If you guys take a sector within Israel and decide it is "Israel" then don't be surprised when Israelis genenaralize hamas on Palestinians. If one wants to really be better than Israelis he should start with his own double standart. -

And go back to Europe? -

They have to. But what do you suggest they will do? Netanyahu, Ben Gvir and Smotrich voters will never admit they are wrong. -

Sectors and Ideologies among the Jews differ greatly. Jews and Christians were negligible in percents in the last centuries. There were many trials during 90s and 00s. A bit difficult after reality of terror attacks. -

When you introduce a different religion into a region that was previously homogenous in another religion, especially in a stage red and blue mentality, it will naturally cause destabilization. This doesn't mean the process shouldn't happen especially if you consider the Jewish history in Europe. If you're facing a crisis with your family due to differing beliefs, it doesn't necessarily mean the destabilization is wrong. Yes there is a room to critisize the way it happened and keep happening from both sides. -

I think it can be smarter to leverage Abraham Accords to put pressure on Palestinians and Israelis to promote a deal. If we had now a different government of say Yair Golan, Lapid, Gantz and Aizencot in key positions, they would more likely go with that because this resonate with their worldview far more than the messianic government we have now of Ben Gvir, Smotrich and Netanyahu. -

@Twentyfirst The 250 pound one feels as treatened as the 100 because he is one of its kind in the neigborhood of more 100 pound men. -
This is a misleading picture. The reality is a complex feedback loop between increasing security threats and the tightening of the IDF's control in the West Bank, with intricate causal dynamics.

In 2018? They were violent. They could have initiated genuine declarations of their willingness to come to the negotiation table. Barely did it. -

Resistance? Really? Will the results change if we continue repeating the same strategies over and over again? Is this truly the way to alleviate the fears of Israelis and earn their trust? (The same applies to the Israeli side.) Isn't it time to think outside of the box and move away from strategies that clearly aren't working? -

If it depends on this government especially in its current composition I agree. Without Ben Gvir and Smotrich parties, and surely with an oppositional government this would be an entirly different story. -

MK in the Centrist party "The is a future" Meirav Cohen: "The masks have been removed. Ben Gvir and Smotrich would rather ressetle in Gaza than bring the kidnapped home. The majority of Israeli public thinks otherwise". -
Judges' performance "For the hostages" of Hurricane that represented Israel in Eurovision.

I can testify from what I see and hear here that this is true.

Former Head of IDF and Minister of Defense: The war should have ended a year ago in January 24 after continuing the former hostage deal in November 23 and releasing all of them. https://x.com/bogie_yaalon/status/1879731716899869157

I bump this message of mine just to say this isn't intended to be a 'confrontational' message and I hope it doesn't seem that way. I am just willing to show my position this is why the wording is maybe a little bit sharp or moralistic at the beginning.

@Twentyfirst This list is dishonest and demagogic because includes surgical operations and wars, and overlooks causalities, dynamics of events from both sides and environment.

But If this is the mechanism through which a state can be established, then the same standard should be applied equally to any state that arises based on a group with some common ground (which is essentially every state ever?) Otherwise, it becomes a double standard. So if we continue that, in what, essentialy Israel is different than all the rest? Moreover, why the fact that the more activist group with more extreme ideology have to control the ship's helm in order to make an establishment of a new state possible, contradicts the notion that, mentally, developmentally, the Zionist movement is highly diverse and nuanced? Why not both can be true at the same time?

@Raze The vast majority here push to hostages deal. Ben gvir, smotrich and the like don't represent the mainstream here.

It could be on half of the country but then the war of 48 began. I think most countries sit on foundations of compromises and conflicts if you go back in time far enough to around their establishment.

You are right. "Zionists zionists...."

This isn't about Israelis per se, but the level of development of the government. There is no reason a government built from todays opposition in Israel (~50%) will be more corrupt than a similar Centrist and leftward government in Europe.
