  1. Yes it's incredible how before even thinking occurs we instinctually help ❤
  2. ? My parents used to have a crazy black cat named blackjack mcfuzz. If you stopped petting him before he was satisfied he would attack your leg as you walked away lol. The amazing personalities of existence... Incredible!!
  3. Your welcome ? Yes absolutely it reminds me of a story from Eckhart Tolle: The Duck with a Human Mind... This story illustrates the uniquely human ability to cling to the past by holding on to our stories. When two ducks get into a fight, it never lasts long – they soon separate and fly off in opposite directions. Each duck then flap its wings vigorously several times. This releases the surplus energy that built up in him during the fight. After they flap their wings, they fly on peacefully as if nothing had ever happened. Now, if the duck had a human mind, this scene would go very differently. The duck may fly away peacefully, for a moment, but he would not put the fight behind him. He would keep the fight alive in his mind, by thinking and story-making. The duck's story would probably go something like this: "I can't believe what he just did. He came within five inches of me. He has no consideration for my private space. He thinks he owns this pond. I'll never trust him again. I know he's already plotting something else to annoy me with. But I'm not going to stand for it. I'm going to teach him a lesson he will never forget."
  4. @Natasha ❤ Have you read this book.. "Are You as Happy as Your Dog?: Sure Fire Ways to Wake Up with a Smile as Big as Your Pooch's by Alan Cohen.
  5. Yes Enlightenment sort of speak transcend's external circumstances as well as arising emotions and thoughts. And simultaneously it's not something that needs to be upheld. See I can see a nice car for sale and attach to an idea of wanting to buy that car. For example I'm not going to turn my head the other way and say don't look don't look don't become attached... so in that sense it's not an avoidance... it's the underlying peace that remains regardless of whether I'm able to buy the car or not at that time. Is total complete unconditional Freedom regardless of outcome or circumstance.
  6. Its a loss not a gain. Although it can feel like a gain in the sense that you're not using so much energy to uphold the egoic construct any longer. It can feel like an energetic shift and a large weight dropped off the shoulders. ❤
  7. Another way to say unconditional is "regardless of outcome" Kind of like the deep love you always have for your child regardless of what they do. Expanding this kind of love for all of existence regardless of outcome.
  8. Spring/summer fever/coronavirus quarantine Whatever the case Many thanks to Leo for making it possible....? good times now and ahead ❤
  9. There's no point at all... it's perfectly pointless for No One ❤ Therein lies the freedom ?
  10. Yes it's the whole show. Whatever arises and simultaneously whatever doesn't arise, is all IT... it's not separate. 0 = Infinity
  11. Yes completely unknowable and incomprehensible, everything and nothing, real and unreal. It's radical it's wild it has no goal or agenda....its THIS!! The kernel of sand, the piece of grass, the dog s*** on the sidewalk; the pine cone; the clouds; the trees; the stop lights; the turkey sandwich. The boundless isness and infinite unconditional love and freedom for No One. ❤ Its THIS!!
  12. This kind of honesty and humility creates an atmosphere more conducive for this recognition ❤ Remember what's being discussed here is already the case, it's not something that isn't already true. It's already whole complete and perfect.... It's just whether it's recognized or not, hence the saying it's a lifting of the Veil.
  13. This is why I'm saying you need to look and see through the illusion clearly for yourself. If thoughts about Santa Claus being real arise here, I don't start actually believing in Santa Claus again.
  14. You need to look for yourself, it can't be something just intellectually understood it has to be seen there... Explore this SENSE of self very-very thoroughly. Not by thinking about it, but by FEELING it. Keep the focus of attention on the sense of self and inquire: Does the sense of self have a location? Does the sense of self have a shape or a size? Does the sense of self say or communicate anything? If the answer is yes, how does the sense do this exactly? Does the sense of self have any characteristics or attributes? What is the sense of self ‘made of’? An image? Sound? Taste? Smell? Sensation? Thought Arising? If not, where is any Direct or Actual Experience of some sense of self?
  15. You're asking what is the ego in a spiritual sense... like why did God create something that seems to cause suffering... maybe you're coming at the question wrong. Why is there a tree why are there rainbows why are there flowers. You're coming at it with the assumption that why is a valid question. Maybe it's just what is... A product of evolution... A survival tool/mechanism promoting self-centered activity to keep the organism alive long enough to reproduce. Now it could be called a dysfunctional survival mechanism that has outlived it's usefulness in this day and age, but again this is just a limited conditioned thought. Another way to look at the entire situation is that it's perfect whole and complete because it's what's happening. The issue seems to be that we are identified as the ego/separate sense of 'self' which causes the feelings of separation and lack. It's a misidentification which is neither right or wrong. ❤
  16. Love this guy so much, he really cracks me up, especially what he says at the end with his super contagious laugh. ❤
  17. Those sound like some pretty strong glimpses....you may have rattled the sense of self or loosened it up a bit, and yes that would be totally normal considering what you're doing. What makes up 'I'... What does 'I' consist of... Look with intensity, look with all of your attention and energy. Look like a man whose hair is on fire looks for a river. ❤
  18. Yes the sense of self cannot conceive of its own unreality. Yes self-centered activity/egoic self agenda decreases greatly and there's a deep relaxation within the body/mind. Yes it's super strange it's like something that wasn't real dies LOL... hence why it's called an illusion. It's not logical in any way.
