Answer to that is simple. You do what you want to do. Live how you want to live. With meaninglessness you could say why bother but you could also say why not. That's the beauty of it.

Everybody else pretty much nailed it but man that stuff happens all the time. I've had drunk friends cry on my leg about their home life. I've had drunk friends stumble around and me have to carry them half naked to the bathroom. I've been the drunk friend that passes out and vomits on the floor as people try to make sure I don't choke then gets carried to a bathtub. I've been that drunk friend that vomits all over the couch. Anybody with experience with alcohol will probably have been on both sides like I have. And that's why it is no problem. Because all of us understand. And through that you look out for one another. Yeah you'll get a few prods over your funny drunk stories but you aren't the first or the last who will have such memorable nights.

Sounds like you should be having sex less instead of trying to give into your desire everytime it appears. Be content with just being horny. Or else you'll become a slave to your sex drive. Sounds like you have some kind of victim or pessimist complex since you jump to degrading yourself when she doesn't want sex.

I've had similar scares of the ego when on intense doses of psychedelics. Even just a taste of dmt instilled fear into the ego because it was on the brink of death. The growth by overcoming those fears is kind of like a reward don't you think?

Spiritual and empathetic aren't binary values. It is a whole journey of progression. From what I see is these groups take legitimate issues and it ends up radicalized twisted and corrupted because they identify and obsess with it so anything in disagreement makes you a personal enemy and attacker of their 'good cause' Then you can't even have a discussion about those legit issues because the anti sides of those groups assume you are talking about the radicalized form of it. Take the Gillette ad. Toxic masculinity I acknowledge as a thing but radical feminist groups has spun it off to be all of masculinity so people assume Gillette is appealing to this version of it and hate it. I treated it as a shoe fits thing. It's really a huge game of labels and wording. Today we use the same words to point to very nuanced things and I the communication failing more and more. Or we can't have a female in anything without an assumption it's sjw appealing. And a lot of times it's nothing but a cosmetic change.

This. What I see in a lot of people is the wound is stitched ready to start healing then they do something and it rips the stitches out so it bleeds then rinse and repeat.

What is suffering? Is it the pain itself or the perception of pain? Can it be modified? I got a glimpse of pain perceptions when as a kid I discovered I could use mind to raise my pain tolerance. Now imagine what a highly disciplined monk could do!

You'll be led to veganism if its meant for you and when it is. Don't be inauthentic about it. No its just a limited perspective. People can switch between relative and absolute viewpoints but it takes time to integrate them both into a more holistic viewpoint.

This is all hear and no direct experience, but I didn't really think much of wheat until my grandparents who came to visit me just was talking to me and mentioned how their life improved by removing wheat from their diet. They had read a lot against it and after extensive testing they saw good results. They appear very healthy and full of life so I listened as it seems they embody what they preach with health. Surely there is an alternative for whatever they think wholewheat is giving you that is benefiting you to let you experiment, You are gonna have to try it for yourself and see how your body reacts.

Is Thanos not projecting his ideal state of the world on everybody? i'd think a turquoise to be a lot more accepting of the current state of the world.
