  1. Don't know if you mean this but around that time @Nahm was banned. There was an another forum and a bunch of people left this place and/or got banned for connections to the other forum.
  2. No. There is nothing you have to do per se. There isn't attachment to any things. All attachment is thought-attachment. Waking up does not happen in, nor has nothing to do with 'the world'. "I now have 6 hours a day to do the work" is a thought held now. Notice the narrative spinning about a self doing 'the work' and waking up in the future. That's the thought-attachment standing to be let go here. Do what feels good to you. It's more likely that the work just makes your relationship and family life even better. Don't know if you're familiar with Nahm / Phil but that guy would probably have great advice for you. Also, I'd recommend leaving psychedelics for later / for when you have a day or two completely for yourself. Tripping while a daughter is waiting at daycare does not sound like a good idea to me.
  3. Do not start street fights dudes. Not even to "show your girl you're a protector". Express fear, insecurity, shame. It's surprisingly easy to die or seriously damage your health for the rest of your life in fights like this. Or someone else's.
  4. Everything in life is your making. Everything you percieve and experience, is like a metaphor for what is going on in the mind.
  5. Are you sure this was a legitimate, legally approved practicioner? Sounds totally unprofessional. I'm pretty sure what she said / did is against psychologists guidelines. I think you could write a notice to whatever organization controls psychologists guidelines and approves their right to practice.
  6. The body is like a metaphor for what goes on in the mind. If one does not change their mind, one keeps body birth-death-ing. Not reincarnation per se though. Body birth-death now. Same with genes btw. Just a metaphor. It all happens in the mind. None of it affects the mind. To put it simply, genes is just a thought. Belief.
  7. Hear ya. But what is not true, never is. What if... The 'illusion' is like a blink of an eye, and not even? What if it never even happens? Truly, I hear you. I don't know if you're familiar with ACIM... But it really shows 'the dream' as it is, something that is not. I got literally sick for a couple of days when I 'heard the message'. Like 'my mind' or 'dna' was re-wired. After, everything is quite clear. Really recommend Disappearance of the Universe by Gary R Renard. Might post an "in a nutshell" overview on what's talked about in ACIM, Buddhism and Advaita Vedanta soon. ??
  8. No-one is born, no-one awakens. The true nature. Cessation. There is not a slightest truth to illusion. None if it ever even happens.
  9. Ah yes, cessation is something you invented to keep dreaming. However, - Levels of god-realization - Alien kangaroo-mouse love - Genes makes you have more or less consciousness - Psychedelics make you awaken - My awakenings - My teachings - Relative and absolute domains - Deconstructing reality, very risky - Your / my fear - Survival etc. Very real and super important.
  10. All things are a projection of the ego. All life, stuff, cosmos, reality, space and time. God, infinity, consciousness. All ego's projection. None of it ever even happens.
  11. It's best to just see for yourself. Here's a suggestion: Keep a journal and a pen handy at all times, or a note-taking-app on your phone. Whenever you experience discord (not so good feeling), investigate what thought / belief / thought-story / narrative is it that feels off. Whenever you spot a discordant thought / belief, acknowledge it simply by writing the emotion experienced and the thought / belief in your journal, inside "apostrophes". For example... I experience the emotions guilt and worry: "I am a person living in a world, making decisions, and who is doing a wrong thing for another person. I should do the right thing. If I don't do the right thing, maybe something bad will happen to me." or I experience the emotion boredom: "To feel better, I need some thing in a world to make me experience better feeling, like a phone, movie or candy." Though you can be more specific in your personal journaling. When you keep doing this, basically spotting and letting go beliefs, true nature starts to fill in what was before held captive in darkness. Eventually it actually becomes fun and exciting every time you spot yourself focused on a belief, feeling down. Cause you know that too, will be emptied and filled with cessation-love.
  12. Nonduality is already the case. You're already not aware of anything. "There is no end to what never actually began."
  13. Cessation is what enlightenment / waking up "actually means". Cessation = Liberation. It does not scare you to death, it's not nothingness, it's not "higher or lower than" etc. Cessation is not a thing.
  14. What do you mean by 'weak sauce'? That's too bad. ACIM leads to cessation and peace.
  15. @Jake Chambers ? The stuff talked on this forum and videos etc. feels off because it is off. Maybe see if you can find some other forum, if you feel like discussing this stuff still. Egomania, narcissism, manipulation. "The highest conscious human ever." "I'm God." "You're not there yet." "That's dumb." "Self-deception." "Avoiding truth." "Stop listening to humans." "You have no idea what this and that is." ... And each time someone points out that it feels off, it's met with "why do you put Leo on a pedestal?" No. That's just something you have been "taught" by a self-proclaimed "teacher" and assumed is true.
  16. Yeah, death is a belief and it never happens. ✌️ That's what they call Samsara. Are you familiar with ACIM (A Course In Miracles)? I think you'd LOVE it. If interested, start with an introductory book. Really recommend Disappearance of the Universe by Gary Renard. I really think you'd like that book. Or maybe totally hate it. ?
  17. No-one "has consciousness". That's like saying the letters on a page have the paper. You, an ant and genes are appearances within consciousness. Just look within. Why do you want those answers? What does anyone ever really want?
  18. Death is a belief in the belief-dream. Death won't wake you up, it's just a continuation of the dream. The waking up has nothing to do with the body or what happens to the body. All that is the dream!
  19. Do what feels good to you. How does the thought that you need to achieve results feel?
  20. That's alright, though be sure to talk about it with someone you feel safe to open up to / journal. It might not seem like it at first, but opening up / expression is super helpful. You don't really hate yourself. You are focusing / believing thoughts about a self and feeling the thoughts. No, the ego is not necessary for survival. Rather, "survival" is believing a thought / concept, which is what the ego is. Let it go simply by acknowledging that you're experiencing suffering (which is what this thread is already about btw) and hunting down what thoughts / beliefs feel bad. Keep a journal or your phone's notes-app handy, and write down any beliefs or thoughts you spot in the moment. Do a list for example. That's pretty much all that's needed. Clarity comes naturally as suffering is acknowledged and beliefs spotted.
  21. No-one is afraid of any thing. How can you be afraid of death when there is no such thing as death to begin with? How can you be afraid of losing your identity when there is no identity to begin with? Fear is an emotion we experience when we believe / focus on certain (confused, mistaken) thoughts. Fear of death is actually allure of death.
