@Keyhole Indeed. A non-dual state. A state of samadhi. That is enlightenment. But that is only half the circle. But it is required before one can come full circle. Full circle is becoming conscious that you are Infinity just as you are - as the ego or as a finitude of infinity.

@Keyhole not just about Love but about duality. Winter felt that Truth was only non-duality Do you agree? Do you believe that only non-duality is Truth?

That's not to be disputed. But again, to close the mind to other aspects of Truth by discounting them is false teachings. Would you not agree?

@DrewNows he may very well have been enlightened. Interestingly enough i consider enlightenment an experience of non-duality. Yet there is much more awakenings to be had in which to have all realizations.

@DrewNows he did. There is a section here in which i spoke to him about duality and he dismissed duality as only illusion. He was not conscious of the fact that form and formless were identical let alone being conscious of Oneness or Love.

@DrewNows self inquiry is what awoke me as well. But to not condone other aspects of Truth is false teachings.

@Key Elements i do..i saw his quote and he said specifically that riding the ox backwards was not a test of enlightenment which is a lack of awakening to certain facets of Truth. Again it's not a knock on him it's just that he hasn't awakened to that yet. Had he been open minded to it and other facets he would still be teaching here.

@Key Elements well said! I completely get and concur with what you are saying. But it's not a bad thing either that he said he was enlightened. We don't know why he needed to say it. Perhaps he wanted validation so people would listen to him. One needs a foundation. And he had the desire to teach which i think comes with enlightenment as you want to awaken others. Who are we to judge the path of another.

@Nahm as always, my old friend (of a year) it is a paradox. We can see the goodness in Winter and his teachings. But at the same time as this is a place of teaching one must look to teaching ALL of Truth. No one is knocking Winter. For he is you. I am him. And yes, i am you. You are me as well - so get used to that. But we want to teach Truth in all of its wonderful facets and we cannot dismiss one facet over another. For that is the paradox. You are right. And yet - there is another perspective

So reality just is and that's it eh? He says the enlightenment feeling (bliss) isn't Love...its a connection with the universe...umm.... see where this is going? You see how he got defensive about being lovey dovey...he was conflating relative love with Absolute. Ego.

Nice i hadn't seen that..but if you listen carefully towards the middle he describes Love with a capital L without even realizing it LOL and starts to catch himself...he describes Being as a connection with others because they are you..compassion..etc. it's like a bell went off in his head as he was talking. I think he just hasn't made the connection himself yet.

@traveler Yes...its insane..as the Godhead duality and non-duality are One and are happening simultaneously - kind of as they are now accept you are God's mind not the ego. And only certain things will be revealed at a time usually. Otherwise it's much too much to take back to the finite mind at once. There is also the realization of Oneness in which you literally take God's perspective in form and can see that all of this is in your mind and everything and everyone is you. That was some terrifying but beautiful stuff.
