  1. @Angelite Oh shit wait I tagged the wrong person?? I'm sorry! I meant @EvilAngel I got the wrong angel *facepalm*
  2. @Angelite I'm saying it applies to various kinds of spirituality. Here's a good read. https://www.amazon.com/Shamans-Among-Schizophrenia-Shamanism-Evolutionary/dp/1300430915 But I was just aiming towards giving you some encouragement, supporting your inquiry on the connection between mental illness and mystical experience. I was diagnosed at a young age with PTSD, I know it's certainly not the same as bipolar disorder but I'm just going to make it crystal clear that I know what these states are like, and have had my share of mania in my lifetime, highs & lows in which both sacrificed & liberated a huge part of myself. Both periods of euphoria and severe depression, and surrendering to emotional pain, created spiritual significance for me because it helped me find the mystical union of God and the Devil. I was given an invitation to embrace the both of them as one, which spiritually transformed my life.
  3. @EvilAngel One can most certainly have a spiritual awakening through manic episodes/psychosis. It just may not always be manageable, but most definitely experienced and understood. It has been shown for instance, that there is a close connection between Shamanism and Schizophrenia. There is sublime familiarity. From a Shamanic perspective, it is believed that mental illness simply implies "the birth of a healer".
  4. @now is forever With kaleidoscopic vision hehe
  5. @Serotoninluv Perhaps Teletubbies could be used as a Spiral Dynamics blueprint for child development/kids (with Aspergers)?
  6. It sort of slightly reminds me of the Wizard Of Oz and meeting the man behind the curtain. (An archetype I enjoying working with) I shall call it the Wizard Of Ox
  7. @GabeN Well you are certainly tracing the Ox's footprints.
  8. @Serotoninluv Yaaay. It IS an art! Your heart, body & soul is also a work of art. So especially when one is using all three of these in harmony and alignment with their deepest passion, which you are doing, comes a trifecta of artistic expression. Art is elemental and appears in many forms, shapes & colors, just got to see art for where it truly is outside the lines. Beautiful.
  9. @Serotoninluv What a question haha. Well since passion is the fuel to creative expression I suppose I would encourage the person to meditate on unlocking that inner calling first and foremost, unlocking what truly and fully speaks to their soul. Also perhaps through the use of automatic writing/drawing exercises to dive into the collective unconscious, to confront/embrace certain emotions and thoughts, and seeing what appears. Expressive therapy is something I would love to do, help children and adults who feel lost along their spiritual journey, through healing practices such as these, especially music therapy in particular. (I guess this is why I can't seem to shut up about it lol) I've been giving it some thought and it is a valid back up plan to have, that I am passionate about but as we were talking recently about the limited availability on spirituality/consciousness education being so unfortunate, I'm a little unsure where to even begin such a career.
  10. @Leo Gura This is why I value creative consciousness & creativity. Through my experience, I have found it to be an accessible pathway to mystical experiences one can have any day, anytime because it guides us deep into the unknown realm of the imagination, unseen possibilities and intuition. It's so simple that anyone can achieve and discover it when we are simply exploring the depths of our own unique creative power & creative energy, soul energy on a regular basis. Mystical experiences can also be completely internal, coming from within just like God does. It's not all that paranormal or extra-terrestrial, it can shatter logic but I think it can just be accessed directly through total awareness and transcendence of the soul, while in a state & flow of radical presence, love and acceptance. Those things are quite distracting indeed. To me seeing angels & spirits and stuff aren't even as powerful as real genuine human experience can be, like what I explained above, but I know some 'mystics' would disagree with me on that. Perhaps the wee angels & devils are really just within us and even little aliens sending far out unorthodox insights/visions, I'm cool with that I guess.
  11. @lmfao Hehehe yes this too! Every passing fleeting moment.
