big block. My general understanding is it is very effective at dealing with a single or a few big traumas. For example, trauma from a car crash. However, can be a cumbersome tool to use with someone who is dealing with trying to overcome lots of different traumas. For example, trauma for a childhood spent with abusive parents.
  23. @PurpleTree Growth mindset my man. You've been applying a certain strategy in your game so far, and the feedback you are seemingly getting is that you aren't improving in this highlighted aspect of game. I'd research ways to overcome your inner blockages and/ or how to run your nights so that you do not overthink. I.e. what are you doing between interactions. you could do a thing where after every interaction you think of something funny about that interaction. If that doesn't work try something else. Just keep practicing, experimenting and then reflecting.
  24. Love this share! I love the potential for TRE too. Its egalitarian in a way because anyone from any economic bracket can learn to use it once they know the basic steps. From what I've seen Berceli and his team do quite a bit of outreach in Africa.
