  1. The physical body and consciousness do not work the same way. The physical body is just one small aspect of consciousness as a whole. If you become conscious of something, for example you have the realization that life is a dream, you can't become unconscious of it. If it was just a mere ideology, you can change your mind to adopt another one, but that means you never consciously had that realization in the first place in your direct experience. You can also suppress something you become conscious of because you aren't accepting of it but that would cause major cognitive dissonance and negative things will manifest for you. The dudes in platos cave get unchained, they see that life is more than just their shadows on the wall, they can never go back to their previous state before.
  2. In your personal dreams you are the one dreaming all the characters and environment therefore you can manipulate the rules if you are lucid, but in the awake dream you are just one of the characters but your higher self is the one who is dreaming that dream and who set the rules not to be broken, so your own ego doesnt have the power to do that because it is just a small part of it.
  3. @pluto You ever make an edible with that organically grown cannabis?
  4. Cannabis was a huge mind-opener for me. Have entered deep states of consciousness and seemingly entered other realities on it in the past. Although over time, its lost this effect even though I do it infrequently now. I would try smoking (use organic rolling papers/cones) and do some deep contemplation. See how that effects you. Then to go even deeper, I would try and edible on a separate occasion afterward. Highly recommend grinding up the herb and making your own edible with it (super easy to do) you get the THC and the other active cannabiniods and terpenes as opposed to just a pure THC extract, which doesn't feel nearly as spiritual in my experience. Be careful, edibles can flip your reality upside down if you take enough.
  5. I live in the Bay too. Another guy to check out that isn't mainstream and also lives in the bay is Marcus Filly, ex crossfit athlete who has his own program Functional Bodybuilding. I've probably grown the most from his approach when it comes to strength/mobility/structural balance/conditioning and apply it to my own clients. His approach to mobility (safer than forcing deep stretches aggressively) 1. promote global bloodflow ie. run/bike ect 2. banded mobility drills/dynamic stretching 3. perform movement at end range under light load emphasizing eccentric 4. increase load
  6. @kieranperez Kelly Starret is the man. If you haven't already read his book "Becoming a Supple Leopard" I highly recommend you do so.
  7. The brain is just one organ out of many that are needed for a biological organism to survive. Think about it, to reduce consciousness to merely neurons firing in a physical brain, is to dismiss the fact on how or why they are firing in that way. It was designed by infinite intelligence, metaphorically a brain that goes beyond the physical brain. How would these "dumb material objects" in the form of neurons, electrons, quarks, ect compose themselves in this way if they aren't conscious themselves and there wasn't a greater intelligence behind it?
  8. You have a DEEP bag of idioms Leo
  9. LOL "ive done xanax a couple times" hahaha That statement in this context got me
  10. Watch the video Leo made on shamanic breathing. Its his own twist on holotropic breathwork. The goal here is to resurface subconscious emotions and deal with them. He talks about how often to do this at the end. I would start first and foremost with meditation 20 minutes every day, in a comfortable position, I recommend listening to binaural beats on youtube, taking deep nasal breaths in to your stomach and exhaling slowly, focusing on your breath and letting your mind wander without resistance. Try to always stay conscious of your deep breathing though.
  11. Yep you answered your own question.
  12. I guarantee once you get some solid driving experience under your belt, 6 months, 1 year, 2 years it will feel like second nature. The difficult part then will then be keeping your attention on the road because your mind just wants to go on auto pilot, lol.
  13. Take that extra 0.5 now dude! 2g is better than 1.5 but not so much overwhelming. If you wait too long to re dose that 0.5 is not gonna do anything and just go to waste.
  14. Never climb a tree with a black bear because they are extremely good at climbing, brown bears i've read not so much, but it might seem like running away which could trigger an attack. I'd get some heavy duty spray if you are ever in bear country but me personally I have no desire to go out in an area where this might happen lol.
  15. @SQAAD I get what your saying but I think this is an area where its easy for the mind to go in circles. Is your visualization of overcoming that fear in your mind really working so well if in the back of your mind you still are afraid of that "fear" manifesting in real life? I would think of it like, you are visualizing that certain fear to overcome it, therefore what you are manifesting in real life the increased likelihood of you overcoming more and more fears and dealing with lesser amounts of resistance.
  16. You gotta read what the stretches are about. There is hardly any physical movement, has to do with a lot of concentration/visualization of chakras and energy pathways. The goal is to reach a state of samadhi, but at the very least practicing it regularly will improve posture/flexibility/lung capacity and give you a sense of inner peace. I would get the book if I were you.
  17. If you encounter a black bear, its better to act appear larger than you are, making loud noises and fight back if it attacks you. If its a grizzly, avoid eye contact, stand your ground dont run, and dont make loud noises like you would with a black bear. Curl up in a ball and dont fight back. Wait till it leaves if you are still alive to get up and move. Always carry bear spray as a first line of defense if you go in the deep woods.
  18. made me lol Im ready for the insights to rain down on me and then go do the inner work
  19. By negative emotions impairing heart function is this merely resistance of things and the negative emotions caused by that?
  20. Wait is that true Nn-dmt is considered “dangerous” by some without harmalas? where did this come from?
  21. Thats definitely not normal, do you know the species of mushroom? Some psilocybes are way more potent at lower doses while on cubensis (most common in the US) 1.5g is a moderate to low dose.
  22. Its an advancement on a spectrum And that statement is not true for everyone, far from the case
  23. The whole reason you don’t feel deserving in the first place is this whole notion of believing she is “out of your league” you see the the problem here?