  12. @Wisebaxter You'll just know. ❤️ The very sensation you experience will overtake the logical mind for it will feel so out of this world, you will only be able to feel awe, bamboozled. You will not question or doubt it, there's simply no need for that because it will feel like one of the most honest, true, actual moments you've ever experienced that could not be predicted or ever thought of with uncertainty. You'll either melt into tears or end up in a raging fit of laughter, or maybe both or maybe neither, but you'll certainly feel something profound and you might not be able to articulate it or arrange it into words that make sense to your average Joe, and you won't be able to prove it, it will just make complete sense to you and it will make more sense than anything else you've ever read or tried to understand before. And yes it can happen out of the most simple things sometimes, because these experiences will occur naturally and on their own, usually when you least expect it and at a time when you can benefit it from it the most.
  13. You are flowing in harmony with the ancient musical energies of the universe! ❤️ Okay everything is summed up in this one video alone.
  14. @Joseph Maynor Yes, exactly! So great..
  15. Music is like an entire different dimension, through a portal, you will get there, it all starts with the beat of your heart. As a musician and a spiritualist, I am deeplypassionate about this topic and honestly I don't think this is discussed enough so I'm really glad you asked! Those goosebumps you feel are pure energy, it's pure magic, it's a beautiful physical/emotional empathetic reaction you are having to the sound & flow of the music that is grabbing you, captivating you. To me any sort of experience of expression in which one is activating their emotional body and tapping into their soul and not ego, is intertwined with spiritual connection and the divine, especially with music. When you are in the flow of creating/playing music, this is a form of active presence/meditation, there is only this moment now & pure channeled energy, there is only a state of letting yourself go. I have directly found the essence of God through the practice of music since I was a little girl. I remember consciously writing these experiences down and how much it connected me to the expansion and sensation of God because they were so profound. This was the very beginning and driving force of my spiritual journey. Of course perhaps it could've had a more drastic & exaggerated affect on me because my childhood was quite traumatic so music was literally "the great escape" and the greatest source for me to release what I was going through, as it is for so many other people, this is universal. The act of creating/performing music has been transporting people into higher states of consciousness, to Spirit, for eons. It has transcended many minds & souls within numerous spiritual cultures, it is a spiritual ritual in itself. We are symphonic bodies, I mean each tone of the music scale is linked to the frequencies of each of the seven emotional centers; chakras. Music was pretty much emulated & mimicked from nature. Music lives within us all, musician or not, when we are spiritual, we are "in tune" and when we are one with music, embodying it, we are also in tune. I think anyone who has picked up a guitar or set of bongos or sang along to a song at least once in their life would agree with me here. "Music is all around us, all you have to do is listen." Look up August Rush. By all means one must always follow their own path, but perhaps this is your calling? If you have a spiritual routine, I would encourage opening your heart & mind to the experimentation of rhythm & sound along your journey and see what kind of sensations come up, I guarantee you will be amazed. ❤️ Honestly I pretty much geek over this shit and could go on and on about it but I don't want to bombard this post with my whimsical thoughts on music lol. I love it so much though haha thank you again for asking!
  16. @Elysian Dude can I just say I'm so freaking excited right now..so many syncroncities have been occurring today one after the other.. one being that I just walked into work and right on the desk there's a note saying "(name of person) is looking for moldivite" in bold print !! Mind you, I've never heard of this crystal until you mentioned it! Not to mention a car parked in front of the place with a license plate that says "Faith" and whether or not it belongs to a nun it makes no difference to me because it's divine sign and this is the kind of stuff that keeps me alive feeling bright eyed and bushy tailed and gives me like these energetic butterfly shocks of euphoria that feels like fireworks haha
  17. @Inliytened1 Yes yes yes!
  18. @Baotrader Yay! ❤️ I'm so happy to hear you're back. You are a Lion, brother ❤️
  19. I respect this. Do you suspect that the constant longing/seeking for Enlightenment could turn slightly solipsistic or egocentric for some which is an obvious distraction? Because there's that level of attachment I think there where you're having that fixated, almost perfectionist approach on something that could be holding you back? I think there are many traps to Enlightenment though, which is just part of its intriguing journey. I've noticed this egoic superficial distraction within the New Age community alone, just people who claim they're "Enlightened" but they are missing obvious elements, one being that they are walking around talking & bragging about it. Two being that it's some sort of fashion, some suddenly wearing turbans, even though they're white as hell (cultural appropriation much? Is this the new trend?) I don't know man, I think they do this out loud because it gives them some sort of unique identity, and puts them in a content superior place, I mean people are a tad intimidated by them when they speak and people will listen to what they have to say or believe what they have to say, or even follow them blindly, even if they're speaking in tongues. And I think it's safe to say their collection of knowledge is clearly governed by plagiarized "Buddhist" social media platitudes.
