  1. @tuckerwphotography https://www.nytimes.com/2018/05/08/opinion/intellectual-dark-web.html It’s a small yet diverse group of intellectuals who occupy their own niche and don’t necessarily agree with each other politically. But they all are outspoken in their own ways and are against the “cancel culture” and backlash that comes mainly from liberals.
  2. Well, that sounds reassuring. Thanks! I hear a loooooooot of negativity.
  3. I’m looking forward to the Harris/Pence debate.
  4. Most people in Michigan don’t like the governor. I think anything she does at this point would be seen as interfering in favor of Joe Biden because she was one of the potential running mates.
  5. Agreed. That’s why they have Greg Abbott as governor rather than Wendy Davis. Texas could be much more liberal if they wanted, but they don’t. It ain’t right.
  6. We already went through years of hearing “Thanks, Obama!” at every bad thing. I’d rather not revisit it.
  7. The strategy to winning this election is simple: don’t be Donald Trump.
  8. Grade A Shitshow Very entertaining. The pure undiluted United Stars of Sensational Reality Television that defines America under Trump. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much at something so serious! It was what I expected and then some. Not disappointed a bit.
  9. Ok, so let’s say PragerU and it’s videos are bad/wrong/devilry. Now this leftist organization comes along to oppose it. Great! Now there’s more of a balance of information. I have one problem with it, though. You’re using the same framework (which can be labeled as propaganda) with opposing content. How much better and higher quality could it really be?
  10. Wooooooooow...what was the budget on that?
  11. I think Leo’s whole point of advocating for psychedelics is that it streamlines the process. Saying things like more or better than is missing the point.
  12. That’s the entire point of language. But that’s why there are so many different languages, also. It’s all arbitrary and only has meaning to those who use that particular language. People use labels to make distinctions and have ideas all the time, and their language is how they communicate and express those ideas and distinctions. It’s all made up.
  13. someone kneeling on the back of your neck or someone offering a helping hand
  14. It’s just a platitude commonly used when a person falls victim to some unfortunate circumstance. It’s supposedly more comforting to say this than to say it has no meaning or that it’s a form of Love. I’m not a fan of the phrase, personally.
  15. And I suppose this would work for those with malicious intent also? And should there be a trip sitter present for someone who intends to trip on something they’ve never had?
  16. Good job, Champ, you did it! The loving and encouraging words his dad should’ve said more 6 decades or so ago.
  17. Ok, different source this time with the same basic message: https://edsitement.neh.gov/curricula/alexis-de-tocqueville-tyranny-majority Also, if everything was just a popularity contest, there would’ve been a Hitler Did Nothing Wrong flavor of soda and a Boaty McBoatface out at sea. I also agree that gerrymandering needs to stop.
  18. If the electoral college is a problem, is the House of Representatives also a problem then?

  20. The population of California is about 40 million and the population of Wyoming is about 600 thousand. The electoral college is a necessary boost for the less-populated states. At least we can definitively say Hillary was more popular than Trump. That speaks volumes.
