Good question! And here's a good question for you: How often do you need interaction with your thoughts? As you soon will see, thoughts are not needed most of the times. In the beginning, it may feel strange but I promise that the more you observe and the more you have your meditation-sessions, the more clear this will get. At the same time allow yourself to think. Get to know yourself. Think about your own questions with great focus and intention. What you want to do in the end is to find out where all thoughts come from. Enjoy and relax. You have found your own way so keep on going -

Everyone is enlightend here but I really like @Joseph Maynor‘s point. If someone knows the Truth it is better to explain it in the simplest way possible. If only you know then what’s the point? we all have the responsibility to share the truth in the most effective way we can and not condem others who is doing the same. Different people listen to different teachers -

I like your tone. much love <3 -
@Isaac Ben You will never go away! Sometimes when Leo talk it can seem that you have to literally die and you will not be there. If you completely disappeared you would pass out and have no experience at all. It seems like you are looking for something other than you. You experience yourself all the time and you will experience yourself even on psychedelics. Do less and don't look for something special. Be who you are <3

It's normal and it's good! I agree that this seems to be the most important thing to know oneself. Stay with it and relax. All is well ?❤️ -

It's normal but it's not complete. If you know Truth then you take the chance to make a better world for you and for others. Why you feel lack of motivation is because your are still stuck in the other side of life called "nothingness". Don't stay there to long because nothing ever happens there ?❤️ -

How do you think it should be? At least Leo is honestly saying that he is a seeker and that's good enough! -

It was during a retreat and there you don't drink or eat so much With practice every day for long time it's not that hard. Strong determination is in my opinion very powerful so you're doing great! -
cirkussmile replied to SaltyMeatballs's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I think it's better to do many one hour sittings and be conscious between the sittings. Once I did 3 hours of strong determination but I don't know if that was better than doing 3 hours with small breaks in-between. ? -

@Prabhaker I never heard the stories like that about the Buddha and Jesus. But we all have to go though challenges and hard decisions to come out on the other side of suffering. In the end it is necessary and we will always hurt someone on our way to freedom. It's the qualities of love, compassion, good will and service that makes them so popular. The act of selflessness is what makes a Buddha. The compassion Jesus shows when he is crucified is what makes him Jesus. These qualities is our nature and if we don't develop them just a little then enlightenment is useless for mankind. It's not about you. -
That was beautiful! Much love ❤️?

Do you experience happiness and love? ❤️?❤️ -
The ultimate power lies in being completely active in serving others and society and br completely detach from it. That way beliefs and self development goes hand in hand with enlightenment. Enlightenment is not one side of the spectrum ?

@Nahm I feel you have years and years of experience. Wise old man ?❤️ I stumbled across this from a vipassana teacher. “It is a basic human need that everyone wants to live a happy life. For this, one has to experience real happiness. The so-called happiness that one experiences by having money, power, and indulging in sensual pleasures is not real happiness. It is very fragile, unstable and fleeting. For real happiness, for lasting stable happiness, one has to make a journey deep within oneself and get rid of all the unhappiness stored in the deeper levels of the mind. As long as there is misery at the depth of the mind all attempts to feel happy at the surface level of the mind prove futile.” ~S.N. Goenka -

When people ask "How do I end..." We can say do nothing or we can say meditation ? -
cirkussmile replied to Faceless's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yes. Good! I love that and different people listen to different messages. In the end it's clear that there is no path! But then people asking HOW do I get that? But most importantly... How do we live a life that has qualities like Jesus or the Buddha? How do we continue life after awakening? -
cirkussmile replied to Faceless's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I like the Rupert Spiral analogy. "Stand up and take a step towards yourself" Where do you go or do you stand still or does it matter? There is no path but we have to walk it and examine it from our Own direct experience. The Truth is the same but two persons never take the same path to get it. -
See you there, I guess ?

My dear friend. You have a lot of information what meditation implies. "Seeing what is". So far I don't see what you are asking if non of the answers is valid to you. Have you tried techniques of meditation yourself? Vipassana for example. -
You don't have to do anything. You are filled with emotion and that's OK! Just because you feel emotion doesn't mean you have to act on them. Meditation will help you with this. Meditation is practicing something else than intelectual knowledge and thought loops.

Please tell me. How can you understand this if you don't have the ability to look wthitin? If you imply that meditation is useless than you are sharing a belief of yours. Only meditation may help or it may not. As you know, there's infinite aspects that makes a realisation happen. -
cirkussmile replied to Faceless's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
No one said meditation is a movement of thought ? At least if done properly. Meditation is the opposite of thought and doing. It's observing what is and get direct experience of the impermanence of all things. And as Prabhaker said, it lays the foundation for realization to happen. How can you give tips on stopping psychological time when you didn't do it yourself? It just happened. Meditation can make that happen if practiced correctly with awareness and equanimity.
