  2. https://www.theatlantic.com/family/archive/2021/12/divorce-parenting/621054/ https://archive.is/9BLfq Recently the Atlantic released this essay about one woman’s marriage. Overall the response was that it is extremely well writren, but the reaction to the content was extremely mixed and is a classic example of stage blue -> orange backlash towards stage orange -> green reasoning. the detractors insult the author and basically accuse her of selfishness for “ruining her marriage” at the expense of her family. This is stage blue reasoning that views the author as selfish and wrong for putting herself over the institution of marriage. the supports complement her as they believe it was in her best interest to express herself and not be held down by something like her husband or marriage. This is stage orange-green reasoning that views the author as empowered for putting herself over the institution of marriage. This is an example of how different spiral stages can read the same work and have completely different interpretations, and it’s nearly impossible for them to communicate with each other as their value systems are different. what are your thoughts?

  7. Because women mostly vote democratic, people assume women are more liberal than men, which is true on some things However socially, women seem to be more conservative https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/unique-everybody-else/201903/why-women-oppose-marijuana-legalization-more-men
  8. That is onto the federal guideline, the rest of the Providence’s have local laws bumping up to 16-18
  9. Psychedelics don’t cause permanent satori like that. But Tolle said he took acid.
  10. I think joe is being very reckless having this guy as well as Mcullough on. I’d be more interested in a debate between one of them and a doctor representing the mainstream view.

  13. that’s not how statistics work, a large enough sample size is representative, at least of the kind of women who use OKcupid. 1) False, 11 percent of men report using OkCupid, and 6 percent of women. There are about twice as many men. But that is not a “huge statistical problem” in this context, because it’s looking at averages. https://www.statista.com/statistics/1114040/share-of-us-internet-users-who-use-okcupid-by-gender/ 2) False, meeting people online is actually now the most common way Americans meet their SO. https://www.smithsonianmag.com/arts-culture/new-insights-how-american-couples-meet-180973335/ 3) Not necessarily, they never said the data was of long time users, plenty of men and women answering that survey could have been new adopters of OKCupid who ended up ditching it.
  14. Why is that a problem? This is the average.

  17. He is an intelligent troll. He says shocking things to garner popularity, I saw his YouTube channel a while back and it had very little attention until he started baiting bigger youtubers to make videos about him like Vaush is.

  19. This guy is a troll. He also made a review of the Netflix film cuties and implied he himself was a pedo. He just says things to create a reaction than tried to defend it to get more attention.
  20. Full article download: http://www.mediafire.com/file/uww1lbqzxp3xbp4/Loudoun_County%2C_Virginia__A_Culture_War_in_Four_Acts.pdf/file Recently there was a lot of drama in Loudon county Virginia. Parents accusing the school of teaching critical race theory and doing other things without their permission, and teachers accusing parents of racism. The drama culminated in the democratic governor of Virginia losing releection to a republicans challenger, many saying this was caused by white and Asian parents who normally vote democratic switching. Many argue this is a sign to come of republicans winning because democrats overplayed their hands, other say it is a backlash of white supremacy and Fox News propaganda. liberal journalist Matt Taibbi has done a series investigating the drama. summary: Matt also does not discuss the rape incident as it was covered elsewhere.

  22. I don’t understand what you mean. I’m saying oppression and racism caused some of the problems, but other problems are caused by unintended effects of the welfare state and more modern issues. Where does that say they are inherently to blame, as opposed to the blame being effects of larger societal factors? I realize they are doing better in many ways, but in some areas it is declining. For example the rate of out of wedlock births has swelled to 70 percent, which correlated to a high rate of single motherhood, which also correlates to crime. Currently the crime rate among African American’s is abnormally high compared to other demographics. The racial wealth gap is also large and widening. https://www.brookings.edu/blog/up-front/2020/02/27/examining-the-black-white-wealth-gap/ There is also a large amount of prime working age males who are out of the workforce and not looking for work, and they are disproportionally black, and this is bad for the economy and their health for various reasons.
  23. To put it simply they don’t. first off, men are actually a lot more fair when judging women’s looks. https://i.imgur.com/L9Vu4Zo.png in addition some data shows if some men find a woman ugly, some other men will find her more attractive, it’s actually better to be judged like that than as average by everyone.
