I know, two totally different things but i think equally as possible here, and what I do depends on which one. And because I like her and I feel like I really messed up, but it should be easy to fix. I would usually just leave and stop waisting my time, but this is so simple that to leave abandon the relationship it’s a bit to rash.

Can you help me make a list of non-dual teachings and examples en christianity, the Bible, and from other religious materials from any culture. thanks! i’m trying to understand how non-duality got lost in religion

Do we experience the world the same way? Can other life forms self actualizar, grow, enlighten?

I thought about it and it seems that I’m attached to the people I want to change and i feel like the difference in beliefs could generate too much conflict and pull us apart (which a to this date hasn’t ). And of course because I believe that what I believe is the right thing, but I feel the bees sure comes more from the fear to loose them rather than to want people to suscribe to my beliefs. I don’t think i’m conscious enough to realize that they are perfect as they are (or anything for that matter) and to love and accept. It is simply not possible to me right now, although I wish it was as evident to me as it is to someone in higher consciousness .

If someone is so deceived, thinks actually knows the Truth, and are closed to many of the growing tools (like psychedelics), how can someone break out, or how someone can help a religious break out?

@Byun Sean I’m being specially cardio to not push too hard. I’m ready tu pull back at the slightest sign of resistance or backlash. How can I let them see the limitations of their current perspective? I’ve being trying some questioning/open mind exercises to start too loosen them up a little. I’m also trying not to accidentally sprinkle my own paradigms into the “teachings” when trying to communicate all this abstract new stuff.

How can someone get this desire? If one doesn’t get it your doomed? Make some think of what a privileged situation we are. And how out of control.

Yeah, I’m aware that there’s a really big chance for things going south. But i think it’s worth. First of all, form my perspective i’m helping someone detach and be open minded (more), and I think I needed to get rid of some residual paradigms and toxic stereotypes from religious and stage blue people. But a very important thing i’ve learned is that i’ve gotta let my self be more vulnerable.

What could go wrong?

@Jay Ray Alright, so I made an agreement with the person. I will show the them a piece of information like a spiral dynamics article, or a transexual explaining how they feel, or similarities between religions and the person will give me information from their perspective like the bible and passages interpreted as is, blue propaganda, etc. This way I get to really understand their world view and I get them to start exploring or at least acknowledge there are different and similar world views to -insert religion- (in this case catholic). And they might start to appreciate how they’re just one worldview, and how they were raised could have change their entire belief system etc. And i feel this way love practiced, as i’m not judging or telling them they are wrong but trying tu understand them.

@Nahm would trying to change them be fruitless? how? Of course I don’t want change them just because our psyche doesn’t align, but I genuinely believe the can grow even though they might not see it. Instead of truth I would say Infinity, God, selflessness, lack of ego, Love, maybe freedom.

Should I even try to change them?

@Nahm i would reframe it like this: if someone is so deceived that believe that what the Bible and christianity preaches is what should be done and the highest level of achievement and consciousness is being as Bible God said. (and don’t question)

@Jay Ray I’m getting into a lot of dead ends when the argument of “the Bible says so” comes up. And I don’t think saying that just because a book says doesn’t mean it’s true would help the situation. I think they need to realize that by themselves but how to help them get there

@Leo Gura but how can they get to that if their attachment to religion and blue values is the very thing keeping them away from growing? They’re rejecting the one thing that will get them unstuck. And they probably don’t want and will avoid being helped. Maybe even consider the helping a threat.

@Jay Ray Thanks a LOT, i’ll definitely try this, but you think this would be effective with someone who is extremely and deeply in love with their christianity. i’m not talking about the usual believer that goes to church on sundays and that’s as far their religion goes (the rest being general blue values). This person is way too deep in the religion. Knows the bible backwards, wants to talk about god all the time, is quite active in church activities (you know what I mean) HOWEVER, the person seems to have some green spiral parts. The person is not racist and all that, seems to be on the more loving and open minded about some stuff (like homosexuality, and nonbelievers, etc) but specifically about the religion (christ, will, spirit, the history and all that), the devotion is very deep.

I’m starting to see a girl who is very religious (catholic) and ass you guessed i’m not, quite the opposite actually. I’m quite liberal and accepting. I’m pro choice (which she’s not) i’ve got friend all around the sexuality spectrum etc. I fear we are going to clash. I think i have no trouble accepting her (being devotes and all that) I’m willing to work around and try to figure out middle ground your our differences but i don’t know if she will.
