  1. Every perspective is it's own world. Yes, you are talking to robots. As am I.
  2. @spicy_pickles do what you feel is right. If others disagree, continue, or, adapt, if it feels right to you. Even if every single human being on the planet disagrees with you, do what feels right.
  3. I suggest you check out the link I posted, if you can take a very, very long read.
  4. A while back I read this article: https://waitbutwhy.com/2015/01/artificial-intelligence-revolution-1.html And started to study that topic a little bit. In conclusion, everything points out that superintelligent AI will be around in 20-30 years. From that point on things get more wacky because exponential growth in intelligence will continue. But long before that, we will have cured diseases of old age, and not far from now, the average life span of humans will increase more than a year each year. Boom. Immortality. Yes you can still get hit by a bus, although chances are not so high when they're all driving autonomously. Many people disagree with this, but that's because they haven't studied it and are locked in linear thinking. So before you start throwing out you're own ideas about this, please study this stuff (the article I linked is a good place to start). Of course some people predict that AI will destroy the human race, but I'm optimistic. I think alongside AI we will enhance ourselves (a process that's already well underway). So eventually, we will not only be immortal, but also omnipotent. What else can you be when you're 1 trillion times more intelligent than you are now. And then... More recently, I've been understanding the nature of reality itself more and more. All of this is, is a dream. There is no matter. There is only this. Reality is infinite. Everything is possible. This body can die but only this story will end. There are infinitely more stories. I won't die. I am it. You are it. Even though the you i'm talking to doesn't exist. The one who's consciously reading this is creating this by himself. And he's also me. The whole story about AI and the future pales in comparison to knowing existence itself. But if this body might life 100 more years, intelligence is so absurdly high, will it not reach the levels of god itself? Why is this. Why did I create this story where this happens. I'm thrilled to see what happens when the story end. But i'm also thrilled to see where the story goes. I guess that's why I created this world.
  5. @Dodo nothing special about the law of attraction. If you have a true desire for something, you will get it. The stronger the desire to get it, and the lower the fear of the obstacles, the higher chance you have of getting it. But don't think you can just get everything. You have to inherently desire it, which, you have zero control over.
  6. @aurum good points. They don't want their ego to die, because they believe they are their ego. If you find out your true nature, you'll know there is zero difference between life and death. Maybe the experience of dying might be a bit painful, but that's about it. Don't forget about creation. You can create anything, play with your own creation. Be your own creation. Hm this sounds familiair... I am currently being my own creation. I am on a journey becoming... myself Wow, epic insight i'm having right here...
  7. Why is there something instead of nothing? Well, if there was nothing, in comparison to what would it be nothing? Something! So there HAS to be something! But for something to exists, it must be compared to nothing! So all of existence is nothing and something at the same time. A strange loop. Boom. All of existence explained. I don't know if this makes sense to other people but it does to me now. This question has bugged me ever since I was a little kid. Now, with the help of Leo's videos, and lots of meditation, self-enquiring and contemplating, I'm starting to get it. Really awesome stuff.
  8. The first type of immortality I described is of the ego. Which of course is only relatively immortal. It has to die at some point due to the limitations of this universe. The immortal true being isn't contained.
  9. I don't think so. I've been searching for enlightenment these last few years and I have never been depressed or anything close to it. I just like to improve myself. This has gone from simplifying my life and building a business to spirituality. I've also been improving my diet for years, although I've never been unhealthy or overweight or anything. Something that goes well doesn't mean it shouldn't be improved.
  10. In duality it does, therefore existence can only be non-dual. There just is a tree... It exists and doesn't exist simultaneously. Also it doesn't not exist nor exists simultaneously. It is as much as it's not.
  11. It doesn't matter. Most enlightened people do not care about other people agreeing that they're enlightened. But even enlightened people still have a conditioned body/mind mechanism that could proclaim itself enlightened.
  12. I hear this sound too very clearly if I focus on it. Never really bothered to investigate it. Interesting stuff!
  13. 1. You can still pursue anything you like, there is just no feeling of pressure or fear. Motivation to do something still occurs. 2. You still feel feelings. You still feel love, very likely much more then you used too. And also there is no fear of losing that love. 3. Most people are already very much detached from feelings and thoughts, but all the while acting upon them unknowingly. Being enlightened, you see your thoughts and feelings very clearly, but they won't control your life anymore. 4. Well, walk away maybe? Unconditional love does not equal being unable to act. 5. Excitement still occurs. The desire to relive that excitement over and over again doesn't occur. Fear of missing out is also gone. 6. True, you cannot change how you feel. But you don't need to act on those feelings anymore, so in that case, you are now running the show. 7. True, that's not realistic. But what about being in total peace with your down mood?
  14. Before trying to make any predictions about when AI reaches human-level capabilities based on your gut feelings, read this: https://waitbutwhy.com/2015/01/artificial-intelligence-revolution-1.html Or listen to this guy: He has been about 84% correct on his past predictions about the future, because he bases them on very predicable exponential growths, like Moore's law, which has been going strong for over 50 years.
  15. Is it necessary to keep your eyes open longer and longer to not be blind?
  16. Of all Leo's video's, this one has had the most impact on my life: I would really like to see a more advanced video about this topic.
  17. Then simply only plan in a day what's possible for you. I do this (weekly) and I feel awesome every time, because mostly I can do a little more. And also do what @Michael569 said. I do that and works wonders for me.
  18. @Spider Jerusalem It's not an object. Once you get that you get it. You still have to search for it, but not like you do normal searching. It's more like searching for your glasses everywhere, until you find out you're already wearing them.
  19. @onacloudynight I have been gradually caring less and less about stuff in my life. I'm now at a point that in most conversations I fake my interest. They rave about their vacations, video games, sports, movies. I just don't care about that stuff anymore. I haven't bought anything that is pleasure-related in years. That doesn't mean I don't enjoy things anymore, I can still enjoy a good meal, a good movie, sex or whatever. I just don't desire it any more. Mostly i'm driven to things that are creative, help me self-actualize or just stuff that needs to be done. Too me this is total awesomeness. What about you?
  20. @ArasH Based on how he's acting, and the calmness he resonates, I think he's on to something.
  21. @phoenix666 I think it is our natural state, but our current society creates too many fears and desires
