  1. Lol, no. Its a biological disease. Do you have a cure for dementia too?
  2. Their are also structural differences in their brains compared to "normal" people, much like Alzheimer's.
  3. Couldn't a Christian God produce this illusion that you are experiencing to test your faith?
  4. I think it's based on the individual. There will always be someone better and everything is changing. There will be better golfers than Tiger Woods, even though he was best in his time. I think the truth comes in that once you hit 10k hours, you probably came close to your personal peak (obviously the hours may vary depending on what we are talking about).
  5. It sounds like you want to, so why not? If you have a short temper, they can help you figure out how to reduce that.
  6. I find that willpower rarely works for most people. Most people can will themselves for a diet or lifestyle change, but usually end up going back to old habits and putting the weight back on. I think working on your emotional state by either reading, watching and embodying videos such as Leo's, or seeking professional psychological help is the way to go. Also, go slow on the diet and only include changes that you will do for the rest of your life. Concentrate on diet more than exercise.
  7. Poker Player..mostly internet right now. I did a four year stint in the military, was an accountant, and a few classes short of my masters. I love poker though, but just need to bring love to the game in some form since its a fairly selfish profession. I might be able to help a few degen gamblers turn it around or something along those lines.
  8. Pick the topic you are weakest at, such as Emotions, Happiness, Confidence, Life Skills, and start watching some of those under the appropriate category. I would stay away from watching too many enlightenment videos (something I did and wasted too much thought on) unless you are emotionally ready and plan on taking some psychadelics. Make sure to embody it, and try to take a break for a week or so here and there and work on what you learned from the videos.
  9. Nice video, I have a friend who had one year of residency left from becoming a doctor and quit to become a cashier and father. He is much happier this way.
  10. Millet Stuffed Peppers, I had 3 of these (550 calories or so) and was very full. https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/75785/millet-stuffed-peppers/?internalSource=recipe hub&referringId=1661&referringContentType=Recipe Hub&clickId=cardslot 110 I agree, Leo's soup is very good, but I would cut down on the oil if I made it again - just a personal preference.
  11. This guy is great, there is always an upbeat positive tone is his videos...
  12. Leo actually says in one of his videos that he changes his mind quite often, I'm sure most of us do (That is a sign of growth). Don't take every one of his teachings and treat it like gospel, I'm sure he wouldn't recommend that at all. Both of his points are valid and they might apply to your life in different times. There is no right answer - way too many variables.
  13. You say you have to keep going back and forth to a job within a meaningless existence, and the only alternative you can think of is suicide? Why not just pack a light backpack and start walking if you are so lost. Maybe you will find something that is more meaningful. Maybe you will run into something that is great, or something might click.
  14. If you are willing to put in the work, you can change your mindset. You will realize that looks don't matter nearly as much as you think they do, and that there are many autistic people that are very successful. I would start with Leo's video on how to stop being a victim. There are a lot of people that can help you here. Also try to get professional help as soon as you can, its important to have someone to talk to in real life in combination of what you learn about. You will overcome your obstacles, and once you do, you will be an inspiration because you made the most out of the hand you were dealt with.
  15. I've watched this video a couple times, since I've had the same problem. Helped tremendously.
  16. Usually its the type of post where someone is overly confident in themselves (whether fake or not), making a bold statement that doesn't make much sense to me. Most of the time its the type of threads that are repetitive, and aren't getting a lot of attention from others. I seem to not be able to let it go. I've always had a low-self esteem...is it that I'm jealous of that perceived confidence? Or what else could it be...
  17. Ok, so now after digging deep, I think my true self is actually not "know-it-alls" but...wanting to be the center of attention....these are the personalities that I don't like, such as my mother, some past co-workers, etc. Is this possible? I don't want to be that. Before I was 6, thats the way I was apparently, a "ham". Then some shit happened around that time. Turned shy, introverted, never knew what to say, etc. Not overnight, but gradually after a few years. Then in high school discovered alcohol. I turned into that center of attention for a few hours. Then I drank for many years (recently sober again). My ego is all fucked up, but recovering. Do I have to be the center of attention to be my true self? Can there be some middle ground? FCK.... I'm seeing someone for this, but want to speed up the process and make sure they are doing it right.
  18. If you believe its infinite, isn't Leo being able to do this one of the possibilities? (as well as him being deluded)
  19. I know that my 60+ year old parents would have the same reaction to me if I just brought up just the basics of spirituality. It would be silly for myself to shoot down something that I personally can't understand, and could possibly be beyond me. Just my two cents.
  20. Well I guess you will feel more anxious for the next hour or so... j/k. Yeah this sounds right though. It seems way easier on the mind to be open minded and try to at least take something from their side of view. Also, arguing in general is a strain.

  22. No. I was about to post something in someone else's thread that was probably negative, but stopped myself and tried to look inward. Trying to find peace...
