There is no way to live without the mind One may find harmonious action instead of reaction but this does not mean there will not be desires. Desires and preferences will be seen for what they are and still play a vital role in the game of life -

Very powerful indeed. Some people become masters at this. Letting go of the neurotic control the mind holds over the now I used to take ice baths and it would hit me so hard. All of a sudden I would become very aware of the now. When thoughts/fear occasionally became present I would assert thoughts to trick the mind/body (*the water is actually perfect, not cold but desirable, the state the body needs to be in*) -

this is something that happens all the time as a kid, no worries regrets judgements. Boundless energy, easy flow of emotions, joy arising at any moment as a kid it doesn’t get labeled -
Thanks Charlotte, I am inspired to start Journaling once I return home. It is something I have never done before but I can see how it can be beneficial for expression and reflection. I don’t see any benefit in using it for accountability but sharing is also great. Life is such a beautiful thing I did not intentionally start following your journal but glad I did ??

Who’s asking these questions? Is this fear? To see fear is control is thought is desire is confusion There can be no control of these mechanics however when it is seen as a fact perhaps there may be freedom to break free of the limitations -

@Consilienceit’s not about taking blame or pointing fingers, it’s about accepting what is and taking full responsibility. I can totally see how this would be quite triggering for you and many others. It takes an extremely open mind and deep reflection on our personal beliefs to see how this could be true. What if it is possible from the absolute perspective the situation was chosen? -
Avoidance to being in the NOW perhaps? Could this be relatable to the activity of sleep? Is there resistance to what is?

For this you must understand the nature of thoughts, what exactly are they implying? What creates a thought? You can only identify with what you believe you are..use self inquiry and find out who am I. If your tendencies pull you back into ego, repeat. Find the truth of the I am feeling. -

possibly. if the true self is unchanging/always there, how do you find it? -
DrewNows replied to Wisebaxter's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@WisebaxterYes there’s a big insight here—DO NOTHING. If your effort will not guide you out of ego then what is left? One more question: who is aware of awareness? -

@Leo Gurahe handles it quite well however and it’s been most insightful never have I had such a clear understanding of enlightenment approached from different angles -
I would actually look into your perfectionism. In what other areas of life is it present. Then understand it completely so you can change the unwanted behaviors

At a certain level it does. Beliefs in of themselves are relative -

It is the beliefs and assumptions around LOA that’s toxic The title of this thread should be “fuck my idea of the law of attraction “ here’s my understanding: loa is simple. Recognizing the limiting beliefs you hold, start living as the person you invision yourself to be— this means putting in as much work as you would imagine is needed and taking every opportunity you encounter to reach the goal. And of course there is confirmation bias of the mind you can be aware of and expectations people always tend to create why not choose to look at reality as being your own creation? There’s freedom in this but it will require you to be extremely honest -
@ElysianFascinating dude! Good share ?

Infinitely funny as well as lovely in of itself! Makes me think of the end of the scene in this show -- "Don't be afraid! Don't be f#%*ing afraid! Don't make me do this by myself. It's a journey people!" - Joe Yes i concur! expressed beautifully! -

Awesome quotes dude. Giving up the idea of enlightenment seems so counterintuitive but then maybe one can begin to see through their own illusions if they remain watchful of themselves have you explored J Krishnamurti’s work? He walks us through the illusions we create so we can begin to become aware of the total movement of thought/self -
@CharlotteDog walking/sitting has been awesome. I haven't walked more than 5 at a time and normally walk 1-2 but yeah fascinating to learn about all the different personalities and quite the pleasure showing them some love playing fetch or running with em. The most fun ive had was picking up 3 dogs and taking them out to the park trails to hike/run with me, watching them all run around, play together and find ways to make my car a mess afterwards (water, mud). Beautiful creatures, especially seeing when they feel completely free The first dog i had stay with me, it was for a few weeks, and it gave me a strong emotional response when he had to go home. I had developed such an attachment and this was a huge hurdle i was able to clear, which has helped grow my awareness of the relationship i have with myself and relationships in general I have many dogs i walk regularly and sometimes i have meet and greet before i sit new dogs, but sometimes i just feel like the 'dog whisperer'

Interesting, thanks!

Yup. We like to judge humans as we have much relational experience and misconceptions about how people should live. Meanwhile animals are foreign, unrelatable, and often projected upon to be as we think best fits our world view

@CharlotteI’ve had my own dog walking/sitting business for a year or so now and can definitely understand what you mean. In fact it’s been a great tool for seeing what is attached/needy love vs unconditional recently watched this video about pets @Aquariusawesome words of advice dude! Lot of wisdom, easier said then done
