  1. @okulele doesn’t Dharma mean Truth? Because that changes the whole context of the quote above. if truth (relative) = perception, then Truth (Ultimate) = truth - perception or something like that, I’m bad at math ?
  2. @OBEler I didn’t, I just sat down and started meditating like I normally do and then WAM! I didn’t even know what Kundalini was till about a year later when I read a book off of the booklist.
  3. @Nahm @Michael Paul in my experience with Kundalini the “Dark Moments” came days later in the form of what I would describe as a major ego backlash. Consciousness regression, emotional degradation, depression, anxiety and a feeling of hopelessness. Lasted a few weeks but eventually I climbed out of it before the next mountain presented itself. This work is like a roller coaster. The kundalini experience itself was amazing, it felt rapturous and blissful. The danger for me was that I noted my first Kundalini experience as the day I hit the point of no return. After this I knew there was nothing else for me besides pursuing truth. I couldn’t go back to living life as knew it before, I had seen what I needed to see to flip the switch I guess.
  4. @Leo Gura you outgrew your viewers man, we can’t keep up. Give us a break, a lot of us are trying and really want it but it’s hard.
  5. For people who are on the meditation path and need help or guidance navigating. Also a place where we can get less nondual advice as it rarely pertains to meditation practice. This would be for coping with life as a serious truth seeker and ego destroyer. For example: Talking about infinity does absolutely no good to someone one year into mediation (or even year 2-3). The mods are all giving stage turquoise advice to stage green and lower. I say we get some stage green/ yellow mods who can really get down to our level and give us advice from a more relative perspective.
  6. @The Don this is one of my biggest criticisms of Leo and this organization. He promotes hardcore meditation practice, yoga and enlightenment work but fails to truly educate us in the symptoms and fallout. I’m not saying he’s never mentioned these things but in my opinion not enough. psychedelics are Leo’s path, and he’s a good resource for that but in my opinion he’s not a good meditation teacher. I would look elsewhere for advice on serious meditation practices.
  7. @dimitri gracias, same to you homie ??
  8. @dimitri Homeboy says 5meo is the “see god” drug.. not sure if mushies will do it. During the recent facets of awakening video he mentions that certain psychedelics produce different insights into the facets of reality. Like MDMA for love, LSD for understanding oneness and 5meo to get the “god head” or whatever. Shrooms tend to work on the emotional level for me, and like I said I’ve never realized that I’m god. In fact I’ll be skeptical until I realize it myself because I question EVERYTHING!
  9. @dimitri I’ve heard about a million times now that I am god but I cant truly understand it until I experience it myself. So I stopped caring. I’d advise you stop as well bc even though it’s a big insight, it means nothing if you don’t actually have the insight. Also you should know that the majority of the people on this forum also have no idea what god is and have no direct experience. The ones that do have the insight from psychedelics, so there ya go.
  10. What are you dark knights like in terms of symptoms? How long do they last typically? Curious bc I’m going through quite a lot this year and they’re always random. (For reference I meditate for 1yr day, 15 min self inquiry before - 4 years solid no misses) Mine last anywhere from a half a day to 2 weeks with the average being 3-7 days. Symptoms are intense: - suicidal thoughts (normally I’m extremely happy) - depression, anxiety - irritability and anger (rage sometimes) normally I’m laid back and emotionally mature - no sex drive (normally I can’t keep my hands of my girlfriend) - severe lack of motivation and energy (this one destroys me as I’m super athletic and ambitious) Does anyone else have reoccurring symptoms or anything weird that happens like really odd behavior?
  11. @fridjonk I would warm up to 5MEO with some mushies, or LSD. I would also be sure you have a meditation practice installed and are fairly high up the spiral. Good luck ??
