  1. Oslo agreement has only brought more terror inside Israel. hamas doesn't want any agreement or solution which recognize Israel's right to exist.
  2. Or maybe because she started to dress like a terrorist and to sound just like the evilness she wants to fight against.
  3. She is harmless, but the perfect definition for irrational radicalism, with style and symbolism that are strongly associated with terror organizations.
  4. Three state solution - Israel, Judea (constitutional seperation) and Palestine. The best one.
  5. @Raze Even if you are stage green person in California, you will most likely have an hard time to care about mexican people if 3000 people of yours got killed from a terror attack came from there just a year ago. You would likely prefer to spread your caring on other issues related to emphaty and justice and such issues arent in absense inside your society's world. What doesnt come to justify indifference and the problems of it, but this filtering phenomena is common to human condition regardless of developmental levels.
  6. @zazen Actually Moshe Yaalon did say 2 or 3 months ago "Ethnic cleansing" and Yair Golan also say many times in different ways that the continuation of this war doesn't represent our values and specifically talked about the babies who get killed. You can check out both senior's tweets through all the previous months they are quite repeat their messages in different words all the time.
  7. Former Deputy Chief of staff and former Chief of staff (head of IDF) respectively.
  8. @Raze Public opinion tend to fluctuate depending on the current events too.
  9. The mind tries all the time to meet us with our unsolved issues, this is why any obssesive attachment to ideals (the issue doesnt matter) creates a backlash in our brain which knows we are compensating and running from something, what will cause him to bring us negative emotions that will be disguised in a judgmental behaviour towards others. Sooner or later our subconscious will notice the suffering this creates and will sense that a more flexible way of dealing with reality is needed.
  10. The Left in its excesses is too judgmental, and this radiates into its own circles and onto those who try to engage with it. Our mind seeks freedom, variety and flexibility more than it wants to fight for certain ideals again and again and these basic psychological needs tend to win in the end.
  11. But again, this kind of coasts over the civil and humane aspects - the bottom-up aspects that I see as the real and most significant factors shaping this alliance between America and Israel. I accept that the factors you mention play a role too, just not the major one in my opinion.
  12. @Leo Gura Fair, and on the other hand hamas has proven to increase terror attacks especially in the form of suicide bombing inside Israeli cities, much more during or right after times of negotiations in order to make them fail, especially the key negotiation periods like 1993-4 and 1999-2000. That by itself indicates a higher probability that those negotiations were serious and honest, since hamas received those signals and responded to them seriously.
  13. @Raze Israel has negotiated with their leaders under the governments of Rabin (1993-1995, intense efforts) Barak (1999-2001, intense) Sharon (2003-2005 moderate, less direct) and Olmert (2007-2008, intense) for a total of ~10 years.
  14. You speak like the Middle East isn’t burning itself with Sunni-Shia wars.
  15. This is not true. The ideological support is bipartisan and include shared liberal values between the Democrat and Center-Left sectors in US and Israel respectively, not any less than the Right wing parallelization.
  16. This is a political suicide to Israel as a liberal state. Two State Solution is the right one.
  17. @NewKidOnTheBlock Parents subconsciously transfer their trauma to their kids, and this is even rational in the evolutionary sense. When the environment is dangerous, it is more efficient to have a non verbal mechanism that will deliver the information as directly as possible to your limbic system that your chance to survive will be maximized. This carries much more information and in much higher resolution than if you would start to tell the kids "be carefull there is a lion at XY coordinate".
  18. Former Heads of IDF (Chief of staff Dan Halutz and Moshe Ya'alon), Major Genrals and many more seniors in IDF in a letter calling to stop the war in Gaza. https://www.haaretz.co.il/news/politics/2025-05-27/ty-article/.premium/00000197-111e-d165-a9ff-19fec03b0000
  19. This is a thread for anyone who wants to seriously deepen their unserstanding on Israel. My goal is to offer an high-resolution view of Israeli society in the most authentic day-to-day way possible. The added value: A direct insight into Israel's mindset. This is something you won't find in any video or article from foreign media. Only here you will be able to see it. I aim to present an unfiltered view of regular Israeli citizens, journalists (but not politicians), leaders of public opinions and even celebrities from here. Please keep far-right-wing quotes out of this thread, and this is because other threads and many youtube videos are already saturated with them. Excluding them here will help create a more realistic and balanced picture at the end of the day. Let’s agree on one thing: Israeli society is neither more nor less special than any other. However given the one-sided portrayal of my country over the past year, it only makes sense to emphasize the aspects that are often overlooked. Therefore, this thread will lean towards a more positive tone, with the aim of presenting a more realistic picture overall.
  20. Shamless reduction of the horror of oct7 to "desperation" and "resistance". Nothing is more shamless than that. This is the far left.
  21. @zazen He overlooks another reason that isn't less significant, perhaps the most important one which is shared values. Vmeme. In their root, the individual right to nevigate his life as he wants to, free from coercion and authoritarian control. His narrative that Israel is merely an arm controlled by the body is superficial, reductive and childish.
  22. I was reffering to the rest of your message (not just the part I quoted) that included a lot of dehumanization towards Israelis. Just read again the entire message.
  23. Just like the dehumanization you have towards Israelis 🙂
