@Preety_India I've never seen Leo so emotional in a video. You know what, I think it was love. That was the thing that got me. It wasn't just any emotion, you could tell he was just completely in awe of the love he'd experienced and feeling it again
-
@dimitri I really felt this. I had the same experience when I bought a bicycle again recently. You forget how exhilarating it is don't you, and how much more you can explore. I also like the actual 'skill' of it, becoming more at one with the bike, like it's an extension of your body, taking nifty little shortcuts etc

@Preety_India I agree, this was an amazing one wasn't it. I feel like I've had a shift in consciousness just from watching it. Maybe it had something to do with how authentic and emotional Leo was.

Important to do what you know you're gonna enjoy to some extent I think, to build that willpower muscle. Then once you've limbered up through walking, you might feel more inspired with the yoga. I like Leo's 'Kaizen' theory of manageable, incremental improvements.

@Villager Albert Many thanks for this list. Seems like creating routines and rituals is major. -

@Villager Albert Any good tips on limiting decision fatigue? -

@Erick I like this, thank you. I think this is what I've been missing, sharing an emotional connection that's beyond just lust. I've been so preoccupied with it, almost like it's taken me over. Sometimes I wonder whether it's just my way of showing love. I guess there are many ways to do that though, and variety is key -
If consciousness is always evolving then could it be that every situation that occurs is happening to grow you somehow? I feel this could be the case and recently I've been finding every interaction I have with women on dating apps to trigger me somehow. But it's always the same thing happening, precisely the same thing each time. Either or all of the following happens? -They ask me 'what do you do.' Or they're just very interested in my employment status. -They ask 'Do you live alone?' -They call psychedelics 'drugs' -They refer to me as 'weird.' -Telling me I over-analyse things I've only started having these mad synchronicities since doing LSD last year. A woman popped up tonight and it was like she was reeling them off in sequence. Maybe though, this shit is normal and the pattern exists for another reason. But I've had other weird stuff happen. Do you think God is trying to unmask the shadow? And highlight what needs to be worked on? If it's all loving, it could be the case. It's funny as I'm quite chilled and not that many things phase me (I think), so the fact that these particular gems keeps appearing is interesting. I'm aware of how the mind like to create stories and meaning of course, but I swear I've had mad synchronicities since tripping. Anyone else found this? Maybe it's mystical experiences in general that do it. I think the universe it trying to tell me I'm not ready to be dating, that I need to work on myself more.

@actualizing25 You can concentrate on the Third eye to unlock it. Keep your eyes lifted up towards it and concentrate on the spot between your eyebrows. Eventually you should see a white light. I got this from a Kriya Yoga book on Leo's booklist. There are some breathing exercises in there that you can do to quieten the mind a bit first -

Glad I'm not the only one then Such a gift isn't it. Sometimes I do despair at the sheer persistence of it, but it's a beautiful mechanism. Having this outlook also allows you to see everything as perfection. It's like you're viewing every event as being inspired by love Well maybe I exaggerated the 'weird' thing a bit as it had just happened to me, but the others, no doubt, they keep coming up. I for sure come across as weird sometimes though haha, for various reasons that I won't go into. I have considered this. It's what I need to figure out really. I do need to look at my values a bit and how I'm approaching women. Not sure if I've watched Leo's dating videos, I'll take a look. I've only been chasing sex really but I'm bored of it and want a partner. Problem is now I'm obsessed with the physical side of things and don't know how to get excited about other aspects of a relationship. -
Yes, a great a technique you can use is 'intention setting.' So, when you're about to do something you view as abhorrent or bad you can affirm the light in it instead. For example, if junk food is your thing, you say, may every bite of this hotdog free every child slave from emancipation. May every swig on this cherryade liberate every soul from self-loathing and bring them into their highest vibrational timeline. So, you're reprogramming your mind to see the perfection in every action. You are affirming the light, as the light that you are. You are God, chewing on a BBQ rib. Then afterwards you say 'May this bloated sensation in my stomach allow every soul to be bloated with abundance.' I think a big part of the suffering caused by addiction, and something that even feeds into it, is the shame we feel at doing it, and what we say to ourselves about why we're doing it. This is a great video on intention setting: Just remember, God can choose to be an addict that feels shit about it, or an addict that sees the behaviour as beautiful divine perfection. Try the latter and see how your experience changes. If a voice said 'this is bullshit,' then that's the next thing in line to be loved and declared as the light.

