  1. I am reading a famous book most of you may have read called THE POWER OF NOW by Eckhart T. In the book, it is said repeatedly that we always searching for happiness/truth/enlightenment in the future... we want a certain something to transpire first and onlu after that said event occurs will we get our happiness/enlightenment/awakening... Is the author saying that as someone who has not done all this self-inquiry work, someone who is very much attached to my current level ego's likes/dislikes etc, that as this current ego-full person, I can somehow reach deep within myself NOW and be enlightened? Won't that mess me up more? as in, having seen the absolute in my current untrained state - how can i integrate that back smoothly into my life like the author has for example? in his case, and in the case of many others, enlightenment was achieved during their darkest of times, when they are ready to let-go, surrender, die and not care/worry about it... so in order to get a quick glimpse of the absolute, does one have to go deep into themselves (IN THE NOW) - and somehow reality is revealed to them? or anytime a glimpse is seen, it is via ego-death.. be it a full blown awakening, or a quick glimpse, ego-death is the common ground required?
  2. @Highest what meditation method did you use (i am sure many) but which did you find the most fruitful... ? i know it may vary for me though lol - but just curious... my expectation of it working because it did for you will make it work for me
  3. @Highest are you enlightened/awakened? also. i am quite new to this stuff... i am gathering info right now so i can guide myself on the path correctly.. but i feel like i keep delaying self-inquiry work which seems to be very important to attain enlightenment/glimpse of it even... but yeah, i am very curious about all this... as it maybe evident with my long posts and many topics i have asked questions in what also blows my mind, that all this meditation / self inquiry etc is all said to be "not required" also by many masters... because it is the "pathless-path" so there is no process to enlightment, it just happens when you just fully let go... i guess meditation assits in letting go.. unsure why masters speak that way... maybe they go back n forth between teaching directly and indirectly with the wording they use
  4. Q: The feeling of butterflies in the stomach - that is usually experienced when you encounter someone/something whom/which you Love. Is that the feeling of enlightenment except boundless, extreme and a billion times more butterflies in the stomach than the regular love/crush feeling?
  5. Hmmm thank you very much for sharing. i hope to one day have that experience and "live" to tell the tale @Highest
  6. @Highest hmmm. Thanks Oh. I'm sure whatever you have seen sounds impossible. That's one thing which I don't pay much attention to anymore, the word impossible, since I started on this path. Do share just once aspect if it can be said in words... Just give me the intellectual sweet taste of reality Also, what you speak of here, about what you have "seen" Do u refer to seeing some version of beautiful manifest form or do u speak of something beyond form or accessible in awakened state only? Like stuff on DMT is also what people see and is impossible too But I feel you're talking deeper, kind of what Leo says when he states "what happened to me is impossible" The fact that it clearly happened to him in his experience and yet it is realized as an impossibility (from human/ego point of view) just effin blows my mind and draws me ever so deeply into the wanting to know and experience this for myself . Hopefully I'm still sane after that But jokes on me... I don't exist
  7. @Highest do talk more about this magnificent and unbelievable reality. Are u referring to the design of the construct? How it all comes together? I love it when those who have seen it / awKened talk about it.
  8. Q: If can be put into words, please describe how reaching the throne of Formlessness consciously feels/looks like?
  9. @cetus56 hmmm so right now. i am aware of the whole body unit - my legs, arms, torso, head etc... i am aware that all of this put-together is what i can "me" enlightment in a way, you feel that the whole of reality is you... i guess saying "feel" isnt correct.. you KNOW the whole reality is you... does one feel that physically or it's a deep knowing? i asked this above question about myself right now... do i physcially have a feeling i am my body? not really.. but i "know" i am my body. PLEASE GIVE ME THAT UNIVERSAL REALITY KNOWING Gimme that MINDFUCK but then let me intergrate it slwoly in my duality life
  10. thank you or is it really correct to say thank YOU? there is no YOU - there is only me... so instead. i will simply say Thanks
  11. @cetus56 wow thanks this is what i pretty much thought was the case in a new topic i asked a question in. thank you could you please tell me sir from what you know about this state/level of search example: aadashanti describes that he was sitting and meditating and trying to get the truth - experiince it / get enlightened and he says, all of a sudden it felt that he will never get it, it wont happen, it was utter defeat he felt and then almost instantly - this transformed and he was enlighteneded does this mean he had not had a glimpse/awakening before this? same as mooji, before seeing papaji he had not had awakening/glimpse before? so after this moment for adyashanti, he was in that state of permananet lasting enlightment (given his years of work and letting go / detachment exercises etc) but before this, they were like any of the regular seekers? i guess what i am trying to ask is this... that the glimpse/awkening episode itself is NOT the end. its a MAJOR MAJOR BIGGEST milestone in the journey, which then requires intergration for the body-unit to live peacefully in the duality >?
