  1. Finished reading the book today. I could see immediate results after doing more appreciation of the people around me. Some time ago I started to read a book about the Sedona method, read 1/3 of the book and switched to this book. I feel it was useful to know the Sedona method before reading the book. I could immediately apply the method in places where David R. suggested to let something go. I liked the book.
  2. @28 cm unbuffed hey I was doing every day "doing nothing" meditation for six weeks or so before the retreat. I think I started from 20 minutes and after a month or so I found my favorite spot on 45 minutes for one session. Good luck.
  3. @Mezanti thank you for making me laugh
  4. @Viking what was the toughest day for you? So, I can relax after that day.
  5. Thank you, this is useful to me. About 'no talking'.. there is talk with teacher in case of questions, right? So, strictly speaking, there is low chance to be silent for 10 days.
  6. Hah. I was doing Talabya Kriya with a mirror. And somehow after 10 reps or so I realized how making suction. Thanks to my Higher Guru. ?❤️
  7. I am excited to try something new. I had a fear before, but after 2-days solo micro-retreat the fear is gone. Yeah, to bring chair would be a tough task. But I am wondering whether they usually have some additional goodies for meditation so I can comfortably meditate.
  8. Thank you for the thread, I am going to my first retreat in 2 weeks. Somebody in the different thread suggested to watch "What is Actuality?" video before the retreat. I received the email from the retreat: > Please do not forget to bring cushions for mediation, house shoes and bedding with you. I usually meditate on my sleep pillow and/or chair, so I am going to take my pillow with me. Should I buy a specific cushion for meditation and bring with me?
  9. I do Talabya Kriya wrongly. I can’t make suction thing to glue tongue to the top of mouth. I have small cracks on my tongue the whole life maybe that’s why, I do not know. Any suggestions? Should I drop Kriya?
  10. Inspired by our leader I am planning to have my first 2-days solo retreat next weekend. Basically, do "do nothing" meditation, mindfulness through labeling, concentration, some kind of self-inquiry. No internet, computer, phone, writing, reading − just be for 2 days. I am planning to do intermittent fasting and cook for this period on Friday. Also, I am thinking about going to walk for an hour or so in a forest every day. How does it sound? Does it make sense to do such a short retreat? Any advice? PS: I am planning to go to Vipassana retreat in April. Maybe, it will help to prepare.
  11. @moon777light not many.. apart from the realization of how hard to be in Now for me.. I also realized my deep sexual desires. After micro-retreat I went to center and walked in a main street. It was so beautiful. I saw a lot of details, that was hidden for me before. It was easier to look into people eyes and smile.
  12. I started to meditate only 3 weeks ago. 2 minutes of concentration and then 20-40 minutes of "do nothing". Now I started to experience for a few seconds some interesting stuff. It's hard to describe but I'll try. It feels like energy goes from my bottom body to head and up and my mind frequency is going up. It's a little weird and scary feeling, so after a few seconds, the mind tries to return to a regular state and everything goes back to normal. On the other hand, the experience is pleasant. Also, at the beginning of meditation if I look into some particular point everything starts to move in waves a little bit, but then mind tries to rationalize it and waves disappear. Just wanted to share my experience. Maybe I need to create a journal instead.
  13. Thank you. @noselfnofun yes. Now I am not afraid to go to Vipassana retreat, start Kriya yoga.
  14. @ajasatya did it! It's not that scary as I was thinking. Friday (starting from 19.00): • 1 hour − pen-hand actuality • 30 mins − walking meditation in forest • 30 mins − mindfulness noting • 1 hour − do nothing Saturday: • 30 mins − hand actuality • 90 mins − do nothing • 45 mins − walking in forest • 30 mins − do nothing under the tree • 45 mins − walking in forest • 30 mins − mindfulness noting • 10 mins − concentration on object • 2 hours − do nothing • 30 mins − mindfulness noting • 30 mins − self-inquiry • 30 mins − pen-hand actuality • 10 mins − concentration on object • 1 hour − do nothing Sunday (till 19.00): • 1 hour − do nothing • 30 mins − mindfulness noting • 1 hour − do nothing • 45 mins − walking in forest • 1 hour − do nothing • 1 hour − do nothing • 1 hour − do nothing • 30 mins − self-inquiry I realised that 99,9% of the time I am in dreamland in the past or in the future, or just thinking about something. It's so difficult to be in Now. I want to rise awareness, so I can put it on my dreamland to return back to Now.
  15. Haha, after 2 days solo-retreat I realized that the "interesting stuff" was no more than self-deception. I tried to increase pressure in eyeballs which generates a feeling of pleasure. Now I am more aware of eyeballs during meditation and try to relax them as much as possible.
  16. @Jordan94 I do not know, going to my first Vipassana retreat in one month I suppose that all such techniques are quite similar: be aware of emotion, ..., let it go.
  17. I am wondering how this letting go technique is different from the Sedona method?
  18. To read a lot is also a trap. Measure reading not in a time or amount of pages read, but in actions which you took after reading. I.e. 1 book read and 100 actions taken is better than 100 books read and 1 action taken. That's why I often stop while reading and ask myself: "How this information will change my behavior?" I took this question from Leo's episode: The quality of what you read is also important, I really suggest to buy Leo's book list if you haven't. PS: I read a lot since I live quite far from the job and use a bus to commute.
  19. @Anton_Pierre Leo is on 30-days retreat, watch his "Life Is A Dream" episode if I may suggest.
