  1. @Aeris Why do you judge them like this? Aren't you still a slave?
  2. Don't get deluded by the devils, but also don't judge them, as judging doesn't lead to any growth on your side
  3. Good, but don't forget to keep training yourself to be able to contribute others better and to have a sharper mind when needed. Also be careful not to become addicted to that stuff you're taking.
  4. @Aeris One of the best things it gives you is, that you are no longer a slave of your cravings.
  5. @Vitamine Water Yeh, that might do the trick
  6. It is very interesting, how one's confidence with the language they are speaking at the moment can affect their behavior so bigly. (I love that word Heard it for the first time here, thanks ) I've seen this quite attractive Italian girl, who you would assume is confident, but she only was when speaking Italian! She became a completely different person when she was speaking English with me.
  7. @Salvijus Everything is very simple, when you get it. The problem is to find it Sometimes it is hard for us to go back in time and feel the other person's struggle.
  8. @Salvijus Q: I personally don't understand what is meant by this observing thoughts. A: Just observe them, then use your intuition and you will do just good. @Ampresus Your mind is like water and thoughts are waves. There are no waves without water and there is no water without waves. By trying to stop waves, you will only create more waves on the surface.
  9. @Salvijus I get what you mean, but lol still. @Consilience What is your body posture like? What are your intentions? Are you actually aware?
  10. @Ampresus You are expecting presence to come to you in the future, you are bullshitting yourself big time
  11. @Joker_Theory Zazen is what I do. But it also depends on how you practice. Don't expect Wakeness to come to you in the future
  12. @EnlightenmentBlog I am not using it this way. It is obviously not true, that it is the ultimate key to everything, you are absolutely right. Where is the discouraging?
  13. @inFlow Yeh, I understand what you mean. Let's just say that Nahm has a different idea about what is practical. After some time, you understand, that these mind games are not practical. You will feel like saying things in the lines of: Should I take a break from this path, or should I push harder? Answer to that would be: Who is taking a break? Who is pushing harder? You get what I mean, right. In case you want a practical answer, do as it suits you the best. Make sure, that you understand and embody all the things that will bring your career to the next level. Only finishing the course might tick a task off of your list, but it is practically „useless“. If you go through it quickly, without making sure that you have grasped all the improtant things fully, you would've wasted your money. This same concept applies to the spiritual path as well, have mystical experiences, but interpret them well and act on them. You can either get mystical experiences and than proudly sit on your ass, without contributing society and tell everyone what to do, or you can also just live in love, compassion and discipline, be there for people when they need you, do your best in this life
  14. @Joker_Theory I know what you mean, but you cannot grasp it intellectually from the ego mind I think. It is basically Wakeness trying to convince itself, that it isn't Wakeness and trusting itself blindly Think of it this way, the Universe is like a big living organism, that is constructed from small cells, aka humans, planets, galaxies... in the same way as this body is constructed from the heart, the brain, stomach etc... Is the stomach not a part of you? Can you say, that the brain is you and the stomach is not you at the same time? I think this could be a useful metaphor for you. Zen is practice, not a theory. You can study all these concepts, they can surely help you understand yourself a bit better, they can save you some time, warn you about certain traps, but they are not it. The teacher opens the door, you walk through it. You have to actually sit in zazen everyday. You can read a book as a supplement after your meditation, like Zen mind: beginner's mind by Shunryu Suzuki. 1 chapter everyday after your session, otherwise you won't understand a single word that is written in it
  15. @flowboy Oh I see now Thanks.
  16. @Vitamine Water Maybe talking about how you are keeping yourself away from watching porn and giving others advice about no-fap actually makes you relapse. I rarely talk about no-fap, because this always happens to me (as well).
  17. @flowboy For me this happens naturally, I am not looking for anything, I just like to see people happy.
  18. One of my friends really helped me in conversation skills by asking me „What do you mean?“ everytime he felt like I am not telling the whole truth or that I am not expressing myself concisely enough. This can really help a lot. Also as the other people say, go from trying to teach, trying to impress, to trying to be taught, trying to entertain.
  19. @Aeris When Leo returns from his retreat, he might ban you for saying this, just saying.
  20. @Joker_Theory Try to find something you fear, or something that is bothering you in your dreams. I sometimes have nightmares, that are caused by my mind trying to deceive me, but on the other hand, if I cut through all that bullshit, I can see for example like oh, I died in that dream, because my old self is affraid to die! Oh, I see what you did there, mind! And then you can face this fear, in this case contemplate your death for example, go straight to the root and cut it. I don't know if this is legit, scientific or proven, but it works for me at least, so why not try it, right? Maybe you are just confused from all the advice, because it is either contradictory to you, or you have too little direct experience, so you cannot really understand it.... Try digging deeper into this, think for yourself, nobody can solve your problems.
  21. @Joker_Theory You absolutely don't get it Zen is a path to immediate awakening, not to awakening in the future. How can something, that doesn't even exist, block something, that does exist?
  22. @Moreira How do you know?