  12. @cetus56 hmmmm. i hear that often, that one that moment comes to "let go" fear surfaces... not just any fear... like the WORST fear/state comes up i suppose this is a defensive mechanism of the ego which is built-in i know it's probably very difficult in the moment / while it's happening but would it be correct to say that if one somehow pushes themselves and let's go - then she/he should expect / try to focus on the fruit of letting go - which is liberation? like the fear to not let go is that one feels that upon letting go, she/he will die? is that what it feels like? (from what i have read - haven't done very deep self-inquiry yet) but one should realize that letting go (even though it may feel like death) won't be death BUT many people go into depression after running into this higher reality - do they not? liberation is not a given - it may occur briefly while in that state and then one returns back to duality, then having seen the absolute recently - one needs to start the process of surrendering or letting go for their attachments to life? may ask another question in a topic version if this wasn't clear... but i just want to understand the "process" so to speak... yes, it's likely a non-process..
  13. @cetus56 hi question i suppose you're enlightened? or have had awakenings? please answer from what you know either from direct experience or your knowledge this: you said "Nothing changes in reality except for the way you see it." do you mean nothing changes on day-to-day when one is "living in the illusion" yet awake to it... like awake that one is "dreaming" so to speak? so when do those states occur, where one feels infinite love - job - peace - bliss is that a state which someone who is awakened/enlightened goes to when they decide to meditate or be more present? shift back/forth between those states?
  14. hmmmm thanks guys! really helps love learning more and more everyday there is no limit i guess there could be a way to raise a child... (sadly, outside of society) but yeah, raise it, so that she/he remains "enlightneded" and is more reinforced/refined from a younger age.. maybe my ignorance, but i am sure many kids in Buddhist or Indian countries do raise kids right in the midst of this teaching... or maybe it's too much for a child to absorb and get? #infinitepossibilities so it's definitely a version
  15. Kullu Nafsin Zaiqatul Mawt – Every soul shall taste Death… This is from the Quran. This is what God tells us. What happens after death? What is death? Death is the Day of Judgement. YOUR Judgement. By yourself. By "you" It is the judgement of your ego-self by your real-self it is the deep self-inquiry which we all will be subject to. Those who have done "good" deeds will find a easy path out of the purging vs those who have done "bad" deeds After the death of the body, an ordinary person who does not know the concept of ego-death will be going thru that. Of course as awareness (our real-self) is eternal, there will remain awareness after the death of the body. The ordinary person will see this as their "soul" now afloat in space and so on. At the same time, they will enter this realm which many of us try to go while our physical body is alive... Via meditation/self inquiry. Once the soul which is going thru this death accepts the ego-death - he/she will transcend to one-ness (heaven). The ones with deep connectedness to the world, to this life, the ones who have not surrendered or letgo, the ones who have not let-go of the emotions, hidden away deep demon feelings etc... all of that will bubble up and it will feel like HELL. that is what HELL is. it is very fortunate for those of us who at least are aware of this before the death of the body... right now it is something which we do not do very easily because we are afraid of losing this ego-life we have still to live. but post death, the path to the self-inquiry of the ego-death would be (i presume/hope) easier with out current knowledge about this. i guess that ego-death post death is something which would be easy for those living a good/pious life. i know many muslims who pray 5 times a day, do good deeds, remain good as a whole - how easy do you think the path to heaven would be for such a person post death. very easy. so sure, enlightment is ego-death b4 the death of the body... and thru that enligthment, ur sitting at the doors of heaven (to be entered post body-death) waiting for the connection of ur body to end upon physcial-death but for those who do not have enlightment in their living life, will go thru the same ego-death at the time of their death and whatever the beliefs of each of us are about post-death, that will manifest - to the muslim thinking punishment in the grave is what awaits him, will have that manifest into his awareness... for the ones who think angels will desend down to question the soul, that is what awaits him.
  16. hmmmm thank you for advising on that.
  17. @Sockrattes There is only 1 type of death. Ego-Death or Death of Physical body - where your consiouness/awareness ends up after either of these "deaths" is the same place If you have a physical body death, then that awareness has no where to return back to - as the physical body can no longer function to be "alive" in the way that it usually is. What LEO refers to is ego-death BUT what he also underlines quite heavily is that fact that people think ego-death is a lower level of death. It is not. It is 100% the feeling that one would feel at the time of physical death. Your awareness feels that it will lose all of this life/world/your thoughts/memories/YOU so again, during a trip, don't physically kill yourself but know that EGO-DEATH IS Death (except you return back as your body is alive) and upon return you integrate (hopefully - slowly but surely?) whatever you may have learned in the VOID/ABSOLUTE.
  18. @PsiloPutty hmmmm thank you for that. will try i guess the do-nothing is so simple or too simple... implies that it is advanced. just like how enlightment is supposed to be the most simple/basic thing (once enlightneed that is - as you're seeing thru the illusion and realize how silly it all was) but to the unenlightnened, it seems impossible so will try the breathing exercise one question, as i progress and get better and better ( i guess that means i will get less distracted from observing the breath) is the end goal to be sitting there, with 0 distractions/thoughts and just notice/observe the breath for 20mins? for someone, let's say who has been doing this for 1 year now, every day. and can sit and notice breath for 20 mins... what is the goal there on this spirtuality/meditative path? for those 20 mins you are just aware? and feel peacefull after? or during this 20 mins you get insights once you have reached advanced level? please advise @Torkys thanks. i suppose it makes sense. and if you may, please answer this question if you know. thanks *crossing fingers, eyes, legs* hoping that answer is NOT " there is no goal/purpose" LOL
  19. @PsiloPutty do advise about this. i have yet to be practical about all this stuff. all my knowing and fascination thus far is mostly intellectual breathing focused technique... is that the do-nothing? you just breath in/out and do nothing?
