  1. Yeah if you don't quit this it'll backfire on you. You'll become ideological. Which it seems like you already are to some degree. Especially if you are 'dependent' on 'HIS' ideology.
  2. Use a specific theory as a means to transcend that theory. Its like transcending the ego, you may now have the perspective of no-ego but you still retain the perspective of ego.
  3. Of course. It largely depends on you. As I started experimenting with various substances I found I could handle it exceptionally well. Now the 1000ug experience I mentioned was so intense I experienced a large degree of resistance including some urge to vomit and being in another world was quite jarring but the #1 thing that got me through every experience whether it was DMT, Salvia, DXM, LSD etc was to BREATHE. If its getting intense focus on your breathe and nothing else. This helped me tremendously to surrender. Also positive encouragement like "I got this" helps too. You just gotta flow with it.
  4. Wouldn't say so. They just appear and I remember them. The only thing I seek answers is out of raw curiosity. But its not needed. Maybe ill want it if I encounter a problem that stumps me. But this is off topic.
  5. @Joseph Maynor This is some good shit, thanks for this post.
  6. Yeah sounds like you needed a lot more personal development to even think about this goal. Going for a goal on a rocky foundation will most likely backfire.
  7. Doesn't matter what is satisfactory or not. Are you seeking answers just to masturbate to it? If an answer appears true and is not satisfactory do you deny it? Have you experienced infinity in any capacity? It is truly a wondrous thing.
  8. All delusions contain some kind of truth. The problem here is trying to figure out truth is via thought. You are truth in of itself. This immediately comes before thought as it resides in the layer of pure being, pure existence itself. This is why it can't ever be fully encompassed by thought.
  9. I get this too if I end up smoking a lot of weed. I just attributed it to weed being very stimulating for me so I ignore it. Usually feels like a shiver like when you are cold but hardly controllable. I just watch TV or something and let it happen.
  10. They are the same thing. Contemplate on this more. Especially on what being 'connected' is. Looks like you have some assumptions of what its suppose to entail.
  11. This definitely can happen but I do want to throw in my experience which didn't go bad to see both spectrums. I had taken 1000ug this particular night when my highest dose prior was 500ug. Dumb move but I have no regrets. A lot of it was being glued to the floor seeing incomprehensible things but it was probably the end of the peak into the come down there was nothing but pure bliss. No sense of self accompanied with pure oneness and it was an absolute amazing feeling. There was no resistance only surrender.
  12. The whole point of an illusion is to seem real. In fact real and illusion are one in the same. Although you must consider there not only is absolute truth, there is relative truth. You can't deny this relative experience despite knowing the absolute truth of it. You as an ego are an illusion interacting with other illusion. And thats fine. Accept that. There's nothing wrong with enjoying the illusion. You're here so might as well make the best of it. I think reading the Kyballion might be of aid for you in helping acknowledge the relative. There's free pdfs of it online. Think of a single computer creating AIs as intelligent as whats in star trek. Different 'beings' but created by the same thing. Humans really are just computers with self re-programming abilities. We are the self-aware AI we fear so much! Of course be wary of what realizations you ask for, too much is scary for the ego
  13. Absolutely nothing. The only thing connecting it is itself. You are asking this question from the perspective of the ego. I would not think there would be a ripple effect. You seem to be considering some linear causation. What are YOU and what am I? I may not be able to perceive your experience and you may not be able to perceive mine but the same thing is responsible and perceiving both of our experiences. Nonduality contains duality. Getting stabbed causes a reaction inside the body, of pain and so on. It does affect everything outside of it, but not as dramatically as you think.
  14. This feels like one of those threads where people are just talking sharing information but each person keeps grasping at some argument to refute when there is none.
  15. Separate yet connected at the same time. Unity contains all separation inside of it. Its simply a different perspective of the same thing. Nonduality isn't meant to replace duality but see where the duality is contained.
  16. Be careful to not think of separation and unity in a dualistic way. It does both, simultaneously.
  17. Affirmations aren't the only thing you should do but are helpful. Do you know why affirmations are even recommended? Because it puts intent into your subconscious which primarily work on repetition. How you think is a habit just like anything else in life.
  18. This actually seems fully in the realm of topical information for the OP. And based on what was said the difference may not be accurately described as 'amplify' as if you could get there through book practice itself.
  19. tl;dr The primary way to change the subconscious mind is repetition. Repetition is how it learns what is important in life. The more you use it the more you need it. Negative stories of the mind is a habit you have created, and breaking habits are always hard. It breaks homeostasis that the body tries so hard to preserve. I experienced this a lot during early high school where being positive or happy was uncomfortable because my default state was negativity.
  20. Maybe not one required to practice it, but to do it properly and get the full intended effects? Maybe.
  21. Ask yourself that instead of asking us.
  22. @Salvijus Are you speaking from direct experience of this? If kriya yoga is so restrictive in that way makes you wonder how it even originated them. Someone had to not have a teacher.
  23. You really don't. Be careful to not create this dependence on him. Have confidence in your path.
