This reminds me of a great way I heard of describing the ego's existence: " It's real until it's not" I also like to describe it as: "The path that energy once took, and the tendency to take that same path over and over again" You are exactly right... what is the definition of an entity? Thoughts and energy are powerful and have the ability to control... yes the issue is the identification with the ego as the self. I love the analogy of the gateless gate when describing the Ego's existence: After you pass through and look back you recognize it was never real to begin with... it was a misidentification the entire time... But when one is immersed in it, it's the realest thing ever. When the entire ego construct is seen for what it truly is for the first time it's shocking... it's incredible... I remember being shocked and laughing at the same time. After this occurred for me there was an untangling from social conditioning process which I like to describe as snapping out of The Matrix. The ego can still try to puff up from time to time but if the light of awareness shines bright it seems to just stay deflated for the most part... The ego went from being a monstrous lion to a house kitten lol..?

A lot of what you said I agree with... it's a tricky topic ❤ This is the part you have to watch out for: "Ego's identification through survival lenses will perish through complete ownership and feeling of the emotions/energies" Taking ownership of the egos emotions and energies or loving the ego will only perpetuate its existence... this is exactly what the ego wants. It will literally try everything to survive.. Explaining the ego is like explaining walking through a gateless gate... once you pass through and turn around and look back you see the whole thing was an illusion... By taking ownership of these feelings and emotions it's like simply confirming to the ego that you believe in its existence. It will do anything expecially turn into a spiritual ego... it will say look I'm spiritual now....I'm good... no need to get rid of me.

Interesting perspective...thanks In my experience although DNOS is not something that you continue to go through over and over again, once the mechanism that creates the suffering is completely recognized and awareness is shined on how the ego functions, it deflates the ego rendering it powerless. Also I must completely disagree with this statement: "Ego's identification through survival lenses will perish through complete ownership and feeling of the emotions/energies" This would almost be like re identifying with your ego and negating the work of recognizing it's an illusion.... kind of reminds me of Matt Kahn BS... who simply does not understand the mechanics of the ego. The ego either wants you to completely love it or completely hate it but it cannot compute the idea of its unreality. Awareness alone is Curative ❤

Remember Awakening isn't a gaining of something... It's the crumbling away of the illusory sense of the ME character.

There is no sticky sense of ME left somewhere inside the body for things to attach to. Emotions labels feelings thoughts just fall away. It's a complete impersonal experience now ❤ Existence continues to happen but for No One...it just is what it is. The resistance to what is no longer arises because there is no one left that believes it should be one way or the other. There is no meaning purpose or value to anything. "nothing really matters" Free Will and Choice are an illusion created by the egoic self agenda of the separate self. Once the illusion of the separate self collapses All That Remains is THIS... THIS is Paradise... THIS is Freedom... THIS is Liberation... THIS is Enlightenment, and it was always the case ?

Why does not apply, that's within the dream of the individual. It doesn't matter because it's Just Energy being energetic.... There is no one here for anything to be perceived as purposeful or not.

Its freedom!! There is no meaning, no purpose to anything, "nothing really matters" it's complete boundless freedom... It's Freer than free ? Only a mind wants meaning purpose value...no mind...no problem...

My experience of Awakening was recognizing the entire construct of the "ME" was an illusion. After the ME fell away, It was simultaneously recognized Duality is an illusion because there never was a ME to begin with, it just felt like there was(Maya) One thing occurring and appearing as many...❤ Non-Duality... Liberation was recognizing the sufferer never existed, and completely seeing through the egoic self agenda and the way it controls the apparent individual. I like to describe the whole apparent process as jailbreaking the mind, disentangling from social conditioning and snapping out of The Matrix. When the mechanism that creates suffering is seen through it's almost laughable. It's absolute perfection... Its recognized Free Will is the dream of the individual. Everything is absolute perfection... what happens is the ME character places an overlay over reality and then perceives it with that Veil over the top of it. What helps the individual is labeled as good and what doesn't is labeled as bad. If I like white rice and meditation, people that eat white rice and meditate are good, and the people that don't eat white rice and meditate are bad. The ME is the most important thing going on here.... ? There's no longer a resistance to what is... Enlightenment is seeing reality clear... the stories and judgments about what is, are eliminated. ❤

I always just made sure I had a clear conscience before doing any tripping... If I needed to do something important apologize to someone or take care of business and pay somebody back I would always do that first before having fun. When you are free you are free you are free ❤

So if your arms and legs were cut off would the "I" still be in the body somewhere? What if you had a brain transplant would you still be the "I" or a different "I"... What about a heart transplant? Would it be a different "I"... What other than the body makes up the "I"..
