  1. How Monopoly works:
  2. I'm sorry. What's the point of this question?
  3. I think that many people who have experienced prison may possibly have had their life changed for the better because of it. I'd much prefer listening to or maybe even employing someone who has spent years in prison and learned from the experience rather than someone who has lived an average life in a traditional conservative environment who thinks they're morally superior to criminals. Check out this documentary if you have the time. It's one of my favorites and it really shows how someone with a criminal history can become a completely different person after (or sometimes even during) their sentence. Just observe the way the guy talks and his body language.
  4. The placebo effect has always baffled me tbh. Sometimes, it makes me wonder if we'll even notice a difference if all medicines and supplements have been replaced with sugar pills without anyone noticing.
  5. Leo Gura's way of saying "Time to get WOKE, bro!"
  6. @DoubleYou I hate you so much right now
  7. Numerology is probably crap. But it's an interesting kind of crap.
  8. @Leo Gura Okay then. I can respect that opinion. I'm actually on the fence with the Wendy's case. I recognize that Brooks violently resisted arrest, but I keep wanting there to be an alternative to shooting someone who's running away. I guess it could just be me, speaking as a fragile snowflake who'll never handle a gun in his life lol. (Or at least, I sure hope not)
  9. In my mind, getting killed in this situation is still too harsh. Do you think the Atlanta incident is an example of over-policing or was it okay to take a risk by shooting at him?
  10. You're still young like me. I suggest you just work hard to have an amazing life by the actual year 2077.
  11. @Kinjal It's spelt 'moral'. Morale is a different thing. Morals and Ethics appear to be inter-changeable. But I think their relationship is akin to that of intuition vs logic. Where morals are more intuitive guidelines on how to live life whereas Ethics are more based on direct thought.
  12. Libertarian Logic: "I am not a sheep, you are! FREE COUNTRY! THIS IS AMERICA! FREE COUNTRY! I WAS BORN IN AMERICA! FREE COUNTRY! . . . . . ." Sam Seder is savage.
  13. Ignorance? I don't know.
  14. I think you missed the subtext. I was only talking about anyone in this forum who probably is self-aware enough to watch out for their own ignorance. Most people are knee-deep, neck-deep, or drowning in their own ignorance.
  15. Anger is ignorance. Technically okay to be ignorant but why would you want to be?
  16. This strikes eerily to me of the mentality that America had in reaction to the 9/11 attacks.
  17. That's just an ego backlash. I don't think anyone should be consciously doing stupid stuff to try to grow themselves, though. That's just accelerationist thought. Like voting for Trump because you think it will teach the DNC a lesson.
  18. I think you should at least try to help but set a threshold for yourself for how much negativity you can tolerate. Sometimes spending the energy might be worth it for them and your relationship, sometimes they could just be too lost to help. I guess you should always just trust your intuition and judgement with this one.
  19. Speaking as a fan of so called leftist "Breadtube", you could say I'm a bit more edgy with my leftist rhetoric. So I have no problem reading that and just outright labeling you a racist and a white supremacist. I know this forum encourages more productive, deep, and detailed discussion but HEY. . . . ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ sometimes you just gotta say what you want in the most direct fashion. No beating around the bush. No pretense of trying to have a civil discussion. Kinda like how your favorite Trumpy boy acts, wouldn't you agree?
  20. In what way? I'd like to hear your thoughts on that.
  21. I feel like you didn't even read what I said. Why do I even bother?
  22. Okay, I apologize. I read that wrong. If you're asking where the limit is for progressiveness, I would say that it depends on the context. Always think critically and openly about any topic instead of just holding on to any particular point in the progressiveness scale.
  23. You're making assumptions about what I believe in. But be careful stereo-typing immigrants. Most of them are not religious fundamentalists in the foaming-at-the-mouth sense. And don't forget that America, or let's say "The West", still has a ton of fundamentalist religious types.
  24. You're weird, even for a conservative. You're using past progressive achievements as justification to prevent further progressive movements. Weird, man.
  25. Dude, I literally come from a culture that was historically enslaved by White Europeans. I wasn't taught that white people were bad, just that we Filipinos were historically enslaved by White Christians at one point and we fought for our freedom. At no point in history, did the Philippines do its own version of slavery. Oppression almost always tends to be a one-sided act of cruelty.
