  1. Thanks. Appreciate your view i suppose even doing nothing can become neurotic
  2. @TheAvatarStateReqding becomes an issue when we have been taught to really focus and don’t stop for so and so amount of time for me this can often turn reading into an action of the past or identity based activity when that subconscious developed technique is triggered
  3. Thank you. Yeah I have some emotional issues or trauma which are still triggering the responses in certain situations (sometimes perpetuating). Do you know of an online source for in the US? (Pm me If that’s cool)
  4. @Joseph Maynorhmm okay, how long did you wait between trips? I had my first awakening about 6 months after my trip and it was during my reading of the power of now which I randomly picked up at the book store and started reading almost out of mockery as I had no interest/knowledge of spirituality, and in a state of severe depression. So tired of dragging on my life story. I was ready to give up and surrender
  5. @Jkriswith psychs, the part of the brain that gives you your sense of self gets cut off (correct me if I’m wrong) and therefore the mind literally can feel the sense of death, I can testify to this and my mind fought for dear life as I went deeper and deeper down the rabbit hole
  6. Thank you ? for sharing @Joseph Maynor did you have a tough upbringing? Was all of the psychs for growth purposes, the experience, or an escape from reality as you knew it?
  7. Damn. Many times? What did you learn the most from?
  8. @Joseph Maynordid you do any? I’ve done mushrooms once. Regretted it for a good while afterwards but it was super humbling, an experience of a life time and I am open for the next opportunity if it shall arise
  9. @Elisabethwhy do you think her team does this, or actually why do you think she doesn’t site her sources? (Possibly her self image?)
  10. @Paul92this book would be great for you. We learn from a very young age to begin making assumptions and often lose our sense of curiosity. this would definitely be truth from that perspective. And you will never lose that perspective, but there's a chance you will expand beyond it
  11. dis-identification is a process to go through personally, like staying alert to the present moment, not to stop thoughts but to observe them. So can thoughts cause suffering? why can they cause suffering? Why do you identify with your thoughts? Is it because you are aware of them and consider them to be about you, created by you? If so, then what is aware of the awareness of your thoughts? If you do this practice maybe you can see exactly how you aren't simply "who you think you are" dis-identifying is realizing how suffering and everything else we associate as happening to us is actually created by the mind
  12. As you are observing the thought, cancel it (identify it), clear it (release it), and delete it by redirecting attention to the present. (technique from the.holistic.psychologist Instagram page) This is for negative thoughts. Now you can also figure out what belief you hold about yourself (in relation to the situation) resulting in this reoccurring thought
  13. What are you searching for in this stuff? (other than yourself) who says you can't see other people as unique individuals? Can you prove there is no 'you'?
  14. don't mistake existence as something "you" had a choice in, but know it could not be any other way. It seems you have adopted some beliefs related to your experience giving you a limited perspective. Beliefs don't exist unless you think they do. Have you adopted beliefs from Leo? Look where this has gotten you. It doesn't mean we can't trust someone and enjoy their words of wisdom, but we don't have to make them our own My advice: until you have figured out "who you are", do not cling to ideas of an "ultimate truth"
  15. Cool subscribed. Did ya see eckhart new video addressing emotions and thoughts post enlightenment(actually it was in the state of presence as he calls it), his explanation and people’s ideas around that? To me it felt a little drawn out but well discussed
  16. Yup we are always going to be playing the game but don’t think for a second you can’t stay in alignment, that YOU can actually fall out of Alignment Wow I am literally just watching this video, couldn’t be more relevant to this lovely post Trust baby Edit: also this post always comes to mind when we question love
  17. Yes I’ve been through these phases too (if I should even call them that). More like perspectives and understanding. Personally I think necessary and unavoidable and probably stemming from long held beliefs relating to god and religion as an atheist or agnostic (whatever he was) rhe important thing i noticed is his strong will to never settle or stop questioning which has ultimately created for him, tremendous psychological growth, wisdom and success. He seems to be coming into his surrendering and happiness phase, im guessing. Or merely figuring out the balancing act
  18. Awesome do you think the energy is always there but the mind creates blocks, like why it’s easier in nature. Would you say it is much like feeling connected in nature?
  19. @Serotoninluvawesome dude very insightful perspective wisdom here. I can relate about feeling like I’m practically jumping into someone’s skin, or rather their state of mind/emotional state. Not sure how deep I actually get but it definitely feels like a completely new way of viewing an individual. In the video she did not have the intention of gaining his trust as he didn’t show any kind of openness to be vulnerable. Instead she decided on giving him her ears and undivided attention as well as perspective What you describe reminds me of how Teal Swan handles her workshops (completely different type of atmosphere). From his tone it’s easy to sense his built up anger and pain but as far as his hat and identity, there are many assumptions we could make (all relating to his ego) that are probably reflecting his state of mind. I didn’t notice the hat was “worn” or that he sounded old hahaha Another part of me thinks she was scared to go into that deep state of mind/perspective/vibrational state to see if she could reach him because it could become quite unpleasant real fast kind of like an untrusting cornered dog you are trying to get to surrender And again I don’t think it is her job to help him out of that unless he was ready or willing to get on board
  20. I agree with this. @Serotoninluv I feel that for her to create such a deep emphathetic connection with him would actually be agaianst the best interests of the group as a whole. Possibly even bad for her own well being. It’s a trap us empaths often fall into.. She had to take up another role in the interaction by helping him open up without actually meeting energy levels quite enjoyed the video and discussion
  21. @Serotoninluvawesome ? yes I think feeling love also can easily create this connection. We get so accustomed to looking for differences and judging instead of taking in the EXPERIENCE. I’ve been learning about dog psychology to do training and rehabilitation practices and it has literally blown me away learning about how dogs think (pack leaders, energy focused, polarities, and surrendering into the submissive role). I want to create a thread about it because some of it is very relatable to consciousness work, working through trauma and overcoming fear
  22. Creating a reputation on a forum can easily become another perpetuated identification/obstacle @Serotoninluvbut how does one surrender to this collective energy field?
  23. Holding onto fear is resistance. Can we see how knowledge is fear? How to tap into this magic?
  24. This thread was moved to this subforum after most of the posts had taken place within the consciousness work subforum. Please be aware of this fact before commenting and keeping this thread active. It would be best to lock it as @Ryan_047 proposes
  25. I feel eckhart caters to the non spiritually conditioned mind which is great