  20. @Leo Gura I don't want to go into another sad-Blue-dad story but this is him all over. He's lived in his mother's basement his whole life pretty much and growing up around him, now in my adulthood and watching him waste his life in fear, delusion & political ideology hurts me. His only salvation is defending this "precious" country and venting/lamenting/emotionally gallivanting, even hitting it off with Alex Jones. He doesn't recognize the tremendous amount of school attacks that went down in this past year alone within this country, in which all were committed by caucasians. If you're outside this country, everyone else are terrorists but if you ask me, his own mind is the terrorist. I think the closest he currently is to God is the documentations of UFOs. I wish there was something I could do to help him, so I don't have to witness him grow into an old cynical man with not a shimmer of love & peace. But it's not too easy to even communicate or get a word in with a rigid right-winged, dogmatic thinker, neither is it easy to express your separate opinions, let alone help or convince them to take a few deep breaths, read a book on Taoism or watch a Leo video. I'm not out to control or dictate his rigid belief systems, I'm aware this isn't for everyone if it doesn't interest them first, but all he does is curse, complain & flirt with despair and sometimes I just wish he wasn't so ignorant to the ultimate answers in which he seeks (eg;finding peace, ending suffering) that are right there in front of him if he just looked, they just keep aimlessly swimming around his vision, like flies.
  21. @Gligorije Hey I would also look into the concept of automatic writing, it's an interesting form of meditation where you are exercising your intuition. You simply clear your head, breathe deeply, get in the zone and open your mind to any insights, ideas, information or even illustrations that come to you straight away, then you contemplate them and let your pen & hand begin to almost unstoppably channel them onto paper. This is you as the recipient of your higher self, this is the conduit for higher wisdom. When you are in this trance, there is no ego but there is only the flow in which you are in. When you read back to reflect upon what you've written later on, you will often be surprised to receive such deep & profound things you would never have expected or ever intended on writing/seeing. This is why it may seem extra-terrestrial or otherworldly, but you're just tapping into deep levels of consciousness. Writing is highly expressive and therapeutic which is why there were Beatniks and children pouring their souls out into diaries, and now there is writing therapy and creative journaling for healing/overcoming barriers, and so much more. It's been documenting & recording the realm of human imagination and existential wonderment for centuries. The concept of using writing as a form of meditation is actually quite primitive and natural and it's not rocket science. It's not having a superpower or supernatural ability that only limited people can attain either, it's just the natural process of writing. It's been effortlessly achieved by many philosophers/innovators/physicists/prophets/gurus for centuries and it has helped many people attain Enlightenment but everyone technically has these skills or these "psychic abilities" since we all have intuition, so it can be achieved by anyone it just depends on how conscious you are of it. It's all about tapping into your own intuitive, soul self and higher states of consciousness through radical relaxation and lack of force.
  22. @universe Exactly!! I love it, especially the racecar analogy, hence why life purpose gives "drive" To have a mission in life is to get out of bed in the morning. It's to wake up everyday feeling inspired and ready to experience the endless possibilities, and it keeps you motivated. When you are following your calling, you are not only giving to yourself but also giving to the world because you're doing it from a total place of heart, out of genuine love & authenticity. I think spirituality is directly related to having a life passion/mission/purpose.
  23. @Mikael89 Quantum suicide..this reminds me of this one mechanism I would use in the past when I had these thoughts as a teenager, I would ask myself what if I took my life now only to return and have to start the whole series, every phase, every moment, all over again? Precisely like when you die in a video game and have to return to the first level. This theory would often stop these thoughts for me because I couldn't even bear to think about going through the same pain over & over again. At this point in my life I have come to Love even those things that were once painful and hard to grip for they have only brought me to this path I am on now. I have learned so much from turmoil & traumatic experience that there's no reason at all not to love it or appreciate it for it was a true experience that only ultimately helped me see the beauty of God that lies in everything.