Can you locate a feeling of peace and relaxation in your experience, when you try? What would you say happiness feels like? Have you felt it before? You don't have to answer me directly, just saying, happiness can be located if we look, if we create it. The spiral only goes upwards brother. It might not feel like it sometimes of course. You are being moved into a place of deeper self love through being forced to sit lovingly with the parts of yourself you've had trouble accepting. Hear them out, offer them words of love. There's a voice that says this moment is not enough somehow. Give that love. Tell it that it's right. Allow everything you think to be right. This restores everything to divine perfection. You seem to have some fear around being gay, brought on by your early experience. I'd think you'd know if you were gay bro. You don't fancy guys, you said it yourself. You and your buddy were just experimenting. You're probably not enjoying sex because you have this fear lodged in your head that'll it means you're gay if you don't. That's distracting you. The key is to probably not give a damn if you are gay. Sure that could take some work, but it's possible. Also, you do find women attractive, right? Then you're at least bi You didn't say why you think you're having less sex with your partner.... Ok this is what happened to me in my last relationship. See if any of it rings true. She reminds you of your pain, of your negative self image, because you perceive that she views you like that, that she sees you in that way now. She reflects back your pain to you. You feel kind of embarrassed to not be happy around her, like it's somehow shameful. She sees your vulnerability and it hurts you because men are taught they should be powerful. So being with her is increasing your shame. It like someone has a front row seat to your suffering. It's hard enough suffering alone but having an audience is brutal. Ask yourself if you'd honestly be happier single. The answer might be tough to bare, but your gut instinct will always be right. You might have too much history there now to repair things properly. Would you want to start having sex with her every day again, if you could?

@Strangeloop Maybe you'll be the one fucking your bf in the ass and he'll be sucking your cock. You'll have to see how it pans out when you experiment. Have lots of fun
-
@Javfly33 You could have a nice experience, if you pay relatively good money for someone you're attracted to and who's nice. Prostitutes are human too and I'd imagine they enjoy sex. Open your mind to the possibility that you could do it and have the time of your life and not regret a thing. I'm not saying waiting and doing it with someone you haven't paid for, whoever that is, wouldn't have it's benefits, but I can definitely see the benefit of paying for a pro. Just a side note too, I think you're better off not doing pick up. Women can smell it on you when you're just after sex. Also, it's not a stress free life style, especially if you have a strong conscience. Better to get a good woman and start a family, then you'll have sex all the time and you'll be happier.