  20. Keep watching them videos! Stumbling upon Leo's videos was a big turning point for me as well. I will recommend these videos by Leo for you, really mind blowing!
  21. you dont need to find something for you to know it's there for example, there is a proof in mathematics which tells us that maths is infinte... not the counting numbers aspect. but overall. like the number of different branches of maths, various formulas and relations are infinte
  22. 1. a suicide bomber, after his death, will be in "heaven" and get his 72 virgins. 2. heaven with gardens, fruits, milk-lakes (Quran/Bible version of Heaven) exists. about # 1 first. How can this be? the bomber is claiming so many innocent lives - how can such a person go to heaven? The answer: he goes to his version of heaven. We know that from God's point of view, there is no good/evil - it's all one, no distinctions So what appears to us in our experience is what we expect (law of attraction) What really drives this manifestation to reality is the BELIEF in it. We expect to die when we go in the water and cannot breath, or jump off a sky-scraper... (sounds silly, i know) but this expectation is another word for blind-belief, without a shred of a doubt... most suicide bombers/terrorists - especially in Afghanistan/Iraq etc are BRAINWASHED by another, promising heaven/72 virgins in the afterlife if they do this deed for the sake of God/Allah what we must realize is that these persons reach levels of belief that is unbroken, it is a 100% surety for them. some of these were taught when they were young kids... they have been grown up as lamb for slaughterING - so to them, it is an absolute truth that the end result is heaven their consiousness is clear - there is no guilt. only guilt needs to be gotten rid of. guilt/good/bad feelings are all illusiory... so provided that they have 100% belief in the end result, that is what they will manifest/see after death. that due to his/her deed, she/he is now in heaven (in the way it is consturcted in their mind - with other souls also living in that place jsut as others live among us in this dream of the "world" ) and in that construct of heaven, he/she will live eternally - he/she may never recognize the true nature/essence of us (may eventually) but that is the reality in which she/he lives after death AS THEIR MIND EXPECTS IT TO also. to those who practice law of attraction/manifestation. it only works if you have undying belief in the process not just that, if i think about being rich or getting money outta nowhere, it will happen. if you somehow became aware of the mechanics of this, and did believe as strongly as you do about dying if jumping outta building, then you will manifest that reality infront of you almost instantly about # 2 if one takes the pious/normal route to death and again, she/he is a believer of the heaven promised by Quran/bible - then that is where she/he will dwell allow me to ask you this. sure all that would/could be another construct of reality which is all illusiory - but given the option, would you not take it? that you can never die - live eternally in bliss and harmony - live with whoever you wish/will, marry or whatever as many women as you please (because that's the law of the land - in heaven, as we are told and as is constructed in your mind) in short: one having not a firm enough believe may not get this version of heaven after life, it is ultimately our beliefs which define our reality very important to note that this promised heaven is still illusiory but who will complain if one lives in eternal illusion if there is no pain, hungery, violence and nothing but fun, sex, food, no disease, no dirt, peace the higher level of full transesnedant out of the illusion to the god-head / oneness state is still the most higher level but this path/end still awaits to those souls who would be having this experinince knowing reality as all possiblities that can be, and all are now - then these states i describe above absoultely do exist. nothing can not exist. just the road-way, pathway to there needs to be taken - mechanism and belief is the key
  23. **infinite things which aren't yet discovered. there cannot be a finite #
  24. Yes. I agree. The same path must be walked... Starting on that path now makes it easier post-death even if enlightenment isn't achieved... The Knowing of this, what we are (awareness/not an individual), helps to detach easier after death. Again, who can confirm this... But seems very likely... What we are, remains. So one moment you're alive and in the body-mind and then your body dies, yet you remain, correct? So thus, begins the judgement/ego-death process when the One who is still aware post body death dives down into finding out what she/he really is - Those deep hidden demons Leo and others talk about which bubble up as we meditate and what not is what our guilts/fears/darkness are. And to truly detach and find peace one must allow these to pass and surrender to them... One must go thru hell before heaven can be achieved. The smaller your guilt/bad deeds which you're subconsciously guilty about/darkness - the easier your path forward. One thing which God/Allah says in Quran that he will forgive all sins, no matter how cruel etc but He will not forgive the Sin of Shirk - which is associating another power with God or saying there is more than One God... The other way to look at this is that God/Infinite/Absolute will not allow for that heavenly peace of Ego-Death unless/until one accepts the Oneness... That soul will continue to dwell in that depth of hell until it realizes that it's part of the One... That's what's being said/pointed to there. God bless us All and guide us to the path of Heaven(yes, not the gardens where lakes of milk are flowing etc - but eternal bliss/peace/love)
