@Leo Gura What do you think of rupert's teachings on peace and happiness. According to him the goal of every ego is to find the peace and happiness inherent in being. I don't really see you talking about that, so do you think there's stuff worth pursuing beyond peace and happiness she rupert is deluded, or are you going to seek happiness after going deeper with psychs?

Is there such a thing as higher states of consciousness? Can someone raise their level of consciousness? I've heard conflicting reports on this. Some say the idea of states and stages of consciousness is delusional, but on the other hand it seems obvious that different people are at different levels of understanding and realization. Is there anything important on this topic I missed? Thoughts?

So I recently dropped out of law school, and my family is freaking out and they are forcing me to find a job. I have little to no experience in the real world of looking for jobs and trying to find work i'd enjoy. Any advice would be appreciated. If you want additional info feel free to ask.

@zeroISinfinity It's in your description, you want to enJOY life. Joy is an emotion. I'm pretty sure you are being moved around by the emotional trauma of your past, you never resolved it and so now everything you do is colored by those early experiences. Isn't your problem in how you feel about the world?

@zeroISinfinity I think you have to deal with the emotional/feeling trauma that is underlying your thoughts about your life and wanting a new dream. You haven't cleaned your being of your emotional trauma from childhood.

@zeroISinfinity I don't follow his teachings, I'm pretty sure he's deluded about a lot of important stuff. But it's interesting how his persona changed so dramatically. I think it's funny to see people argue about whether he's worth following or listening to though haha. You can the delusion in other people too. Or maybe i'm deluded and he's truly an enlightened master

@zeroISinfinity What does he do that triggers you so you know it's some bs? Something seems off about him, but idk if it's my judgement or if he is just a huge zen devil. It is kinda funny though how much he's the forum by storm eh haha

@zeroISinfinity Yeah that's the plan. He said it should be the main focus. I can feel the chakra in my bladder and the spiritual eye along my spine, but nothing in the heart haha

@zeroISinfinity I'm learning meditation from an ex-yogi, we're going to work on clearing the knot in my heart. This guys pretty good, he understands kriya yoga really well and he talks about meditation states in terms of accessing different parts of the brain and clearing chakras. I think you experience those heart felt meditation experiences because you opened your 2nd knot/heart knot I'm not going to get into dating until i heal my trauma and find some peace/happiness

I recently started following a YouTube channel of ex-monk/yogi and I think he has excellent videos on learning meditation, and how to access heightened states of consciousness. I highly recommend checking him out if you are stuck in your spiritual growth.

@Surfingthewave Things are good. I've been learning an effortless mindfulness by a guy called Loch Kelly and doing weekly trips it's been going well.

@levani that's bs. There's nothing that you can experience sitting or standing, that you can't experience through laying down in meditation. Anyone who tells you that awakening requires a certain posture is a charlatan

Try laying down, there's nothing wrong with meditating laying down.

Have you tried putting your attention on your heart, and from that space just accept whatever arises and surrender to it without resisting anything?