So what you guys are saying is, we do have Free Will, it's just not the free will of a separate self? But, for all intents and purposes, free will does exist? This feels right to me as I can have the experience of setting an intention. That's in my direct experience. God must be a creator right? Surely to have free will is to be a creator. At the same time there are things happening that feel outside of my control. Perhaps with more consciousness you can see how you're actually creating everything constantly, like Leo says. -
Wisebaxter replied to Brivido's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Brivido Ah dude, thanks for posting that. I felt my heart chakra being activated as I was reading it. I totally agree that we need to answer everything with love. Set love as our intention every time. Love every part of ourselves and re-integrate the shadow. Your words expressed it perfectly. That must have been a hell of a trip -
Wisebaxter replied to Hugo Oliveira's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Ah this is the key then, remaining conscious when you have the thought. I can't really do that. I become the thought straight away. I guess more meditation is needed, where I focus on watching my thoughts come and go.. -
Wisebaxter replied to Hugo Oliveira's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@James123 That's awesome dude, and very helpful, thank you. So being aware of the body grounds you in your present moment experience. And you just remain as that thing which is aware, not the object itself. If something enters my awareness, like a thought, i.e an object, I can get lost in it. Then I have a sensation of 'remembering I'm supposed to be doing something. This encourages the idea of a separate me almost, that's 'doing something.' Should I just let that sensation and thought go and just 'be' again? @Hugo Oliveira Like you i'm curious about what eventually flip-flops. Seems like it can't be explained with words though and if we're thinking about it or try to 'know' what it's like we're missing it somehow. I may stick to psychedelics haha. I'm wondering right now if they're the best tool like Leo says. I did just start a thread asking that -
Wisebaxter replied to Hugo Oliveira's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Thanks So you're saying, just focus on the sense of 'I am,' with no other thoughts present. Is it ok to have that question 'what is that?' keep coming up, if it helps? Maybe it helps you keep focus. -
Wisebaxter replied to Hugo Oliveira's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Nahm That's where I always get tripped up, thinking I've got it because I've figured it out intellectually. Then I realise I'm just stuck in another idea @Preetom So you mean it's about getting rid of the 'I thought' as Ramana Maharshi called it? That seems right to me. I still have an innate sense that there is something there called 'me.' -
Wisebaxter replied to freeman194673's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@freeman194673 I heard Adyashanti say, Find the eye within the storm, where all is calm. Locate that place in your body. It's your true nature. Basically, it's just relaxation and it's always available. Your nervous system is just used to being overstimulated. I like to play a game called 'becoming a sage,' where I imagine how an enlightened master would feel right now. Like you're playing a part. Then you realise you can create this experience whenever you like, and it's liberating. You will slip back of course. It's an old favourite, but resting as breath always works. The reason being, the breath is your true nature, seeing as it's always present. Mind is just an experience breath is having. These are great videos for stress. The first one is all about finding relaxation. You may not agree with what I said about the breath, but if you entertain it as an idea, you can achieve some interesting results. The breath is always nourishing. It also has the answer to any question the mind can pose, which is always, just another breath. Ask a question, then notice how the breath answers. All hail the awesomeness that is Matt Kahn haha. With his softer, more feminine approach, and Leo's more masculine approach, you have the the perfect combo for enlightenment. As for the porn thing. When you get the craving, find the area in your body where the lust takes place. It will be in the Sacral Chakra, around the groinal area. Take some nice breaths and with each out breath imagine an orange coloured light emanating outwards from this area, out into the universe and onwards towards infinity. Feel the energy slowly dissipating and the blood flowing back to other parts of your body. A great sense of calm will calm over you, of equilibrium being restored. Read up on how to balance this chakra. Get some crystals. Orange lights. Treat yourself gently. Take baths and direct love and tenderness towards this area. Mindfulness will be needed firstly, to examine the sensation before you react. Create an association in your mind between feeling the sensation and then allowing it to dissipate. If you really need sexual stimulation and release though, which is fine and healthy really, get a fleshlight and bang that without watching porn. Imagine it's your soul mate you're pounding Those things are amazing. Get an anal prostate massager too. Get in touch with you sensuality through exploration again and getting to know your body in new ways haha. Porn has fucked our imaginations. Create a romantic evening in your head, or your wildest fantasy. I'd say go for romance as it will directly counteract the detached nature of porn and get you interested in a woman's mind again. I'm about to start doing all of this myself so I'm working it out as I write. It's exactly what i need to do. I think you can jerk it as much as you like, go for it, it's just porn that I think can cause other kinds of issues. Make masturbation into a real act of self-love Here's one more thing you could try. Open your mind up to the possibility you don't even have a problem. That's just the experience you're programmed to have. What if you celebrated every time you watched porn as a celebration of beauty and purity? Set that intention, see what happens. First notice the resistance. My point is, believing you have a problem and that you're an addict, perpetuates the behaviour. Not only does it do that, but it leads to you suffering. Resistance is a tough thing to live with. Sometimes these parts of us want to be accepted and loved, integrated back to the light they've been separated from. Seen as that light. Don't feel shameful. You're God having that experience for a reason, to aid your evolution. To lead you to the realisation that everything you experience is perfection. Take away all that guilt and shame by loving it when it arises. Show it compassion. See the beauty of God on the screen as you watch that creampie happening You might find that treating yourself this way will ease some of the compulsiveness. At the very least it will lead to a nicer experience. It also blows your mind when you realise how powerful intention setting is. -
@Elton Good on you for making it happen pal. I'm still not able to kick the weed. I've just accepted it really, which eases the stress.

@Nahm I read 'Ask and it is Given' and thought it was great. I still haven't gotten around to trying out the practices though. I stumbled upon Matt Kahn shortly afterwards and have been in an intense love affair with him ever since I'll certainly dive back into Ester then at some point, having heard this from you. I've only scratched the surface. -
Wisebaxter replied to AlwaysBeNice's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@NahmAre you kidding around about Ester? I wasn't too sure. I've found some of her teachings helpful but I haven't delved that deep. I'm pretty much turned off to Law Attraction stuff nowadays. Not that I ever gave it much of a go. Always seemed a bit counter productive to imply that the present moment isn't already perfection. I'm 99% sure you're kidding. Is it the LOA stuff you don't like? Or the channelling?
