  1. oh wait here's your time thread
  2. you are not real and you are time, therefore time is not real or maybe it is, in the relative perspective, you were indeed born and will live through time until your death (then again maybe it's all an illusion) just don't go around obsessed with time as it is indeed, correct, in assuming it's illusion as it would not exist without you However i wouldn't advise you to go about assuming things either! Look into space/time in direct experience Here's a book someone wrote and shared on the forums. I read and recommend
  3. Nothing changes when you are still identified with the thoughts/emotions This is where self inquiry and awareness is needed. understanding thought/self to be all one movement Emotions guide actions. It is all part of the same movement/time
  4. There is a recognition of the negative thoughts/feelings To accept them, stay with them and observe (not judge), what is the focus of these thoughts/feelings? It is okay to feel good and to feel bad, once we can understand how these feelings come about we can more easily accept them with a deeper understanding there may be less thoughts in general (especially those relating to "i") so what's left? authentic expression
  5. Well said dude. When the nihilistic perpectice is taken to the extreme new beliefs are created, directly impacting ones daily life with a sense of hopelessness
  6. The formula in itself provides relief. An insight being in the recognition this method is no different than psychological becoming/Identity of past future the ego wants nothing more than to be able to plan its own death then define/label it
  7. @Aaron puse my method and I’ll guarantee enlightenment in less than two...
  8. i to, experiencially know what you are talking about....to put it simply, this is a result of conditioning and personality. Awesome you have begun to notice this behavior How to these obsessions relate to your identity? the thought/self and beliefs
  9. Fosho. The mind takes all the “time” it thinks it needs to attain freedom. Because in reality it can think of a million reasons why it’s not ready. The self finds pleasure in jumping through all sorts of hoops and continuously points the finger at others instead of accepting responsibility for creating all of the obstacles
  10. HA you know it...for the next few days I was in a state of shock, rationality had been thrown out the window, and i was left, just not knowing anymore. I'd say it was a brief period of psychosis and a great introduction into spirituality which begun about 6 months later after stumbling onto "the power of now" What a journey it is until it starts to dissolve away
  11. @Matt8800thanks yeah some areas will be greatly impacted by overpopulation. We will move to renewables and technological efficiency will be huge. It’s pointless to speculate what is to come as you can’t predict the technology advancements.
  12. you have not shown me any data for an increase in births, anyhow i don't care. CO2 is the cause. If you want to change the world...change yourself, it's that simple...no use worrying about the uncontrollables ill tell you what everyone should do...they should suffer until they are ready to change. people are suffering and change happening whether we believe it or not cheers mate
  13. Dude we can individually prevent pregnancy and still mate Anyhow it’s all relative/subjective. I don’t give a shit what truth you’re pointing at...you have your opinion about what will happen and it’s not Truth
  14. @Charlottethank you for sharing this experience! It reminds me of when I first took mushrooms. I was in the place of ‘well I’ve accumulated so much knowledge about this and that, I have an open mind and I know how things are/should be’ and with that I had the most scary unimaginable trip Letting go is not always easy but understanding it’s out of our control is a good insight
  15. @Matt8800Appreciate the data and speculations but I don’t agree with you in comparing humans to other animals. It goes much deeper than what “data” will support. I am not interested in debating further. I just wanted to express my opinion. Overpopulation is Just one of many causes of climate change. I went to school to learn about sustainability/climate change etc so I totally see where you’re coming from, as in, we humans cannot get out of our own ways but it doesn’t mean we won’t stop trying to fix things. Only logical solutions are focusing on what we can change but even this will be futile until (how I see it) there is a shift in consciousness
  16. @Matt8800Life is all about relationships, and for humans the most important one being the one we have with ourselves. The more educated humanity has become, the less overpopulation is the issue. In the US already people choose not to reproduce if they cannot afford to have a child. You may be underestimating our ability to adapt and thrive. It is definitely true if a species is not fit to survive, they will be wiped out and replaced. The earth is like one giant organism full of life, continuously evolving.
  17. Yes we must first accept our current situation and it’s consequences. Not sure about your speculation of population reduction or what kind of research you’ve done looking at growth rates but just like climate change, overpopulation is another result of conflict/corruption/dysfunction/division you may be surprised by how many people this planet can comfortably hold especially if our interactions/relationships change
  18. Climate change will not be resolved unless we address the root cause of all the problems. Overpopulation is not the root cause and control will never be the solution
  19. Yes but it isn’t just the technology. There will have to be a shift or psychological evolution to change society and our relationships. Awesome part is we can all make the change within ourselves and have a positive impact on everything else
  20. @Jack RiverExactly! To see fear simply as an opportunity to holistically understand the division. This "facing the fear", and staying with what is, in turn may bring about the end of time/division/self
  21. let go of any effort/concentration as the “mindfulness” you strive to maintain is not actually the awareness which brings insight When the observation of thoughts is affecting your natural flow this implies as Jack says a concentration/state which neglects a seeing of the whole
  22. Not fair! I cannot be in the place if an ? as I have much more knowledge. However I can imagine what frustration an infant might endure communicating and having to relate to such beings. How do you mean veil being God forgetting? Maybe a lack of oneness?
  23. Catchy title no? Real question: Has anyone else heard of the Wim Hof and his heavy breathing/ice water therapy method? Do you think this has a positive impact on consciousness work? He has faced near death multiple times, broken many world records, and is redefining the limitations of science on the body/mind. He has created a movement i would call tier 2/post-rational scientific understanding of what the human body is capable of in regards to treating sickness and diseases both mental and physical. Wim is an extraordinary man who is assisting mankind in its paradigm shift to realize the true connection of consciousness I used to practice it a few years ago and when i learned about Shamanic breathing from Leo, it reminded me of his method only less time consuming. Wim Hof Method basically consists of a few heavy breathing sessions building up the oxygen in the blood/body followed by cold shower or ice bath (depending on the degree of experience). I used to use ice baths for faster recovery when i lifted/played soccer, and this coupled with the breathing made for what i'd call a 'mental reset' and abundance of energy. I recommend this video if you have never heard of him! "I do not fear death, i fear not to live fully" "You become the alchemist of your own chemistry" And this Joe Rogan podcast if you want to learn more about him as a person! "we need to change the way we think"
