Opposite reaction for me. I never liked the show, but I liked the South Park movie making fun of Saddam. I also liked the Team America movie making fun of American foreign policy/ military interventions and Kim Jong Il. So now, I’m watching this new season making fun of Donald and the current administration, and enjoying it. I think they have a knack for lampooning whoever’s in charge of terrible political situations.

The quality of information intake has a large effect on thought output. Garbage in, garbage out.

All I know is a mod had a falling out with Leo, created their own website with a forum and YouTube videos, and a bunch of people joined because they had some issues with how Leo runs this forum and website. I can’t give any specific details.

From my perspective, Charlie Kirk was less bad than Andrew Tate.

Also, there was the schism when a bunch of members left to join the forum of an ex-mod.

The fact that he passes muster for assassination rather than murder is tragic.

Charlie Kirk was a strawman who took himself waaaaaaay too seriously. But, people who lean conservative are easy to fool, so he became popular. That’s much more tragic and harmful than a gunshot.

You seem very confident about that. Technology has certainly evolved to make more complex societies with longer, higher quality lives possible. But if you remove all technology and just look at a person, are they much better than a person 5000 years ago?

Deserved, honestly.

Donald Trump is already a caricature of a person, which is why it’s so hard to make a caricature of him that negatively affects him. He so routinely and nonchalantly dehumanizes people and ends up dehumanizing himself. He’s had decades to learn something of life beyond money, fame, power, and sex. He refuses, because this is what success is to him. He doesn’t need to learn anything else. He’s almost 80 years old with the mentality of a 10 year old. The creators of Southpark are using precisely the level of humor that’s needed to get him where it hurts. Extremely crude and immature, right on his level. I’ve never really been a fan of Southpark (and especially not Eric Cartman), but this episode used his character beautifully. Good on them!

I never saw him in person, but I did watch the livestream of his final concert. All 10 hours!
