Well, on the one hand you have the killing of some unarmed people, and allowing other people who are armed into government buildings. On the other hand, you have an iffy slogan. I think it’s a silly discussion, honestly. Police need to be better. This is non-negotiable. If you want good slogans from the left, listen to Rage Against the Machine and System of a Down.

Godspeed, @Nyseto!

I just got back to work after a 2 week vacation that involved lots of driving (3000 miles) lots of family (3 of whom are >80, and another whose immune system is compromised) and lots of alcohol and junk food (but also some good food and water). I also got my hair cut and donated for the 6th time during my vacation. But I hardly wore a mask. Just the minimum to not be kicked out of places. And some relatives had COVID already. So who knows? I could be an asymptomatic carrier now. Also, I heard that employees who travelled out of state would have to quarantine and get tested before going back to work. I never told management my vacation plans, so here I am. Let’s see how the next couple weeks go. As for why I had that mindset, it’s my vacation time to spend how I wish. I spent months watching people all around me be idiots trying to live “normally” while I stayed about as distant and safe as one can while still working. This was my turn to be the idiot and not care. Selfish? You bet. But my mood is MUUUUUUCH better, and life feels like easy mode right now. I ended 2020 and began 2021 on a waaay high note!

Don’t let your dreamboard be a memeboard. -

Labels and knowing things is certainly helpful for living in society, but dropping labels and not knowing is a purer way to be. The universe won’t care either way. -

Nice, @BNP Beats! Not something you hear much of, so it’s quite refreshing! -

Brexit is a separation, which is the opposite of unification. Whether or not either of those ideas is good or bad depends on one’s perspective.

Republicans have better memes. That’s about it from my perspective. It’s the weaponization of ideas these days. Republicans have a much more abundant arsenal in this arena.

Shinzen Young told of a bodhisattva who was raised as a Hitler Youth. Of course, they needed to grow beyond their upbringing on the path to enlightenment. -

I switched from an early shift to a late shift in January. I get more sleep at night and am more productive during the day. I recognize that this may put me in a minority, but my quality of life has improved.

Pretty much what happens in Idiocracy. I’m one of those selfish people who wants sex and fun times, but no kids. It’s just my perspective on life. I’m not sure if I’d be a good or bad parent, but I don’t want to find out the hard way. It’s not a big deal in the big picture.

Stranger than fiction, ain’t it? -
This makes Biden look bad compared to a good candidate for President, which Biden never really was. Compared to Trump, it’s alright. ??♂️

I’m not surprised by any of it. That video is entirely playing into my confirmation bias. As far as convincing somebody who’s just as fervent in their belief that Trump is a good president and had his second term stolen? Not interested. If someone hasn’t seen how bad Trump is by now, they aren’t going to. And that’s ok. It’s still a free country where you can believe what you want. It’s not my job to change their minds.

I think the closest example of that is Whole Foods. Being filthy rich or having a monopoly are concepts that are transcended in stage green because they are seen as greedy and unsustainable. A stage green monopoly is oxymoronic. -

It depends on how open-minded the atheist is. It doesn’t matter what practices they do or what experiences they have if they consistently reject the concept of God throughout. -

If so, than you’ve really outdone yourself.
