  1. Because taxes - if done right - pay for common goods that wouldn't be cared about otherwise in a capitalist system. E.g.: Schools, public benches, public roads, law enforcement, people that are unable to work, keeping the environment clean, and much much more.. It's an antidote to the tragedy of the commons. The only problem lies in what's being done with that money. That's an area where problems arise that need to be solved. But still just stopping to pay taxes isn't a solution and pretty egotistical. Unethical or ethical... the true question is: What works and what doesn't?
  2. I never denied that I care about my life lol I also care about LIFE. Define special, there's so much misunderstanding here I feel. I 100% listen to what I say and consider the possibility that you're right. That's also a paradox. I know that I know better than anyone else could tell me, but if I think I know better than everyone else I run the risk of becoming deeply deluded. It's a balancing act. Anyway, with special I mean that you think you're better and wiser than everyone else. You'll never be as wise or intelligent as LIFE, which everyone else is a part of. So if you mistake your (human) self for all of life, problems arise. I'm sure you'd agree. Special needs a comparison. In comparison to me as a human LIFE is special in ways I couldn't even begin to understand. I am life, so yeah, I'm special I guess. But it's really a question what we mean with 'I'.
  3. Yeah I got that already. This thread's main purpose is to entice a discussion, so I'm also partly playing devil's advocate. Realizing God doesn't make one special, though. I will.
  4. Calm down lol... I know what you're talking about. But being God can't be anything special because there's nothing else to compare it to. God is also the most ordinary thing ever AT THE SAME TIME as being the most incredible miraculous divinity. It HAS to be that way. Going across the street to catch the next bus, taking the next sip of tea, doing your taxes is God too! Of course! Not being worthy is remnant of ego. It is not that pronounced in my personal configuration. Edit: That doesn't mean I can't or won't go deeper. Of course I do.
  5. Agreed. I once wrote "This Is It". All 3 words mean the same. I didn't say normal, I said nothing special That thought never crossed my mind. This on the other hand definitely. There's no one to share it with, except those parts of me/you that are still in the dark.
  6. That was my MO for most of my life, and I'm sure that's true for most humans today. Everything seemed ordinary, shallow and bland. Now everything is magical again. It's actually amazing that you can even perceive it as ordinary. That's the magic.
  7. Of course it can't be compared to anything. But is it eternal bliss or eternal torture or just meh? Or all of it? Or none?
  8. You are choosing consciously to limit yourself, but you’re not aware of that right now.
  9. Yeah maybe I was overly harsh there. But I got some vibes of clinging to something in the first post.
  10. You are God. Leo is Leo. Leo is God. I am God. You are me. My point is.. being God is nothing special. At some point you've got to leave all teachers behind. It seems to me as if you're still putting Leo on a pedestal in an unhealthy way. Do I have a point?
  11. You're imagining drugs. Don't be a slave to your own imagination.
  12. Osho was one of the most awakened guys to ever live. Many pearls of wisdom. But don't forget that no one can be as awake as you can
  13. My cat I’ve known for only 2 weeks but loved dearly died tragically last week. The pain and sadness I felt especially during a shroom trip a few days ago was the most real thing I experienced in a long time. It was so heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. I would have never wanted it if „I“ had the choice of course, but I see the greater picture. It’s like going double-tracked through life.
  14. Every kind of spirituality that aims at leaving this world in one or the other way is absolute BS. We're here to be human. If that wasn't the case we wouldn't be here. God doesn't care about enlightenment or going to infinity. God cares about being HUMAN! It's the greatest creation ever and you want to throw it away just because you suffer? Then you didn't get it. This is about LOVE. It hurts, but it is so unbelievably breathtakingly beautiful. It's bittersweet. No spiritual teacher teaches you to be Human enough. That's the highest kind of teaching. Everything else is child's play. Don't try to be enlightened, try to be Human. Enlightenment is easy, but being Human is very hard. Since you have no idea...
  15. Yes. But they are way beyond anything you can conceive. There's no going back to the human form, except if you create the universe anew.
  16. @Davino Besides that it absolutely makes a difference what you do or don't do. Or would you say that it makes no difference if you kill somebody or not? Sure, the Absolute remains perfectly undisturbed, but your experience will be a world of difference.
  17. Thanks for explaining how exactly you mean it. I agree completely! I know all that already and I am conscious of it! But when you really got it you realize that it makes absolutely no difference what you do or don't do. And then you begin to PLAY. And the great plot twist is that through that Play the absolute begins to awaken to itself on a completely new level you didn't think was possible before. That's the paradox here. It's not at all about changing the world – it's about complete and radical TRANSFORMATION. This is not the same thing! It's not about some better state in the future, it's about releasing the massive amounts of Potential that is bound in the physical. It's like the beginning of a supernova of Consciousness. As soon as you feel that you know that that's as real as it gets. It's not about winning or losing something – both are impossible, because what is is already Absolute. It's about experiencing and actualizing God in a very direct way, in ways that one didn't even deem possible before. The heights that are possible to achieve are unimaginable. And there's nothing else to do!
  18. We are able to create incredible amounts of suffering on this planet, as we see right now. But we're also capable of doing the opposite.
  19. Oh yeah, that's exactly the right question! This is what we should really contemplate.
  20. But we are Human. That's not random, God wills this consciously into existence. You could disappear into eternal bliss this instant, but that's not what God decides to do. God decides to be Human.