  12. @Raptorsin7 ill let ya know in a few years
  13. @7thLetter I started a personal training business out of my house (garage). I had no money and was in debt at the time. I scraped together bits and pieces of used equipment on Craigslist. My gf is a graphic designer and helped me with marketing and building my website. I took a year while I was building up my business and implemented a workout routine and diet for myself that would put me above all the competition (even in a fit city like Austin) I got in amazing shape and I drew clients in with my experience and “practice what you preach” philosophy. I never worked so hard at anything in my life. Now I’m about to quit all of it and start life coaching ?
  14. @ethanb121 you’re mad at your dad not me, I forgive you. ? Name that movie!
  15. @John Iverson I’ve used weed for meditation for years now but in your case I don’t think it’s a good fit. I’m a proponent of marijuana use in this regard but not for ADHD, it’s seems to me that it would be more of a detriment then a positive thing for you. Especially if you’re new to weed. Leo says that there are better things to overcoming ADHD and he’s right. Proper diet (this is huge), exercise, yoga, meditation. These are what you want. As for Kratom, I’ve tried that too. It’s basically a legal opiate and you will feel euphoric on it. Meaning you will get high and it has withdrawals just like opiates. At least it did for me. Also I found kratom to be a “dirty high” - your head a cloudy and you don’t feel so great in your body.
  16. @John Iverson I wouldn’t do it. And I definitely would not try Kratom. That’s even more addicting. Unless you’re extremely mature and disciplined, I wouldn’t try weed.
  17. @SelfHelpGuy this is kinda a low quality question but I’ll help you out anyway. Try being more specific next time, this is why people haven’t responded. The decision to be financially independent was one of the scariest and hardest things I’ve ever done. I left all security and success behind to pursue autonomy with my work. I knew I couldn’t have a boss telling me what to do ever again, so one day I walked into my bosses office and quit without notice, that was it. The second hardest thing is feeling like a failure when you’re starting out bc it’s a SLOW process. Your mind will want to compare you to everyone else and it’s going to drive you mad. So be aware it’s coming and stay focused on the big picture. Lastly, uncertainty is my biggest mental burden. Especially in the beginning, you have no idea what’s coming next month or if you can afford to do anything. It’s emotionally brutal, definitely the hardest part of going independent. You have nobody else to rely on but you, zero excuses! I went 2 years without medical insurance or a vacation just barely making rent and bills. BUT!! It’s all definitely worth it. I’d do it all again if I had to. Not to mention it’s rally hard to self actualize when you’re working a low consciousness corporate or service job. Being self employed gives you all kinds of freedoms that really helps with this work. Hope it works out for you ?? Just don’t give up! You’re going to want to give up like ever other day lol. But don’t!
  18. @Nahm ?
  19. Sounds like you’re in the first Jhana and you’re experiencing a mystical phenomena at the A&P stage (arising and passing away). I get these energy sensations sort of like you described in all my meditations now. In fact they start with them. The moment I close my eyes my whole body explodes into waves of energy, then eventually I’m off into the other Jhanas. That’s been happening for about 1.5 years now. Your concentration is maturing and getting more refined yes. Crazy shit happens when the mind loses things to put its awareness on. These sensations feel very real to me and I can even feel them sometimes when I focus throughout the day or if I’m contemplating or doing self inquiry. But I’m not certain if it’s “brain level” maybe someone else can help us out here? This is how you grow man ?? It’s crazy how far this shit goes. All the insights you need to self actualize and discover your true Self is right there waiting for you in the silence. Keep going man!!
  20. @peterspike same, I have a buddy who has a 5meo vape pen and hits it at least once a month. He has no clue what spirituality is or such terms as enlightenment.
  21. @Raptorsin7 Hey man, we just talked about weed yesterday... Maybe this is a side effect of you smoking too much? Like I was saying if you overdo it with joints and are smoking all day you’re going to feel like shit and have no energy to do anything but stoner shit (YouTube, no exercise, bad food). If you’ve been smoking more than usual you need to stop for a while. Your energy will come back in a couple days but you have to stop and deal with the negative side effects like you mentioned above.
  22. @ivory that happens to most people. Like I mentioned above, vaping high quality trees will eliminate the crash. Also stay very hydrated.
