JustThinkingAloud replied to Identity's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
God is in everyone whether they recognize him or not. To me “close” means whether people see that fact or not or whether they understand God or not. Just because they can’t see God in themselves, it doesn’t mean God is not in them. God is not selective, God is equally in all creations. -

Congratulations! Welcome to the "crazy" world and thank you for sharing! -

It's more important to understand God not what others said about God. God is in you and it's in everyone and everywhere, try to go directly to God. I hope this helps PS: Sorry, I don't understand those verses. -

haha Or what if we’re a pendant hanging on some cat’s collar or what if some huge aliens play golf with our galaxy? -

You got this constant internal conflict. Unless you pick one view and discard the other one or see the truth in both views and align them, your mind won’t be happy, you confused it. I like your computer idea. Your computer needs to get recoded, you're giving it two commands that contradict each other running simultaneously. You brainwashed yourself that everything is an illusion and others don’t exist and that’s why your mind keeps giving you this idea. Everything is an illusion because of the mechanics of how we see the world around us that doesn’t mean that the world doesn’t exist. Your loved ones do exist and they function exactly the same way as you do, having the same doubts as you do but because they lived a different life they interpret the world around them differently than you do. They don’t watch Leo’s videos. So you can say that you interpretation is an imagination because other people interpret it in different way and it’s not exactly the same as yours. Your mind is also giving you idea that you’re separate and other people do exist. I see it this way. Our body is made up of trillions of cells, each cell does it’s own “business” while they are all part of one human body, working together to make the body to work and don’t need to be aware of all other cells or the body as a whole (some of them can go astray and cause damage and need to get “cured”). What is happening to you is that you realized that you’re a part of human body and don’t know what to do with it. It still hasn’t changed the fact that you’re this little cell and that other cells do exist. You just realized something that we might not be meant to realize. Now, see how each human is a cell and humankind is the body, we are all “connected”. Your really need to figure this one out otherwise your head will keep going in circles and you won’t be able to be happy. Put it in your own words and apply it to your “imagination/interpretation” of the world around you. -

It’s not our job to do the integration for you. You’ve heard our perspectives, do you integration yourself. We’re not in your brain, we don’t know what’s in it, it’s purely your job to make sense out of it. Sorry that I shared my perspective even if it’s what you asked for, you obviously don’t want to hear it and just want to push your view on others. You want us to take on your beliefs and that will never happen unless you have a 100% proof. These are all theories including yours. If you think that your theory is the best, good for you, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s right and everyone will agree. If you want to come to a good conclusion, you do need to consider all the facts first. -

Also, people will do what they want to do, can we really stop them? Isn't it better to let them openly use other people's culture and call it appropriately so the culture still gets the credit. Once we start prosecuting them, they will still use other people's culture while they'll give it a different name so not to get prosecuted. This can lead to "death" of the culture as people will stop giving the credit where it should be given. -

Let’s put relativity to test. Who says that using only part of someone’s culture means disrespecting the “sacred”. When you flip it, it could actually be a wonderful compliment showing that this part of the culture is very valuable and is worth adopting therefore showing a big respect by adopting it. Of course, it’s not authentic and it can never be fully authentic as I wasn’t born in that culture but it’s surely a sign of respect. Talking bad about and destroying other people’s culture is wrong but adopting it could be a big compliment if you’re willing to see the positive side of it. -

Sorry, I didn’t read the whole post as I got a bit lost in it, I don’t fully resonate with it but that’s fine as long as it makes sense to you. I’m a rationalist too among many other things, I don’t identify myself with anything. The only thing I 100% know is that I don’t know everything and scientists know that too that’s why there’s billions of dollars spend on researching and understanding the “reality”. Czechs got this awesome saying “Na každém šprochu pravdy trochu.” I can’t and neither Google can translate it properly so here’s my version: “There’s a little bit of truth in everyone's view.” We all want the ultimate Truth but we’re a way far from it but we’re constantly getting closer and closer. -
@Skanzi I think you are special and I also think that everyone’s special but most of the people don’t see it and don’t use it or don’t want it but everyone has a potential to be special. I don’t really want to disturb what works for you, I just wanted to say there’s nothing wrong with thinking that you’re special as long as you don’t make other people suffer for it. They already have enough suffering in their life. Sorry, this is just my view at things and it works for me, it’s great to see that you find something that works for you

Let’s get the app done so I can sell it If nobody wants to buy it then their bad luck and the world doesn’t deserve it then and it will get deleted haha

Don’t focus on actions at this moment unless you really want do it or enjoy it, you will start acting or improve the quality of your actions later once you “recharge”. Fix your head first, stop being negative and start being realistic. Have a good look around you there’s so many great things to do and have, you just need to want them enough to go and get them while enjoying the process, just pick and choose. Life is your oyster! You just need to do something to get the benefits but that doesn’t mean that it’s hard work, there’s a lot of things that you can do just because you love doing it, you just need to find them.

Do people deserve help? They need help and they ask for help but do they actually deserve it? The internet is spoiling people by giving a lot of free stuff, they just take it for granted and don’t appreciated the effort behind it. Ok, let’s not overgeneralize, some people don’t deserve help and some people do and these people appreciate the help and/or reward it to make sure that good things survive and thrive. I suppose it’s all about karma!

Wow, I love that. Isn’t our mind amazing how it can align things once we adjust it to our individual way of thinking based on our lives. There’s so much to the reality that we don’t understand yet while every generation gets “reset” to allow for new way of thinking while cherry picking from the knowledge of previous generations that results in a better more improved view and knowledge. -
Experiment, experiment and experiment! I strongly believe that it’s the routine that kills sex. Try new things, toys, porn or whatever different way you can come up with. I am in a 18 year relationship and sometimes it does get boring so we come up with different things to keep it good. Also, there’s nothing wrong with finding other people attractive as long as you do the “deed” at home and it also increases the sex drive. I love Matt Damon, Channing Tatum, my partner loves Cameron Diaz and we laugh about it. We both realize that it’s a different thing to look at someone and the practicality of sleeping with someone. We both don’t really want to go through the awkwardness of taking cloths off in front of a stranger and going through the process of finding what they like and teaching them what we like.

I’m sorry that you had a rough childhood. Kids can be so mean! Luckily, most of them grow out of it and the ones that don’t aren’t worth your attention. It’s the great people in your life that deserve your focus. They aren’t perfect but they do as much as they can while taking care of their needs. I don’t think you can fully remove the trauma of your childhood. But you can store it away and remove the triggers that keep bringing it up. I’d keep reminding myself that it’s my views and my memories that make the situation uncomfortable, not the people around me. I’d keep analyzing why they are laughing to keep proving to myself that they are not ridiculing me, they are just having fun and mean no harm. I assume that you’re around people that are treating you as good as they can. Unfortunately, changes don’t happen overnight. You need to keep working on it and keep recognizing and celebrating every little progress you make to change your views and to keep your motivation up. It will improve but it’s hard to undo 20 years of thinking but hey, there’s always hope and anything can happen! All the best and good luck!

I’m not Nahm but I thought I could help a little. I would lie down and just let my mind do whatever it needs to do, don’t fight anything. If you want/need to, you can put some relaxing music or a movie on for some background noise. And breathe! Your mind is probably “rewiring” and needs some break and time for it to settle.
